The property seemed iffy pulling up to the check in office, but the actual room turned out be clean and quiet. The housekeeping made bed and changed towels daily. Fridge in room. No frills place mainly just to go and sleep. We felt safe.

This is a fine motel for a short stay. Recently remodeled, clean and accessible. There are zero common areas either inside or outside. It is poorly signed off of a very busy highway. Given those challenges, it is to their credit that the ranking is so positive

The property seem to be brand new. Everything in the room was absolutely spotless and comfortable. The bed was amazing. The bathroom has a wet room. So easy to get in and out of the shower. Excellent lighting. All amenities were wonderful. I would definitely go back. The exterior of the property has a fire pit in a cozy little setting of pine trees. And it's located right next to a Shell gas station which was convenient to hit the road the day that I left.

Wondering place to stay, great staff, quiet, has nice gazebo with fire pit. Just all around nice.

Our stay at The Pines Country Inn was excellent. The motel was quiet and rooms were updated and well appointed. The motel has exterior entrance doors which is different than many more modern hotels, but that did not take away from our visit at all. In fact, it made accessing the rooms and our vehicles more convenient as we went to and from the hotel. It is located slightly off the main road behind a gas station/convenience store but that was never a problem regarding noise. Being set off from the road made it more quiet, in my opinion. Outside of the rooms, there are few amenities at the hotel (no pool, for example) and there are no staff overnight, but the prices reflect that and there is an emergency number with quick response if there are any issues.

It was great the staff is the best. It is a shame thst it does not have a pool. A pool would bring in alot more people so you could expan. I recommend this to all my people and use it also for our residents as well.

Cons No elevator Fire extinguisher had a 2016 service tag

We wish there would've been an elevator! Otherwise, the hotel was clean and comfortable.

Convenient location to the Owosso Motorsports Speedway. Secure with cameras and doors that require key cards. Rooms are well kept.

Older building makes it deceiving. Room was well appointed and updated with all the necessities. Definitely fit our need and exceeded our expectation. Especially liked the enclosed two story portion of the existing walkways, made it easy and secure to go back and forth from the elements.

Overall the rooms were clean and nice to stay in, although the furnishings appeared worn. The staff were very pleasant. The square pillows were incredibly hard. Spoke to the staff about the bathroom vents and lights - they needed cleaning desperately. Was told a thorough cleaning was happening soon. The door adjoining the next room had no lock so although there was no doorknob to enter the neighboring room, if the door wasn't shut properly, someone could push into your room. (My grandson proved this by pushing into his uncle's room.) This was very disconcerting for me as I was staying alone. Overall, I would recommend this property and would stay there again.

Surprising since it’s tucked away behind a gas station on a busy commercial highway, but the rooms are beautiful and exquisitely clean. The service was friendly and effective. And the price was right!

The room was nice, clean with amenities like shampoo, conditioner and body soap. Little fridge and microwave in the room were nice and the check in/out were simple and friendly. Gas station right out front was also super convenient.

The hotel has been newly renovated and has some charming quirks but with beautiful new facilities. The bed was very comfortable with lots of pillows. The bathroom was completely new with lots of counter space. The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. Highly recommend!

We've stayed here many times when in town for family occasions. It is a family-owned, older hotel that was remodeled in 2021. It is a very clean property in a safe, convenient location with restaurants and Supercenter stores nearby. It's very convenient to our family's residences, too. The rooms do have the older, connecting doors, however, they are blocked off and can't be accessed by the adjoining room, so it is safe. The only problem is if the occupants next door are loud, you can easily hear them. We've had an issue with this a couple times. We did let management know and they addressed the issue with the occupants and it was quieter after that. Just be aware you do have to be careful not to be too loud and disturb others at the property. We will continue to stay at this property in town, as it is a nice property that's very clean and convenient.

This is a very cute and quaint hotel right off of M-21. My wife and I came to Owosso for a wedding and decided to stay here. The room was extremely clean, king bed was comfy. Pillows were a little odd, they were square, vs. your typical rectangle. They served their purpose and were very comfy. Bathroom/shower extremely clean as well. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. WiFi was great, zero complaints. If you come to Owosso, MI and need a place to stay, I recommend this motel. It is all one floor.

The Pines looks ordinary on the outside, but the rooms were spacious, comfortable and well maintained. Bed and linens were very comfortable.

The staff was very professional and attentive. We were arriving late and the receptionist called to make sure we had everything we needed when we arrived. The rooms are large and very nice.

Nice especially at the price! Clean. No contact check in available. Thin walls though. We could hear the TV next door.

Owosso has limited options for an overnight stay. We have stayed at The Comstock previously and decided to stay at The Pines this time. The rate was reasonable and the room was clean. The bed was decent, but the pillows were not great. We brought our own just in case. The one downside of the room (we stayed in the two story building) was that the curtains and blinds did not block the sun well at all. Bring a sleeping mask or you will wake up at sunrise.

It was a great stay! It was a perfect location for the wedding we were attending and close to our relatives! The restaurants were good ! There was a good selection to choose from. The only thing was there were middle-high school age kids staying there too for a sports event. They were pretty good about keeping the noise down by eleven! I would highly recommend this business and will probably stay again if we need a hotel in that area again! The staff was friendly and helpful too!

We were greeted with a smile and a genuine welcome. We appreciated the room for people with disabilities as it made my husband’s maneuvering much easier. The interior has been updated nicely and is immaculate! Although it is on the main highway, once the a/c was turned on, it damped the sounds quite well. We’ve already made a reservation for our return home.

From check in to check out, the whole stay was perfect. Customer service was superb, Stephanie went above an beyond to accommodate our families and make our stay wonderful. We will definitely go back!

Arrived at 9:04 in the dark. . Got our key from lockbox. Couldn’t find our room. No visible sign pointing to a building across the parking lot and behind the main building. After driving through the main lot, behind the motel, back on the street and back into the lot we saw a building that we wondered about. We drove to it and saw our room number. Entered the hallway and the smell was awful. If it hadn’t been for a sick spouse we may have left. Entered our room which was fine. Clean. The next morning around 9:30 we went to check out and although the sign said they were there at 8 we saw nobody. It was strange! Oh, and it is certainly not in the country!

The check in person was so nice and stayed late for us to be able to check in personally.

I was truly impressed with this hotel.i didn't know the office closed at 9pm the clerk reached out to me and was able to get me the keys after hours. Very wonderfulIto talk to. The hospitality, the pricing and just over all the quality of the room itself. Definitely will visit again in the future. The only complaint I have is that there should be more branches and to expand. Very satisfied

Wonderful surprise finding this quiet, well maintained, clean, safe Motel. Location is a challenge but the advantages outweigh this negative.

I travel a lot and stay in a lot of hotels & it isn’t often that I’m taken aback or feel the need to leave a review. Enter Pines Motel. What a pleasant surprise this property turned out to be!! All the Schitt’s Creek vibes! This drive up motel is nestled behind a gas station with a small sign it would be easy to just drive right by without even noticing this little hidden gem. (The gas station is a full, very clean store with some hot food options & really decent coffee) In the office for check in I was greeted by smiling staff member, Grace, who was super friendly & extremely helpful. (office closes at 6pm so if you need ice do so before then). Once in the room (2 dbls) did my usual “inspection” to check for cleanliness & make sure I’m staying lol. I was blown away! Not a single crumb or hair to be found anywhere! This room & bathroom were cleaner than $600/nt Toronto hotels I’ve stayed in. Microwv & fridge also impeccable. The room is exactly as you see in the photos - another pleasant surprise lol Ample space to move about the room & everything you would need for unpacking (drawers and hangers) Beds were comfy and the bthrm has tons of counter space & good lighting. I don’t recall seeing an iron or ironing board so perhaps inquire if this is something you think you might need during your stay. My ONLY complaint might be the TV channel selection & reception. Will definitely be back for future Owosso stays!

Satisfactory. Need to provide more amenities such as hand lotion. Overall, the room appeared clean & well-maintained. The cleaning staff was friendly & provided clean towels & coffee for next morning as requested.
