I was a solo traveler on a motorcycle and very pleased with the accommodations. I will stay there again and recommend to friends.

This an old-fashioned motel. The rooms are small but the bed was firm and comfortable. The ac worked just fine. It had everything you typically get in a chain motel, minus a coffee pot in the room. There was a pot of coffee made in the lobby, though, which was kind of weak but it was hot. Best of all, everything was very clean and our hostess was super pleasant.

Firm bed with nice sheets and nice soft towels. Window AC unit cranked out the cool and smart tv. Fun friendly affordable locals bar onsite with $6 hamburgers, beers and pool table. Very clean motel. Love the little Prairie Dust bar also. It had good drinks and bar food. The air conditioner worked great, it was 100 degrees out and it kept up. We saved a lot of money stopping here and we really enjoyed our stay. Bed is very comfortable.

Walls aren't paper thin, it's quiet, good room set-up, clean and comfy beds. The bar food is decent, good place to sit and unwind after a long road trip. Fabulous people run the place! Its a refreshing oasis of country living. It was fun to connect with other fellow Americans in South Dakota.

We were traveling late and had this booked as a stay. It was about 9:30 and we still hadn’t arrived yet and the owner called us to make sure we were okay. Above and beyond! She knew she’d be in bed by the time we’d arrive so she left us clear instructions and our key waiting for us. The room Was very clean and comfortable. Not very big, but I didn’t expect it to be. The fridge worked, the bed was comfortable and the ac worked perfectly! Would definitely stay again! Can’t beat the hospitality or the price!

Barb was awesome! Thank you so much for understanding. We had to call and inform them that we were going to be there after 11pm. Barb was nice enough to leave the keys for us so we were able to check in when we got there with no issues. Everything was clean and we got a good nights sleep. Definitely would visit again and recommend it to anyone looking for a motel thats quiet, peaceful and just off the highway in a small town. Thanks again Barb! You're the best!

This is a mom and pop operation run by a couple of hard-working South Dakotans who give it their all. It’s humble but very very clean, and if you’re thirsty, there is a small bar steps from your door. Because this is family run, you should give a call before booking if you’ll arrive past about 9:30 p.m. The same folks to check you in will be up with the dawn the next morning, so they cannot accommodate late arrivals; check with them first, and be aware that they’re in the central time zone, which may be important if you’re coming from the west. My thanks for a good stay!

Love Gerry’s Motel! Always clean, well stocked with towels and a working television - unlike many nationwide chains we’ve stayed at. Prices are always reasonable and we really enjoy the personal service. I forgot a pair of earrings in the room & the manager called me to say she’d found them. Now THAT’S outstanding personal service!

We LOVED staying at Gerry's Motel - it was, by far, the best place we've stayed at on our road trip. Upon arrival, we had to call to check in, and Barb was immediately over to help us. She got us checked in and invited us over to the bar for dinner. The room was so clean and cozy - way better than any affordable motel in larger towns (and safer too!). We went over to the bar to eat - the food was great and affordable! We really enjoyed unwinding there after a day of driving. We sat out on the front steps outside of our room to watch the sunset and enjoy the beautiful prairie evening. Don't book this place if you're expecting amenities and things to do. This is purely a place to stay as you drive along I-90; but it is so much better than anything in Mitchell or larger surrounding towns. Gerrys Motel was QUIET, CLEAN, SAFE - not sure what else you could ask for! I can confidently say that we will happily stay at Gerrys Motel the next time we find ourselves driving across South Dakota.

This is my 2nd time staying here when traveling cross country the last 2 years. Such a cute place! Always so clean, right off I90, safe area, gas station next door, bar/restaurant on site, friendly owner and reasonably priced!! Also lots of parking for larger vehicles.

We had a great time at Gerry’s. The host couple were helpful and “salt of the earth” type people. Clean and convenient perfect for our last night before heading to the airport. Eat at the Prairie Dust Bar- and be sure to try the walleye fingers!!

Quaint and comfortable motel right off the highway. Barb and Todd are great hosts! Barb checked me in quickly and invited me over to the bar. My room was very clean and comfy with microwave + fridge. Went to the bar and had a nice dinner with Todd serving me there. Food was good and everyone was friendly. Would recommend and will definitely stay there again!
