The estate and hotel far exceeded my expectations. The staff were incredibly welcoming upon arrival. Snacks, water, and free samples in their shop area were a nice added touch beyond the standard breakfast & “check in cookie”. My room was phenomenal & the whirlpool option was the perfect way to unwind after a long day hiking at the state park. It was surprising to find they had a grill to use in the courtyard and a comfy fireplace area in the lobby as well. Although the construction was unexpected, the trails on the property were a very enjoyable experience at sunset. The only item I would suggest would be better signage on the trails located on the property (I simply missed the map at the counter)

We enjoyed our stay at the settlement greatly. Staff was great, the room was clean. We had a massage at the onsite lavendar spa both massage therapists were excellent. If there is anything I say needed improvement it would be the locks on the door very old school i.e. keys and the doorknobs rattled (very old).You had to twist the button inside the room to lock the door. Continental breakfast was just that cold food that had to be microwaved or toaster. We only did breakfast once then went out for food after that.

This place Was A Dump. The staff had attitudes and were just awful. They don’t Advertise That they only have stairs and no elevator I’m handicapped . Will never stay there again

We had the large 3 room suite. It was a wonderful place that we used to sleep 6 people. The facilities themselves are not new, and we knew that from reading other reviews, but I wasn’t prepared for the constant floor creaking. The space had a large kitchen table in a sunny nook, a large living room couch, two bathrooms and 3 bedrooms. It was disappointing to walk in on a hot July day to find no air conditioning on. Each space had an in wall unit which was super loud in the king suite room. One of the bedrooms had none as it was an interior room, which meant sleeping with the door shut (which we prefer) was not an option. The windows only had one layer of curtain, so you either blocked the sun completely, or your rooms showed right into the public courtyard and parking lot - both often full of people. I had read the reviews of breakfast, so I wasn’t as disappointed as others, but we did feel there is a way to make the experience better and more cost affective with less pre packaged single items The pool was the highlight for us - and truly the reason we booked here over other places for the four days. It was great quality, warm, and centrally located. The outside yard games available were a hit with our group too. With 6 of us in a space, that usually means 12 towels (one bath one pool) and there was not enough hooks/bars to meet that need. I did suggest that to the group on their personal comment card Overall - it is a safe and clean place to stay.

Loved the room with fireplace and hot tub. Very clean pool, great location, and very nice people.

The spa is advertised widely but booked abead and not available.

We have stayed at the Settlement Inn several times. Great property - has a very nice pool and, according to my husband, really good walking paths. It is walking distance to Sweetie Pies if you happen to be into pie.

The carpet in the rooms are dated. The hotel needs some updated rooms. I did see two bugs in my room.

Very nice place only 3 minutes to town. The room was clean and the staff were very friendly. I liked that it was away from the busy town and the traffic. I would stay here again.

Loved the area. Close to Fish Creek and Egg Harbor for shopping and eating. The grounds were nice. Spread out and felt warm. I had emailed the Inn to ask if we could bring a solo stove and set it up in a field so we could have fires at night. I was told the fireplace inside the lobby sitting area would be lit and we could enjoy that. The only time the fireplace was lit was during the day on Friday when we arrived around 2:30. It was disappointing. And it wasn’t for lack of wood. There was tons of wood outside the entrance. We had a gas fireplace in our room, but it barely had any flame. We loved that the windows opened. Kept us from having to put the air on. The carpeting was super dirty. Stains all over the place. For what this place charges a night, everything should be in working order and there should not be stains on the carpeting. For the price, we would not stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The bed was the most comfortable bed I have slept on in a hotel. I love that this place is just a couple of miles outside of Fish Creek so, it is very quiet. The outside pool is heated so, even with temps in the low 70's it was perfect.

The property is beautiful and clean. It has everything you need in your room for easy making of simple meals. It's a quiet building with good upkeep. The rooms are large and lovely. The breakfast was simple but just right.

We stayed 2nights. First impressions of the outside of the property well pictures online & what you see in person are totally different. It could really do with an update outside is very old looking but shows online it’s very well kept. The rooms are non-Smoking there is a smokers device outside. The rooms are very dated also & our room had this awful smell we turned the air unit off & opened the window, it smelted really bad. There were stains on the carpets & the shower needed replacement. Under the kitchen sink there bad smell also. Both representatives on the front desk were very nice could not fault them they were very helpful. I just think when people go away they expect to enjoy their stay.

Our room smelled heavy with a scented carpet fresh type smell the bathroom smelled extremely musty. We were able to open windows in our room witch helped, the bed was comfortable and location was close to town

Great location near Fish Creek, great room size, comfortable bed, love the Settlement Shops next door and Wed. Farmers Market there! But the room was dark! Dark burgandy paint, and very dim lights. It was hard to see and impossible to read in bed! When we moved to another room, the wall color was lighter and the lighting was much better!

The rooms are clean and spacious. Comfortable accommodations with the kitchenette and table.

We stayed in a two bedroom suite, Sunday through Tuesday. The room was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful. The beds were quite soft, which is great for me, but may be uncomfortable if you need a firm mattress. The bedrooms were a bit small, not terrible, but tight enough that it may be difficult for someone with mobility issues to get around the far side of the bed. The living area was comfortable with a nice, deep sofa and a recliner. It was too warm for the fireplace, but it would be a very cozy space in cooler months. The kitchenette is a great option in door county, with all of the markets providing so much fresh, locally produced foods. The location is fantastic, a quieter spot just outside town, with its own little group of shops just outside the back door. The AC is located in the main room, so if you keep the bedroom doors closed it can get a little stuffy. Noise does seem to carry from the hall and neighboring rooms, but I couldn’t say how much as we were there for the slowest part of the week and it wasn’t very full.

Room was very spacious & clean, linens nice quality; room included a kitchenette & fireplace which was really nice.

If I wanted to stay in grandma’s attic this would have been prefect. However I wanted some place that had modern amenities and made for the current time period. We needed more plugs and outlets for electronics. Lightning would be nice. Trying to put on makeup was a challenge. The bathroom was not made for more than one person to get ready in. Lastly the bed should have been replaced 8 year’s ago.

Staff were kind. Building is outdated. Room colors are dark and not enough light. Air conditioning unit in room is extremely noisy

Nice location and friendly staff. Good price and continental breakfast. Only complaint is that the walls/floors are thin enough that we had a lower than normal noise level from our neighbors above us. Luckily they didn't stay up late, but pretty loud creaky floor above us.

We rented a suite with two separate rooms that gave us each privacy. The continental breakfast was really good and there were free snacks in the afternoon. The Inn is really quiet so sleep was easy at night. Staff were very attentive.

We were charged $100 for a broken closet door. The closet door could not be opened when we arrived so we assumed it was already damaged. We never even used this closet. There was no phone call or discussion - just a charge showing up on my card for $100.00. The room smelled terribly will not visit this place again

First, I'll get the room for improvement out of the way. We went off-season, just before the tourist season began. The room had the smell of a room that has been vacant for a long time. A little musty. For the good, they were exceptionally friendly. There wasn't an in-room iron or board, but they quickly provided one upon request. The room was clean, the beds soft, and comfortable. We slept well. The wet bar and apartment refrigerator were dated, but worked well. Overall the entire room was clean. There were multiple places where we could get ready. We had a standard 2 queen room. The exclamation point for the stay was the staff. We realized we forgot a belt for my son, for prom, and the found us a place that sold belts in downtown Fish Creek. And when we were taking pictures of the kids before they left for the dance the staff took pictures too so my wife and I could be in some of the pictures. Check out Sweetie Pies next door while you're there.

The room was very spacious. We had a king bed with small kitchenette and sitting area. The room also had a gas fireplace. We were able to checkin early. They even contacted us a day before to let us know early checkin would be available. The staff was very friendly. Would stay here again as the location was perfect. It’s centrally located in Door County.

The property is conveniently located on the highway and therefore very easy to find. The room was well laid out and contained the requisite furniture - bed, table and chairs, TV, phone - fireplace and a kitchenette. Although the soundproofing did not prove as effective as the front desk person promised (we could hear lots of walking around upstairs, music and conversations from the adjoining room, etc), it was generally quiet during nighttime hours. The common areas, both indoors and outdoors were pleasant. The breakfast was very basic - cold continental, and we did not receive any housekeeping during our four-night stay.

Place was very quiet and relaxing. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Everything was fresh and tasty with the free breakfast. I highly recommend, and will be back.

We stayed 3 nights. Hotel was convenient enough to the lake and towns in the area by car, but was kind of remote. Would probably pick something closer to town and lake next time. Room was kind of stuffy and had a faint odd smell - maybe septic tank related. Fire alarm went off at midnight the last night of our stay with no explanation. Felt like guests were on our own since no manager on site after hours, but fire department responded and cleared. Continental breakfast below average. Left room the first day around 10:00 but it wasn’t cleaned and made up that day.

We thought it to be a mid-1980s constructed 2 story with a pool and free morning breakfast. The king bed was soft. It is nice but shows its age a bit. It is up the hill 1 1/2 mile from downtown Fish creek. There is a walking path accessed from the property. It is not far from loathe other towns, restaurants, orchards, wineries, many golf courses (as well as some challenging mini golf courses) and the Peninsula State park. We very much enjoyed our stay.

We felt at home and enjoyed the large room, comfortable beds, fireplace, kitchen. The staff were so kind and friendly and the location was perfect.

Very clean and quiet place to stay, beautiful property, a short 3 minute drive from downtown Fish Creek and away from the tourist noise! Large room with dining table and fire place. Only draw back: room is advertised and my booking receipt shows the room having 2 queen beds. They are not queen beds, they are double or full sized beds. It worked for us, but may not work for some people. It would have been nice if the business was upfront and honest saying you get full sized beds.

Our room was ready when we arrived. The breakfast was good. The room was very clean as was the hotel. The staff was very friendly. The location was just a short 5 minute drive to town so we weren't in all of the busy traffic.

The bedding was not good. No cleaning during our stay -clean towels delivered, but dirty towels not picked up. Breakfast bland, and in plastic and paper.

Wished they would of had breakfast or at least coffee ready before 7:00 AM. They did not clean our room or leave any towels for 2nd morning.

Very clean and comfortable. They have a cold breakfast available which had a lot of options. Lots of walking trails on property with a grill, pool and horseshoes. Only downside is coffee. Will stay again and recommend to others.

The property boasts that it’s a bed and breakfast but the breakfast is of poor quality continental with no hot options.

Perfect place, and everything is great. Just the breakfast it was useless. They technically offer no real breakfast, just some snacks, bread butter, and coffee, and boiled eggs from the fridge.
