We stayed here for 3 nights in order to visit Pompei and Herculaneum. The small resort of around 18 rooms is an oasis in the town. Staff were great and very helpful. The rooms were clean and well appointed. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful choice. We were able to eat outside in a large garden area under lemon trees. The hotel grounds are well tended and the swimming pool under the watchful eye of Vesivius is a superb addition to the property. We ate each night at the Winery restaurant (in the grounds) and again this is beautifully decorated and maintained. Service was excellent and the food and wine were the best we had during our whole two week tour of Italy. Food was good value for the portion size and quality and presentation of the meals. All in all we could not fault Bosco De Medici.

This was a fantastic find - truly wonderful location with Vesuvius in the background and amazing grounds of the winery. Arriving is down a fairly innocuous street then you enter the gated grounds and suddenly you relax as you enter the calm of the estate. The rooms are all located around a garden/orchard - which was a beautiful place to eat breakfast or just enjoy some peace. The room was excellent - the breakfast superb and the staff were super friendly and helpful. Made you feel very special. The location is perfect for a walk to Pompei and/or to the station if you want to travel further. Parking is super easy. We also made use of the restaurant, the food was really good, with an emphasis on using their own produce. After a long day at Pompei it's just what you need at the end. Of course the wine is also their own and that was exceedingly good! We didn't have time to enjoy the pool or do a wine tasting and I regret that. The pool looked incredibly inviting - and with the backdrop of Vesuvius in the background made quite a statement. Would highly recommend this and wish I had stayed longer!

Beautiful property at the base of Mt Vesuvius with the hotel, restaurant/winery, horses, and pool. The entire staff was wonderful but Antonio is the secret sauce, he gave us fantastic food recommendations, called ahead for tables to be ready for us, booked us a private tour of Pompeii with a great guide, and set up transfer to hike Mt. Vesuvius, including pre purchasing all tickets for us to skip the lines. Friendly, clean, wonderful property for our family.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at this resort. It was clean, beautifully taken care of, the staff were so attentive, and the food was excellent! Our young kids had a great time in the pool, visiting the animals, and taking a horseback riding lesson. Would highly recommend

An extremely clean and like an upscale “motel” surrounded by vineyards and olive groves. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Nice wine tasting and really top notch dinner. Unforgetable grilled filet. 5 minutes to Pompei entrance. 30 minutes to Herculaneum.

Love this place. It was a bit cool and rainy for the pool so we did not partake, but we were looking for R & R and this place was perfect. We had our own individual oasis, and plentiful parking with an electric charging station were uber appreciated. The restaurant was amazing for dinner, and next time we’ll do one of the wine lunches. Show up in about 2 weeks and you can literally pick fresh citrus off the trees!

Virkelig lækkert hotel i gåafstand til Pompeji. Lækre, store værelser, dejligt badeværelse, smukt og vedligeholdt på hele hotellet. Poolen er lækker, ren og fin. Hotellet har en fantastisk restaurant, hvor man bør booke en vinsmagningsmenu, det var en dejlig oplevelse. Gennemgående for hotel og restaurant er personalet smilende, venligt og søde. Vi kan klart anbefale dette dejlige sted.

The entire property stands out. The food and the wine are excellent. We adored the assistance we got from top notch staff: Franz, Tonya, Marco and Alessandro—incomparable welcome and service. The horse stables were a treat. We swam twice in the cool pool and loved it. Kudos, friends!

Great place!! Nice pool area. Restaurant and Wine tasting is amazing! Beds and linens were amazing! Very clean. Staff was very helpful. Breakfast had lots of healthy options. Be sure to have a glass of wine at the pool!

My family of 4 stayed here for one night while visiting Pompeii and it was wonderful! I was concerned that the pics were too good to be true but it was very nice, clean, quiet and modern. The pool with the view of Vesuvius was magnificent. Dinner at the winery was very nice and the wines were fantastic. Breakfast was good and the staff was very kind. Would love to return one day.

I'd have given this place 5 stars but for the fact we were given one room key to share between 3 people which proved restrictive. We asked twice (2 separate days) if any additional keys were available and told no, they had run out. Pool area was spotless, the views were magnificent, just a bit of juggling needed owing to the single room key situation.

Located approximately 20 mins walk from the Pompeii site (40 mins walk from the Scavi train station). Great for us as we love walking places. Set in a vineyard the accommodation was clean and spacious. We wanted twin beds and although one was a sofa bed, both were double (a bonus for a twin room) and the sofa had a great mattress. We didn't go to the restaurant so can't comment on that but some lovely places to eat in the town. Much quieter than Sorrento but only 40 mins by train and a good base for visiting the area if you don't mind public transport and a bit of travel.

Food and wine is very good indeed. The hotel has its own winery and farm. Pool is excellent. Rooms are clean and spacious. Staff are friendly, helpful and kind. Archeological park at Pompeii is a 15 min walk Herculaneum is a 1/2 hour taxi ride

We arrived mid-evening and the wine tasting was no longer available according to the staff at the front desk. The facilities were very clean however, they were very simple as well, almost a commercial feel with the cinder block walls. The HVAC was unruly and only worked sporadically leaving a warm room with high humidity. The distance to the town was acceptable as long as you brought your own vehicle. The grounds were well kept but, it sure would have been nice to enjoy a glass of wine after a long day in the sun. The be fair, the room was clean and the bathroom was spotless. I was left desiring more though.

Abbiamo passato un ottimo weekend in famiglia. Ho prenotato due quadruple in quanto viaggiavo con 4 figli ed i nonni. Il personale è stato gentilissimo in tutto; centro, santuario e scavi sono raggiungibili anche a piedi. Le stanze spaziose e pulite, e la colazione a buffet in linea con quanto ci si può aspettare in questo tipo di struttura. Non posso trovare nulla di negativo.

I am sad that we only stayed here one night. What a beautiful property with wonderful staff. Very nice breakfast included and a spectacular pool. Our room was clean with comfortable beds. We were able to leave our luggage while we toured prior to our room being ready as we arrived very early. Would highly recommend.

This hotel was great. Incredibly friendly, helpful and attentive staff. The resort is a little way out of Pompei town centre; around a 15 minute walk, but this means it’s very quiet and relaxing. The rooms have all the amenities you need, with plenty of space and good air conditioning. All the rooms are next to the reception building and bar, and staff are happy to bring drinks over to your room for you. The pool area offers a fantastic view of Vesuvius, however it may have been even better if the rooms faced the volcano, as while the rooms’ patios/gardens are good, there could be better attempts to make them totally private, as you can see through into the gardens either side, and don’t offer a great view. Generally though, this is a great place to stay and is perfect for visiting the Pompeii ruins and has good train connections to Naples and to the coast to Herculaneum and Sorrento.

Stunnibg grounds with beautiful view to Mount Vesuvius from the pool area. The privacy screenings for each room with courtyard was beautiful.

I stayed in a suite with a jacuzzi (which I didn’t end up using). It was comfortable and clean. My only complaint is that there was no place to put my things in the bath since there was only a sink and no shelves or cabinets around. But the warm towel racks were great!

God restaurant på hotellet med god sommelier. God, stor, ren udendørs pool i dejlige omgivelser. Rigtig god service, særligt fra Franz! Værelset kunne godt have været mere komfortabelt - herunder sengens kvalitet. Der måtte gerne have været flere vinduer. Lydisoleringen var dårlig. Der var desværre en politik om, at man gerne måtte ryge udendørs, hvilket betød, at man ikke kunne holde ud at sidde udendørs, når naboen røg cigarer.

Great place!! Nice pool area. Restaurant and Wine tasting is amazing! Beds and linens were amazing! Very clean. Staff was very helpful. Breakfast had lots of healthy options. Be sure to have a glass of wine at the pool!

We were excited about this stay at BDM but unfortunately it was not what we thought it would be. Highlights: The staff is accommodating and helped us schedule a tour with Alex to visit the ruins ( this tour was the highlight of our trip in Pompeii - if you get a chance book with Alex, he will not disappoint). The staff also scheduled our transfer back to Naples. The suite overlooking the winery is beautiful. Negatives: Our visit at the winery could have been a more organized and inclusive stay. It would have been nice to schedule a winery tour, tasting and dinner when we checked in. We had to seek all of that out. The bed in the suite was SO uncomfortable - the mattress was sagging and the springs were easy to feel against my bones. My husband and I had to put an extra pillow between ourself and the mattress which made for a poor nights sleep. Also, the gate is noisy at night. There is a gate attached to the suite i think this is where the staff goes in and out in the evening. With some improvements, this would be a great place to stay while visiting Pompeii. A mattress upgrade is a must, I cannot stress this enough.

Super helpful staff. They arranged an excellent private tour of the Pompeii ruins. Service and food around the pool was superb. Pool itself was brilliant but some bigger parasols might be a good idea when the sun is at its strongest but this is minor. Room was comfortable and clean with good air con. Parking is free and the walk to the town centre is flat and easy in 15 mins.

The property was great but what made the whole experience fantastic was the staff. So unbelievably friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. I am sad to say I didn’t get their names but the two who were there when we arrived on Monday were exceptional and should be commended for their excellent customer service.

This was a surprising gem! Decided to tour Pompeii on our last day so we left Positano and opted to sleep closer to Naples airport and we couldn’t have found a better last day in Italy! This Resort made you feel like you were in an oasis! Everything was top notch! Safe, clean, beautiful, delicious food and wine! Car service met us at 3:30am for our early morning flight seamlessly! Thank you to the wonderful staff at the hotel and winery/restaurant!! Grazie mille!!!

All the staff are amazing here. The attached restaurant is superb, all set in lovely grounds. We used our stay as a hub to visit Pompeii which worked well for us, it's quite a walk but the reception staff helped guide us to the best entrance. They also gave great restaurant recommendations

This was our first time staying at Bosco di Medici and we loved it. The staff were welcoming, helpful, and friendly. The grounds are beautiful and our room was great. The breakfast was delicious and had so many options (the orange, lemon, and carrot juice was my favorite). They have their winery on site where you can have lunch or dinner. The food and service at the restaurant is top notch too. We also did their winery tour plus lunch package and couldn’t be happier. Then we loved the wine so much we bought two cases to send home. Highly recommend staying here.

This hotel was great. Incredibly friendly, helpful and attentive staff. The resort is a little way out of Pompei town centre; around a 15 minute walk, but this means it’s very quiet and relaxing. The rooms have all the amenities you need, with plenty of space and good air conditioning. All the rooms are next to the reception building and bar, and staff are happy to bring drinks over to your room for you. The pool area offers a fantastic view of Vesuvius, however it may have been even better if the rooms faced the volcano, as while the rooms’ patios/gardens are good, there could be better attempts to make them totally private, as you can see through into the gardens either side, and don’t offer a great view. Generally though, this is a great place to stay and is perfect for visiting the Pompeii ruins and has good train connections to Naples and to the coast to Herculaneum and Sorrento.

The rooms were clean and well appointed. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful choice. We were able to eat outside in a large garden area under lemon trees. The hotel grounds are well tended and the swimming pool under the watchful eye of Vesivius is a superb addition to the property. We ate each night at the Winery restaurant (in the grounds) and again this is beautifully decorated and maintained. Service was excellent and the food and wine were the best we had during our whole two week tour of Italy. Food was good value for the portion size and quality and presentation of the meals. All in all we could not fault Bosco De Medici.

The swimming pool is beautiful & the grounds around the pool is very picturesque We ate at the winery restaurant which was of a high standard, however we were surprised to be served coffee in a plastic cup, which was not in keeping with the rest of the meal.

Beautiful view. Great staff! The wine tasting lunch we did was amazing, even shipped some bottles home came within a week when they said three weeks! Great all around. We walked to Pompeii about 25 to 30 minutes away. right outside gate of winery seemed a little sketchy always walked fast through there but nothing to complain about. Would definitely recommend.

We only spent 1 night but it was fabulous. It’s very close to Pompeii, Driving to the resort was a little sketchy, but once inside it’s beautiful. The resort is a winery and farm. The wines are excellent, dinner was excellent, everything about this resort was excellent. I highly recommend if you are only coming to visit Pompeii.

Quiet, off the beaten path but accessible. Beautiful pool area, winery, wonderful staff! Wine was better than the food we had for dinner, but worth the stay and convenient. Breakfast was good. Would recommend if you enjoy quiet, not in the middle of high tourist area, easy to get to Pompeii. Would stay again!

A really special place to stay. Driving to it i was a little anxious as a bit of the area driving through appeared to be run down. But when we arrived through the gates we were simply in our little paradise. Excellent service, facilities and food. The views and the pool were simply the best. I will be returning and would recommend to everyone. We felt very lucky to find it and could not have been treated and looked after better. It is a small complex so not to many people either, which is exactly what we wanted after a day trekking up mountains and round pompei.

It was a lovely stay that felt tucked away from the hustle and bustle and grit of the city. The pool was relaxing. The rooms were cozy and private. Housekeeping was great. Breakfast had a good variety. All the staff were very helpful with taxis, recommendations, and questions ( and very patient with my poor Italian which I gave up for English lol). We’d definitely stay again and spend more time at winery, restaurant, pool, and horseback riding.
