The hotel is older and in need of upgrades both inside and out However everything was clean and orderly We had a great corner room with huge views from two windows with no overlooking The food was traditional Japanese done to perfection really a beautiful dinner and breakfast so wonderful to try so many new things A fun experience high up in the surrounding hills

I became very aware of my American biases based on my first impression. But I quickly found out what a beautiful authentically Japanese experience this was. It’s hard to get there, but if you find the right bus line, you can get from Fukuyama station all the way up to the national park. The property is older and a bit dated, but it just feels historical to me.

Had a great stay for the night. Dinner and breakfast were awesome! We were fortunate to see the beautiful sunset upon arrival from our room. Strongly recommended to book the room with both sunset and sunrise view. Would recommend anyone who self drive to checkout this place.
