Hotel was very run down, the room didn't feel very clean. When going in and out of the hotel the staff don't greet you. At the bar it takes over 15 minutes for them to acknowledge you. The only friendly staff were some of the cleaners who greeted you when you walked past. We stayed for 4 nights and 2 of those nights we couldn't use the roof terrace as they had private parties. There is loud music playing all night until around 2am coming from the front of the hotel every day. The beds are very uncomfortable they wobble even if you just lean on it. We had breakfast included in our stay however the food and layout of it looked extremely unappetising. After researching about the hotel and everywhere saying that you get free entry to the museu. That is infact not true and you do have to pay. Overall very disappointed in this hotel. Considering that all other cr7 hotels look beautiful and well looked after. And the one that is in Ronaldo's home is the worst of them all. Unfortunately its the worse hotel i have ever stayed in.

Das Pestana CR7 war die ideale Unterkunft für uns; zentral am Hafen gelegen, tolles, modernes Hotel mit Pool und Tiefgarage. Das Personal war sehr freundlich, zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Vielen Dank auch für die guten Tipps, die wir bekommen haben. Das Frühstücksbuffett war vielseitig und lecker. Ein wunderschöner Urlaub mit vielen schönen Eindrücken von dieser tollen Insel.
Das Pestana CR7 war die ideale Unterkunft für uns; zentral am Hafen gelegen, tolles, modernes Hotel mit Pool und Tiefgarage. Das Personal war sehr freundlich, zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. The hotel was great. Good location. Clean rooms. However, the hotel is right on the harbor where the cruise ships come in. There was a lot of loud horns at night and in the morning. Also, the hotel had a DJ on the pool deck Saturday night when we stayed. The bass thumped in our room till 2:30 AM. Then people continue to party until approximately 5 AM. We didn’t get a wink of sleep that night. When we brought this up to the front desk staff, she dismissed it. There was no apologies or any concern for the inconvenience . Would not stay here again

Superb hospitality with one of the best I have seen in Europe, pleasant and friendly staff. The location of the hotel is not only at walking distance to all major sightseeing in Funchal, but also have tour operator options nearby and within the hotel itself. The central location makes it quite easy and convenient to commute with the public transport nearby. The rooms are also spacious with perfect Ocean view to grace your vacation everyday. The breakfast had a wide variety of food selection with also a possibility for customized preference. The hotel also had an option to get a breakfast package incase someone would like to leave early in morning for sightseeing. The area is also very safe to roam around and go for walks around after sunset.

Hotel has a style , location is amazing , but be ready to "fight" the cruise ship crowds , it's never ending . I actually enjoyed the city view with a grassy balcony vs facing the cruise ship balconies of the "sea view" . Breakfast was plentiful, service was amazing. Tout d'abord, les points positifs : 1) Le petit-déjeuner offre un excellent choix au buffet et un service à la commande. Les omelettes sont excellentes ! 2) L'accueil et la gentillesse du personnel. 3) La vue depuis la terrasse de la piscine sur le port et la ville. 4) La promenade facile et agréable de 15 minutes jusqu'à la ville et ses bons restaurants. 5) Le parking souterrain est facile d'accès, mais aucune réduction n'est proposée aux clients de l'hôtel, soit 15 euros par jour. Points négatifs : 1) Le bruit. Les chambres paires sont proches de la route, l'une des principales voies d'accès à Funchal. Certains se plaignent du bruit du casino, situé en haut de la colline, mais je pense que ce n'est pas aussi gênant qu'il y paraît. Les chambres impaires donnent sur le port, ce qui offre une vue intéressante. Mais les chambres à partir de la 125e se trouvent au-dessus de la terrasse d'un bar-restaurant indépendant de l'hôtel. Extrêmement fréquenté et bruyant, il est ouvert jusqu'à tard, jusqu'au petit matin, le week-end, semble-t-il. Les clients parlent fort par-dessus la musique d'ambiance et leurs enfants courent et crient. C'est parfait pour eux… mais pas si vous essayez de dormir… Les chambres de la 101e à la 125e devraient être plus confortables. Malheureusement… ce n'est pas sous le contrôle de l'hôtel…

Personnel de l'hôtel très agréable. Prix de l'hôtel en revanche très excessif pour les prestations. Très bon petit déjeuner. Jacuzzi fermé à deux reprises, Sauna fermé à deux reprises également. Piscine agréable et jolie. Attention ! Boîte de nuit rooftop à côté de l'hôtel du coup les chambres côtés rue se retrouvent avec un bruit enorme impossible de dormir (sans exagération). L'hôtel subit cette situation, ils ont contacté la police mais ne peuvent pas faire beaucoup plus car ils sont en conflit avec la boîte depuis un moment pour faire cesser cela ...). Heureusement le personnel de l'hôtel est au top et nous avons eu une chambre vue mer (côté calme pour le reste du séjour). Mais si l'hôtel avait été complet pendant la totalité du séjour nous aurions pu vivre un enfer sans pouvoir changer de chambre dans je préfère prévenir quand même afin d'éviter de gâcher un séjour si un changement de chambre est impossible.

Quarto muito confortável. Falta luminosidade à noite, caso se queira trabalhar no quarto. Atendimento excelente de toda equipe. Serviço de limpeza diariamente perfeito. Pequeno almoço variado e completo. Localização privilegiada, perto de tudo no centro de Funchal.

Sehr sehr freundliches Personal und das Frühstück hat nicht so viel auswahl ist aber sehr fein. Teilweise waren die Vorhänge dreckig und die Fensterscheibe hatte risse.

The dirty shag green carpet in the hallways was very dated. Bed sheets as too hard and no soft mattress pad. Very cheap furnishings and toiletries. Not even a lotion in the bathroom.

As a former GM of a few hotels. I will say it was an enjoyable stay. The design of the property with all its natural light and views is amazing: the breakfast was impressive with such great variety with both cold and warm foods. The coffee machine/area could use signage staying the pods are in the drawer below. The portion size of the wine was so minimal I had to send it back to increase the volume to 6oz. The room was very clean. Housekeeping was wonderful. The room is not lit well with only one small overhead light at the entrance. My room was 104. It was basically next to the outdoor pool and bar area. Every night ( 4 in total) the music/party was loud and difficult to sleep. I did not ask to be moved, but probably should have had. Again, overall an excellent stay. I want to recognize both Marcus and Hugo for their excellent service. Marcus, who checked me in was kind, thoughtful and took time to inform me of an excellent seafood restaurant:
As a former GM of a few hotels. I will say it was an enjoyable stay. The design of the property with all its natural light and views is amazing: the breakfast was impressive with such great variety with both cold and warm foods. The coffee machine/area could use signage staying the pods are in the drawer below. The portion size of the wine was so minimal I had to send it back to increase the volume to 6oz. The room was very clean. Housekeeping was wonderful. The room is not lit well with only one small overhead light at the entrance. My room was 104. It was basically next to the outdoor pool and bar area. Every night ( 4 in total) the music/party was loud and difficult to sleep. I did not ask to be moved, but probably should have had. Again, overall an excellent stay. I want to recognize both Marcus and Hugo for their excellent service. Marcus, who checked me in was kind, thoughtful and took time to inform me of an excellent seafood restaurant:

It was a good stay overall. However the lighting in the room was awful. It’s not enough light to do anything. We have to use flashlights to pack our bags. I emailed the hotel a few times before landing to ask about airport shuttles but never got a response. Breakfast was the same things everyday…not the best. They should be a water station that guests can use for water without being charged. The staff was very friendly and nice!!

Superb hospitality with one of the best I have seen in Europe, pleasant and friendly staff. The location of the hotel is not only at walking distance to all major sightseeing in Funchal, but also have tour operator options nearby and within the hotel itself. The central location makes it quite easy and convenient to commute with the public transport nearby. The rooms are also spacious with perfect Ocean view to grace your vacation everyday. The breakfast had a wide variety of food selection with also a possibility for customized preference. The hotel also had an option to get a breakfast package incase someone would like to leave early in morning for sightseeing. The area is also very safe to roam around and go for walks around after sunset.

Although the hotel boasts a fantastic staff and an excellent location, our experience was marred by several issues. The noise levels in the hotel were exceptionally high, compounded by a nearby nightclub blaring loud music until 8am every Friday and Saturday. Additionally, there was ongoing construction beneath our room throughout our stay, which proved to be highly disruptive. Our room felt rather dim, to the extent that we needed a flashlight to navigate the obscured wardrobe. While the pool seemed inviting, it unfortunately served as a breeding ground for mosquitoes. Moreover, the pool bar service was practically non-existent, prompting most guests to venture downstairs for a drink due to the lack of service. I cannot in good conscience recommend this hotel to anyone.”

A short break booked at the last minute, we found the hotel staff very friendly and helpful and hotel is ideally located to Funchal centre. The breakfast offering was great with very good selection of food to choose from. The only thing I would say was that the bed was a little too firm for both my wife and I, this is obviously a personal thing. Overall a great stay and I would recommend to friends and family.

The service provided is super friendly and super helpful. Hugo the Manager is such a class act, nothing is too much trouble for him or his staff. Special Mention also to Gorati who ran the show in terms of the Dining, Bar and Breakfast set up. A Beautiful personable lady who made our experience so welcoming. We cannot wait to return in 2025. Its been 7 years prior to this week since we last visited, we will be coming back for sure.

Hotel was very run down, the room didn't feel very clean. When going in and out of the hotel the staff don't greet you. At the bar it takes over 15 minutes for them to acknowledge you. The only friendly staff were some of the cleaners who greeted you when you walked past. We stayed for 4 nights and 2 of those nights we couldn't use the roof terrace as they had private parties. There is loud music playing all night until around 2am coming from the front of the hotel every day. The beds are very uncomfortable they wobble even if you just lean on it. We had breakfast included in our stay however the food and layout of it looked extremely unappetising. After researching about the hotel and everywhere saying that you get free entry to the museu. That is infact not true and you do have to pay. Overall very disappointed in this hotel. Considering that all other cr7 hotels look beautiful and well looked after. And the one that is in Ronaldo's home is the worst of them all. Unfortunately its the worse hotel i have ever stayed in.

This hotel is nice and unique. The service staff is very nice however we had a poor experience with reception where one staff member in particular had a bad attitude with nearly every interaction. The hotel is clean and walkable to downtown but after staying on the southwestern side of the island at a different hotel for a similar price, I would seek out other options in the future.

Das Pestana CR7 war die ideale Unterkunft für uns; zentral am Hafen gelegen, tolles, modernes Hotel mit Pool und Tiefgarage. Das Personal war sehr freundlich, zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Vielen Dank auch für die guten Tipps, die wir bekommen haben. Das Frühstücksbuffett war vielseitig und lecker. Ein wunderschöner Urlaub mit vielen schönen Eindrücken von dieser tollen Insel.

Hotel has a style , location is amazing , but be ready to "fight" the cruise ship crowds , it's never ending . I actually enjoyed the city view with a grassy balcony vs facing the cruise ship balconies of the "sea view" . Breakfast was plentiful, service was amazing. Just you all know, CR stands for Christiano Ronaldo , his collab with the local hotel chain

Superb hospitality with one of the best I have seen in Europe, pleasant and friendly staff. The location of the hotel is not only at walking distance to all major sightseeing in Funchal, but also have tour operator options nearby and within the hotel itself. The central location makes it quite easy and convenient to commute with the public transport nearby. The rooms are also spacious with perfect Ocean view to grace your vacation everyday. The breakfast had a wide variety of food selection with also a possibility for customized preference. The hotel also had an option to get a breakfast package incase someone would like to leave early in morning for sightseeing. The area is also very safe to roam around and go for walks around after sunset.

Hotel has a style , location is amazing , but be ready to "fight" the cruise ship crowds , it's never ending . I actually enjoyed the city view with a grassy balcony vs facing the cruise ship balconies of the "sea view" . Breakfast was plentiful, service was amazing. Tout d'abord, les points positifs : 1) Le petit-déjeuner offre un excellent choix au buffet et un service à la commande. Les omelettes sont excellentes ! 2) L'accueil et la gentillesse du personnel. 3) La vue depuis la terrasse de la piscine sur le port et la ville. 4) La promenade facile et agréable de 15 minutes jusqu'à la ville et ses bons restaurants. 5) Le parking souterrain est facile d'accès, mais aucune réduction n'est proposée aux clients de l'hôtel, soit 15 euros par jour. Points négatifs : 1) Le bruit. Les chambres paires sont proches de la route, l'une des principales voies d'accès à Funchal. Certains se plaignent du bruit du casino, situé en haut de la colline, mais je pense que ce n'est pas aussi gênant qu'il y paraît. Les chambres impaires donnent sur le port, ce qui offre une vue intéressante. Mais les chambres à partir de la 125e se trouvent au-dessus de la terrasse d'un bar-restaurant indépendant de l'hôtel. Extrêmement fréquenté et bruyant, il est ouvert jusqu'à tard, jusqu'au petit matin, le week-end, semble-t-il. Les clients parlent fort par-dessus la musique d'ambiance et leurs enfants courent et crient. Personnel de l'hôtel très agréable. Prix de l'hôtel en revanche très excessif pour les prestations. Très bon petit déjeuner. Jacuzzi fermé à deux reprises, Sauna fermé à deux reprises également. Piscine agréable et jolie. Attention ! Boîte de nuit rooftop à côté de l'hôtel du coup les chambres côtés rue se retrouvent avec un bruit enorme impossible de dormir (sans exagération). L'hôtel subit cette situation, ils ont contacté la police mais ne peuvent pas faire beaucoup plus car ils sont en conflit avec la boîte depuis un moment pour faire cesser cela ...). Heureusement le personnel de l'hôtel est au top et nous avons eu une chambre vue mer (côté calme pour le reste du séjour). Mais si l'hôtel avait été complet pendant la totalité du séjour nous aurions pu vivre un enfer sans pouvoir changer de chambre dans je préfère prévenir quand même afin d'éviter de gâcher un séjour si un changement de chambre est impossible.

A short break booked at the last minute, we found the hotel staff very friendly and helpful and hotel is ideally located to Funchal centre. The breakfast offering was great with very good selection of food to choose from. The only thing I would say was that the bed was a little too firm for both my wife and I, this is obviously a personal thing. Overall a great stay and I would recommend to friends and family.

We booked three rooms for our family of six, but my experience was far from satisfactory. On the first night, I was assigned to Room 104, which was right next to a noisy technical room. Because of the hallway layout, this room was noticeably smaller—at least 3 to 4 square meters less than the others. I asked to switch, and they moved me to Room 108. However, this turned out to be an accessible room. The bathroom layout, sink, and toilet were identical to a public handicap restroom at an airport, which completely ruined the vacation vibe for the rest of my three-night stay. I didn't bother complaining a second time since staff told me during the first move that the hotel was fully booked. As for the facilities and service, the breakfast buffet lacked variety, and a few staff members had less-than-pleasant attitudes. On a positive note, the hotel environment was nice, the resort was never crowded, and the pool area was quiet with plenty of empty sun loungers. Overall, a disappointing stay due to poor room assignments and inconsistent service.

Tivemos uma estadia maravilhosa neste hotel! O café da manhã é excelente, com muita variedade e qualidade. O quarto tinha um ótimo tamanho, estava muito limpo e bem cuidado durante toda a nossa permanência. A área da piscina é linda, agradável e perfeita para aproveitar os dias de sol em Funchal. Destacamos também o excelente atendimento de toda a equipe, sempre muito simpática e prestável. Foi uma experiência muito positiva e, sem dúvida, voltaremos numa próxima visita à Madeira!
