This hotel is located right at the main gate to the pedestrian zone. The location is perfect. Easy access to everything the town has to offer. Parking is less than a block away. The room was spacious. Only drawback, the room was on the top floor with no elevator & no one to help with luggage upon arrival or departure. Understanding that it’s in a historic building, but an option of an on-site helper would have been appreciated.

Overall this property was excellent! The room and bathroom were clean and huge. Very high ceilings made it feel quite spacious. If you are driving, pay attention to the parking situation. You have to park at P1 and then walk, but it’s not far. The upside is that you’re staying right on the edge of town.

Valentina brinda un servicio excepcional, estuvimos en fechas complicadas por feriados y ella nos ayudó a reservar para cenas y comidas, evitando así tener inconvenientes. Su desayuno incluído es en una cafeteria que pertenece a su grupo y es bueno, sin mencionar que su pan es DELICIOSO. Se encuentra exactamente pasando el arco de piedra que da entrada al centro de Montepulciano, por lo que la ubicación también es excelente. El único pero que le pondría, pero no es algo que me impediría volver, es que no cuentan con elevador y sus escaleras son pesadas de subir y más con maletas. Pero si eres una persona con algunas limitantes físicas o de edad avanzada, tal vez esto si pueda ser alto que quieras tener en consideración.

Last min booking and what a great find. The first property through the arch at Car Park 1. Lovely old building. 6 rooms available, ours was room 6 top floor, just stairs and quite tight at the top. Great views across the countryside. Couldn't have been better, will definitely use again.

This is a great property in wonderful location just inside the city walls. One thing, we didn’t realize there was no elevator and upon check in discovered we were on the third floor. A lovely room but a little much for two seniors and four bags. A quick text message to the staff and we were moved down a floor. Very much appreciated! Very generous space in this medieval property. We really enjoyed our stay.

Our room had a nice little balcony with a great view of the Tuscan hillside. Although this hotel is inside the walled city parking is OK just outside the wall and a short walk. Most of the time there are no office staff here. So your keys may be left in an envelope at reception.

We reserved a room for 3 people and basically got a 2 bedroom unit for a very reasonable price. Beds were comfortable. Unit was clean. Location was great - beautiful view from the balcony over the countryside and was right in the center of the city so easy walking to restaurants and shopping. Parking was a bit of a hassle but I eventually found some. Included breakfast from a cafe on the street that was delightful.

The room was absolutely charming and roomy with stunning views. Our room was on the 5th floor and there is no elevator so we got our exercise! It’s in the historic City center and the location was wonderful. We could walk to everything and the medieval town is just lovely and filled with interesting sites, views, wine cellars, and nice restaurants. There was no air conditioning and it was a bit stuffy at night, but we opened the windows for fresh air. The breakfast (included) was excellent. If you arrive by bus, make sure you have transportation lined up at the bus station in advance or have the ability to call a taxi. There is a tunnel with an elevator up to town nearby, but none of that is obvious and it may be difficult with luggage. Also, taxis are very expensive in Montepulciano. Be sure to confirm the price with the driver up front and be sure to have some cash. Valentina greeted us and helped us with some logistics. She was very friendly and helpful, but the reception area is not always staffed so be sure to get check-in instructions in advance. If you don’t mind climbing stairs I highly recommend Palazzo Mosela Alla Porta!

We had no interactions with any staff other than to get parking information via WhatsApp. The rooms are old (it was a palazzo after all!) but well-kept. We only stayed one night but it was comfortable and wonderful to be right in the center of town.

Thishotel is in a fantastic location; it is situated just inside the old gates to the city. And despite being over 500 years old, the room had everything needed for a comfortable stay. My room was huge and overlooked the main road but was still pretty quiet.

Lovely location, good comms, great rooms (4 and 5). 4 had a particularly good view and sitting area. Osteria over the street excellent, as was the Enoteca. Both owned by the hotel

This property was lovely and rustic. Each outwardly facing window offer a spectacular view, and the rooms are spacious and clean.There's no elevator, so be prepared to carry your bags up a few flights of uneven stairs.Be careful around some of the furniture though, as some pieces are wobbly, and not too stable.

We saw the most amazing sunset from our 4th floor room and the hotel staff helped us get a Taxi from Pienza to the hotel in a pinch. Loved every second of our visit here!

2 couples had rooms 3 & 4. We stayed in Oct from Tues-Friday. This Hotel is convenient, Ludo was responsive, the room is large, had good air conditioning and shower had great pressure. This hotel is affiliated with a couple restaurants and enotecas. The good news is that they were amazing. The Porto di Bacco enoteca is directly across the street and has amazing wine expert. They are also a restaurant. We are at Antica di Trattoria Marzocco which was also delish. (Need reservations) the free breakfast is up the street at Pilazzo Avignonesi. They open before 8 and the service is exceptional. Selection of pastries was extensive If I had to pick this hotel apart it will be because 1) the mattress pad is vinyl which made it hotter than necessary and 2) the hairdryer for long hair is small and cheap. A few $’s from the owners could solve these issues easily. These is no elevator. But the town itself doesn’t either. The hotel is on the street. We are heavy sleepers so the nighttime dinner crowd did not bother us. I had no problem getting to sleep. Room 4 has a nice sitting area and if you open the windows you’ll get a cross breeze. Overall, this place was inexpensive and perfect for us.

They open before 8 and the service is exceptional. Selection of pastries was extensive If I had to pick this hotel apart it will be because 1) the mattress pad is vinyl which made it hotter than necessary and 2) the hairdryer for long hair is small and cheap. A few $’s from the owners could solve these issues easily. These is no elevator. But the town itself doesn’t either. The hotel is on the street. We are heavy sleepers so the nighttime dinner crowd did not bother us. I had no problem getting to sleep. Room 4 has a nice sitting area and if you open the windows you’ll get a cross breeze. Overall, this place was inexpensive and perfect for us.

Palazzo Mosela Alla Porta was a lovely, cosy accommodation for my stay in Montepulciano. The room was delightful, characterful, comfortable, and within walking distance of everything in Montepulciano. Being at the entrance to the town it’s easy to find. But the outstanding element is the service. Valentina and the staff were quick to engage with me via WhatsApp and went to great lengths to make sure I had a great experience. Valentina was wonderfully friendly and helped reserve great restaurants and suggested wonderful cellars to visit. The level of support and hospitality here makes this accommodation really outstanding.

This is a great property in wonderful location just inside the city walls. One thing, we didn’t realize there was no elevator and upon check in discovered we were on the third floor. A lovely room but a little much for two seniors and four bags. A quick text message to the staff and we were moved down a floor. Very much appreciated! Very generous space in this medieval property. We really enjoyed our stay.

A beautiful old hotel where we had a spacious comfortable room. Valentina was very helpful to us as a source of information, booking taxis, and recommending restaurants. Montepulciano was the most beautiful of all the various towns/cities we visited during our 2 week trip to Italy.

It was very difficult to find. It would’ve been helpful to have instructions on the parking situation. The room smells very strongly of a heavy perfume. It was almost unbearable. Was very cold the heater did not work, and there was nobody to help. We had somebody from a nearby restaurant actually follow us to the hotel room to try to figure out the heater, unsuccessfully. Staff is only there for short period in the morning. Ludo when he was, there was friendly and helpful

The room was spacious. Only drawback, the room was on the top floor with no elevator & no one to help with luggage upon arrival or departure. Thishotel is in a fantastic location; it is situated just inside the old gates to the city. And despite being over 500 years old, the room had everything needed for a comfortable stay. My room was huge and overlooked the main road but was still pretty quiet.

Overall this property was excellent! The room and bathroom were clean and huge. Very high ceilings made it feel quite spacious. If you are driving, pay attention to the parking situation. You have to park at P1 and then walk, but it’s not far. The upside is that you’re staying right on the edge of town.

Last min booking and what a great find. The first property through the arch at Car Park 1. Lovely old building. 6 rooms available, ours was room 6 top floor, just stairs and quite tight at the top. Great views across the countryside. Couldn't have been better, will definitely use again.

We reserved a room for 3 people and basically got a 2 bedroom unit for a very reasonable price. Beds were comfortable. Unit was clean. Location was great - beautiful view from the balcony over the countryside and was right in the center of the city so easy walking to restaurants and shopping. Parking was a bit of a hassle but I eventually found some. Included breakfast from a cafe on the street that was delightful.

The hotel has a great location however we had a bad experience getting to the hotel and there wasn’t anyone there to greet us. We had to look in automated emails from the hotel for instructions telling us that the girl that works there was at a different restaurant etc etc I wish they at least had a note at the hotel letting guests know about that I’m English because it is a very touristic area and we do not speak Italian. They give you a coupon for breakfast at some other restaurant that we could t use because they weren’t opened yet. Besides that the location si great and we were lucky enough to find parking about two blocks from the hotel for 10€ x day

Valentina brinda un servicio excepcional, estuvimos en fechas complicadas por feriados y ella nos ayudó a reservar para cenas y comidas, evitando así tener inconvenientes. Su desayuno incluído es en una cafeteria que pertenece a su grupo y es bueno, sin mencionar que su pan es DELICIOSO. Se encuentra exactamente pasando el arco de piedra que da entrada al centro de Montepulciano, por lo que la ubicación también es excelente. El único pero que le pondría, pero no es algo que me impediría volver, es que no cuentan con elevador y sus escaleras son pesadas de subir y más con maletas. Pero si eres una persona con algunas limitantes físicas o de edad avanzada, tal vez esto si pueda ser alto que quieras tener en consideración.

La struttura si trova proprio sul corso ed è comodissimo al parcheggio P1. Il personale è gentile e disponibile. Le camere non sono adeguate al costo in termini di arredo. La colazione viene servita in un bar fuori della struttura e questa specie in inverno non è accettabile specie se viene classificata ma struttura come 4 stelle. La colazione è composta solo da una bevanda calda, una bio che ed un succo. In una località ricca di cultura culinaria come Montepulciano si potrebbe fare ben altro. Peccato con alcuni cambiamenti il livello dei srvizi sarebbe ben diverso.

The room was absolutely charming and roomy with stunning views. Our room was on the 5th floor and there is no elevator so we got our exercise! It’s in the historic City center and the location was wonderful. We could walk to everything and the medieval town is just lovely and filled with interesting sites, views, wine cellars, and nice restaurants. There was no air conditioning and it was a bit stuffy at night, but we opened the windows for fresh air. The breakfast (included) was excellent. If you arrive by bus, make sure you have transportation lined up at the bus station in advance or have the ability to call a taxi. There is a tunnel with an elevator up to town nearby, but none of that is obvious and it may be difficult with luggage. Also, taxis are very expensive in Montepulciano. Be sure to confirm the price with the driver up front and be sure to have some cash. Valentina greeted us and helped us with some logistics. She was very friendly and helpful, but the reception area is not always staffed so be sure to get check-in instructions in advance. If you don’t mind climbing stairs I highly recommend Palazzo Mosela Alla Porta!
