The accommodation was very clean and the owner was very helpful to us. We didn’t realize it wasn’t a hotel as it is just a few rooms he rents out. The building itself was very unique and quiet though. The only downside was the street was under construction.

We never saw or met the hotel manager. It is an apartment bldg and we were left the keys in the room. The location to the Vatican was great and a close by taxi stand. I would rather have a front desk person to speak with so it was a little odd to us. Upon entry it looked marvelous until the first one in face planted from tripping on a step that wasn’t seen as the large luggage was rolled in, blocking the view. The shower looked great, but fell apart when first used. The floor was quite warped as the shower must have flooded the beautiful wood floor some time prior. There was a small wobbly desk that was really the only table that could be used with the ‘tabletop ironing board.’ Couldn’t use the little table as it didn’t come up to my knees. I was afraid to keep flopping the clothes to be ironed as there was a very fragile glass light on the corner of the small table, and the coffee set on the other side. Just wasn’t much room to iron. However, we loved the double window, its shutters, and room darkening drapes. The mini fridge kept the drinks just above Luke warm. We liked the old building and it’s feel of walking back in time. But our American ‘size’ gave us little room in the elevator, and thru the doors. The place was conceived to all our desired stops, so it balanced our likes and dislikes for this space.

The room was pretty clean. It’s a little scary going solo to the property. It’s on the 6th floor. There is a small elevator. You can hear everything in the rooms. The walls are super thin. I was very disappointed they had said there was laundry, there was not. I see they have changed this on Expedia. Also not the “full breakfast” is a coupon to a cafe down the road for a free coffee and a croissant. Also, DO NOT leave anything out. Nothing was stolen, but I put out my privacy sign and saw the owner in the hallway and said I didn’t want any housekeeping for the day. He still went in my room and turned off the air conditioner.

Very helpful host. Provided many useful, time saving and money saving tips. Very good communication and service. Only deducted some points due to the building being under exterior renovation and the room needing some updates. However, considering the location in proximity to the Vatican, good restaurants and shopping this is an excellent deal.

Me gustó en cuanto a calidad - precio. En realidad no es un hotel si no un conjunto de habitaciones en un piso. No hay recepción si no solo te dan una llave y entras y sales a tu antojo. El desayuno incluido es un vale diario de croissant dulce y bebidas frías o calientes y debes de salir del edificio a un local de comida a pedirlo. El edificio es bastante antiguo pero tiene elevador. Si buscas algo barato con una cama grande y cuarto amplio está bien para unos días en roma. Cerca de la estación de metro donde llegas fácilmente a otras áreas de interés turísticas

Liked the location Liked the tips provided by the owner Bathroom a little small (compared to US standards) Bathroom shower stall was quite small to enter and had mold that we wished was cleaned. So too under the toilet bowl. Location is excellent for access to Metro, Vatican and Taxi stand. Lovely streets close by to enjoy evening strolls.

Property is in a fantastic location for the Vatican and has beautiful restaurants nearby. The room is clean, tidy and comfy with all the needed amenities. Would definitely recommend and would stay again when in Rome.

The property was lovely and kept very clean and maintained. The location is excellent around Vatican City, with many shops, restaurants, cafes, and of course the Vatican Museum, Basilica, and Sistine Chapel all within walking distance. The host, Paolo, tended to my every need and question promptly and was so kind and helpful in every way, especially with my flight delay and a very late check-in. I highly recommend this booking for solo or couple visitors to Rome!

We recommend this! It was a simple room, very clean, good space for two people, was exactly what we needed for one night in Rome. SO close to the Vatican, extremely convenient. It was simple and it was nice! It is a good choice for wanting to be near the Vatican.

Very close to the Vatican.Very quiet Absolutely wonderful mattress!Shower was a littke small and sink was far from faucet causing it to splash some.Would definitely recommend!One tiny problem was solved immediately.

L'unica nota positiva riguarda la sua posizione. Camera normale, bagno angusto, box doccia solo per gente smilza. Manca una sala colazione. ti danno un voucher per una gelateria vicina dove ti tocca solo un cornetto e un cappuccino. Sconsigliato.

We absolutely loved this property and appreciated the communication with the owner. The view from the room window was breathtaking. The ease of walking to various restaurants and tourist attractions worked out perfectly for us! We look forward to sharing our positive experience at this guesthouse with others.

Nothing was stolen, but I put out my privacy sign and saw the owner in the hallway and said I didn’t want any housekeeping for the day. He still went in my room and turned off the air conditioner.

Very helpful host. Provided many useful, time saving and money saving tips. Very good communication and service. Only deducted some points due to the building being under exterior renovation and the room needing some updates. However, considering the location in proximity to the Vatican, good restaurants and shopping this is an excellent deal.

The property was lovely and kept very clean and maintained. The location is excellent around Vatican City, with many shops, restaurants, cafes, and of course the Vatican Museum, Basilica, and Sistine Chapel all within walking distance. The host, Paolo, tended to my every need and question promptly and was so kind and helpful in every way, especially with my flight delay and a very late check-in. I highly recommend this booking for solo or couple visitors to Rome!

First and foremost Paolo is beyond helpful. Any question I had he was quick to respond, recommended places to eat. Helpful with how to get around. The area was a skip and a hop away from Vatican, bus and train stop, lots of good places to eat and shop. Would definitely stay again.

The property indicated breakfast was provided but you had to go 4 buildings over and were only given a donut and coffee. They said laundry was there but it was 4 blocks away. When we arrived no one was on site to let us in. We called and finally after waiting outside with our luggage for 15 minutes the door was finally opened.

L'unica nota positiva riguarda la sua posizione. Camera normale, bagno angusto, box doccia solo per gente smilza. Manca una sala colazione. ti danno un voucher per una gelateria vicina dove ti tocca solo un cornetto e un cappuccino. Sconsigliato.

Me gustó en cuanto a calidad - precio. En realidad no es un hotel si no un conjunto de habitaciones en un piso. No hay recepción si no solo te dan una llave y entras y sales a tu antojo. El desayuno incluido es un vale diario de croissant dulce y bebidas frías o calientes y debes de salir del edificio a un local de comida a pedirlo. El edificio es bastante antiguo pero tiene elevador. Si buscas algo barato con una cama grande y cuarto amplio está bien para unos días en roma. Cerca de la estación de metro donde llegas fácilmente a otras áreas de interés turísticas

Localização excelente, chegamos do Brasil e fomos direto a hospedagem(que tem 4 quartos) e foi simples de chegar, pegamos o Leonardo Express (pagamos so 10 euros no guiche) e depois o metro para a Estação Ottaviano, na mesma tarde visitamos o Vaticano que fica muito próximo e jantamos na esquina em frente, tudo rápido e simples, no outro dia fomos ao catelo santo Ângelo, e depois a Firenze. Foi muito prática a hospedagem e o quarto bem agradável, limpo e novo.

Our hostess Sara was outstanding. Very attentive and communicated with us in a timely manner. I’m used to hotels and hotel rooms. This is a room with a bathroom and at first my wife and I were taking aback. But we stayed there the remainder of our seven days and everything was fine. There was only one chair in the room. We asked Sara for another and she supplied it. Our view from this room was outstanding. We stayed in the superior room. The property is across the street from the Vatican wall north east corner.
