Buyer beware!! Our first stay at Hotel Villa Fanny in November 2023 was great. 5 stars so we came back for our Saturday, February 8th 2025 anniversary. Villa Fanny had rented their banquet room for a birthday party with loud sound system. It’s only a 2 story hotel with basement banquet, eating area, and bar in the basement floor. We listened to BOOM, BOOM, BOOM through the evening. My wife had enough when after midnight the BOOM, BOOM, BOOM, kept going!! She called the desk and told the night clerk to do something. I requested a partial refund for the one night, our wedding anniversary, from the day manager on check out day. My request was denied. We only saw one other couple staying at the out of season hotel. Villa Fanny showed no desire to reciprocate us as actual guest. The rented party goer’s were their priority. We spent 24 travel hours to arrive in Cagliari, Sardinia from Dallas, TX. Money, not serving their few guests, was their priority. We consider ourselves taken advantage of. Be warned to ask if the hotel has rented their “ banquet room for a party of locals! We were in Cagliari for just a couple of days and wanted a hotel where we could walk into the city center, but also one that was quiet. Bingo. The property is beautiful and includes a nice outside area where you can eat or just relax. Rooms are well designed. Staff was helpful. Parking is where you can find it, but staff helped us get a nearby spot.

Loved our stay at Villa Fanny. The room was spacious and clean and a very comfortable bed. The garden space and bar were delightful!! Aperitvo and I used the garden for a workout during my stay. A lush place to relax. The buffet breakfast was next level!! Absolutely delicious. While no parking at property it was east to get street parking. Staff were very helpful booking tours and recommending great restaurants and helping us to make a reservation. We only had 2 nights and wish it was longer.

This is a very elegant hotel with a beautiful courtyard. It is in a quiet area but close enough to walk into the center of town and benefit from numerous restaurants and pedestrian streets. The hotel had a lot of character and was beautifully decorated. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was excellent. Would definitely recommend!

Staff was very helpful, breakfast excellent. The hotel hosted a party on in a room adjacent to our room and allowed it to go on until after 11:00PM. We rec'd no warning and had to encourage them to shut the party down more than once.

Es un hotel pequeño, singular, precioso y que está construido sobre un edificio antiguo. La atención fue fantástica. Tiene un jardín pequeño pero maravilloso (sobre todo en verano para desayunar). Cuenta con algunas salas o espacios para poder tomar algo con cierta privacidad. Nuestra habitación excelente. No tiene piscina, pero creo que lo han forzado para mantener un poco más de tranquilidad en las instalaciones. Desde luego que muy, muy recomendable.

It’s not the Ritz Carlton, but it’s close. Reading all the fabulous reviews we were pleasantly surprised that even the best were not quite up What you get when you arrive. The rooms were large and an immaculate clean and everything was top-notch. Breakfast in the morning is great bar in the evening one of the best in town. 10 minute walk to great restaurants and people areas or short taxi ride to the old town. Can’t say enough about this place.

bellissima struttura, ristrutturata e arredata con gusto, camera deluxe spaziosa e fantastica sensazione di pulizia in tutti gli ambienti. Si tratta di un vecchio convento che conserva il suo fascino anche alla luce di una ristrutturazione attenta ai dettagli (fantastici i libricini antichi poggiati sul tavolino della camera). A due passi a piedi dal centro, nessuna difficoltà a trovare parcheggio nei dintorni. Piccolo neo: mancanza di ristorante interno alla struttura (anche se diventa un problema relativo data la vicinanza a davvero tanti ristoranti). L'unica cosa forse non all'altezza del resto, la colazione, comunque abbastanza varia ma non all'altezza del livello eccezionale della struttura.

This was an unforgettable stay. Sometimes you read great reviews and question if the property will line up to your expectations, this certainly did and more. The staff had great recommendations, the room was open with lots of light, great AC for peak summer heat, large variety breakfast, daily room cleaning and more. First stop of our trip in Italy this summer and already think this will be our best stay of the vacation. For great restaurants and activities, Marco has you covered! With love from Canada.

Wir hatten die Suite über 2 Etagen mit der (abenteuerlichen, da fast ohne Handlauf) Wendeltreppe. 5 Minuten zu Fuß zur großen Einkaufsstraße. 10 Minuten zu Fuß ins Hafenviertel mit vielen Restaurants. Frühstück nicht opulent, aber alles da was man braucht.

I requested a partial refund for the one night, our wedding anniversary, from the day manager on check out day. My request was denied. We only saw one other couple staying at the out of season hotel. Villa Fanny showed no desire to reciprocate us as actual guest. The rented party goer’s were their priority. We spent 24 travel hours to arrive in Cagliari, Sardinia from Dallas, TX. Money, not serving their few guests, was their priority. We consider ourselves taken advantage of. Be warned to ask if the hotel has rented their “ banquet room for a party of locals! Our stay was excellent from start to finish. We were greeted with such a warm welcome, and throughout the visit the hospitality was thoughtful and attentive. Nothing was too much to ask, which made the whole experience easy and enjoyable.

Hotel was fabulous and very one off design, we were in the Fanny suite which was on 2 levels. The ground floor had a mood shower/ steam room that we could not get to work and had no time to be calling reception to get it working- but bed was comfortable upstairs- ground floor was a small double sofa bed which took up much of the space when opened up . We deducted a star as the breakfast staff were late and there were 4 tables of guests waiting for breakfast but nobody to take orders for drinks which was u fortunate as we had a midmorning flight and needed to get away - maybe removing the room charge from the bill would have been a nice touch as a gesture to resolve this ? Still would return but would book different room

The room was beautiful, and the breakfast was delicious. But what really stood out was the wonderful helpfulness of the staff. We had a problem with our flight from Cagliari to Rome, and the staff helped us solve it. Thank you, Villa Fanny!

Amazing stay, rooms were a great size and the bed was very comfortable. Location is great for exploring the city. Staff were all extremely friends and accommodating, I will highly recommend to anyone looking to spends a long or short stay in Cagliari!

Absolutely gorgeous experience. Posh and chic hotel which is elegantly decorated and well located near town centre. I had a perfect stay on a very comfortable bed in a quiet room. Breakfast buffet is simple and nutritious. Staff are highly professional, I appreciate the excellent service from Simone and Federica at the reception, and Alberto at the restaurant who recommended me a nice dessert wine to pair with the ham and cheese platter. Everything is perfect and makes me want to come back again. Would recommend to all.

We were in Cagliari for just a couple of days and wanted a hotel where we could walk into the city center, but also one that was quiet. Bingo. The property is beautiful and includes a nice outside area where you can eat or just relax. Rooms are well designed. Staff was helpful. Parking is where you can find it, but staff helped us get a nearby spot.

This is a very elegant hotel with a beautiful courtyard. It is in a quiet area but close enough to walk into the center of town and benefit from numerous restaurants and pedestrian streets. A very quiet oasis away from the traffic and noise of Cagliari but within easy walking distance of all the shops and restaurants. The room was large and well equipped with a very comfortable bed. Staff are very welcoming and efficient. The hotel does not offer any meals apart from a continental breakfast.

Loved our stay at Villa Fanny. The room was spacious and clean and a very comfortable bed. The garden space and bar were delightful!! Aperitvo and I used the garden for a workout during my stay. A lush place to relax. The buffet breakfast was next level!! Absolutely delicious. While no parking at property it was east to get street parking. Staff were very helpful booking tours and recommending great restaurants and helping us to make a reservation. We only had 2 nights and wish it was longer.

Wonderful staff who went the extra mile to ensure we had everything we wanted. Super location for the main attractions with free on street parking readily available. Wide choice of food at breakfast. Beautiful hotel with excellent service. Easy walking distance to town and main sights and attractions. The only tricky thing is the parking, however we quickly figured out to drive home via the roman amphitheater and that always got us a spot by the botanic garden wall less than a block from the hotel.

Booked VIP suite solely for the private sauna. It can only be operated via touchscreen mounted on the wall, which was not working properly. On a 3 day stay, maintenance and hotel staff members were in our room for two of those days trying to repair it, but ultimately were unsuccessful. We never used the sauna. Aside from that, staff is very friendly and helpful, and the property is very clean and beautiful. Without the sauna issue, I would definitely rate it 5 stars.
