On a scale of 1-10 I wish I could give the W a better than 10! This resort is top tier. The view is beautiful. The beach the property sits on has soft sand, the waves are huge and guest enjoy surfing. The grounds are well manicured and constantly attended to, to ensure optimal comfort for guests. Our room had an amazing layout, with a private plunge pool on the rooftop. The decor in the room was amazing, the detail made it feel like home. The bed was soft, almost making it hard to get out of daily - are the blankets weighted? Probably! The automatic shades make the view from room beautiful without having to get out of bed! The dual shower heads and the outdoor bath tub made relaxation a priority, almost a spa feel! The staff greet you every time you cross paths. Everyone is so friendly and attentive. I wished we could have checked in a little earlier but understand why we couldn’t - other than that, I have no complaints. The hotel did accommodate a late check out so that made up for it tremendously! The food was not bad, very much upscale dining except the breakfast buffet. We enjoyed the French toast and the omelette station daily. We tried 2 dinner restaurants - Spice Market (Jose was great, attentive and a pleasure to see twice) ribeye was great - & Venazu - pizza was to die for, wood fired and fresh deliciousness. Overall we had a positive experience and wish we could have stayed longer!

It was a really boutique property. The rooms are clean and spacious. However, the check-in experience was not as exclusive as we anticipated. Howeve,r the front desk staff was responsive and helpful. The breakfast was good with an open buffet but I cannot say the same for the lunch and dinner of the main restaurant. The menu was very standard Mexican. However fortunately they had a great restaurant called Spice Market which we ate 3 times. It's Asian Fusion but a really good alternative if you get bored eating Tacos. The other thing is that it's not a very kids-oriented hotel. There are not many animations or activities, and there is no kids' center for children. But my kids did fine anyway.

Amazing hotel, very friendly staff! Loved the dining experience, Ricardo and the Team were very attentive and provided exceptional service. Great rooms, very cozy and clean. Perfect to disconnect from reality and rejuvenate. Excellent gym and spa facilities. Jungle vibes throughout resort, very relaxing atmosphere. We would love to come back again one day, brilliant resort. We miss it dearly!

Tuve un percance en la alberca, se rompió una rejilla y me lesione la pierna. El servicio medico es precario para hacer evaluaciones mas profundas o garantizar que pueda uno estar de manera adecuada. De manera de cortesía me ofrecieron un par de pizzas por el percance. En 1.5 días no pude disfrutar las amenidades del hotel por el incidente, lo menos que pudieron hacer es un descuento o retribución; en ningún momento tuve el acercamiento del gerente para ver tal situación. En recepción externe mi sentir y me comentaron que no podían hacer nada al respecto. Es mi segunda visita y debo comentarles que en 5 años el hotel luce igual, se nota que no dan mantenimiento a zonas de riesgo, además que los meseros son muy lentos en el servicio respecto a la primera vez que me hospede ahí. La comida es muy buena y la atención para los niños estupenda.

Interesting property. Very rocky beach so definitely not for little ones. Also, extremely remote and isolated. Good opportunity for couples R&R, not excursions. The waves are robust and sound wonderful all day/night. You can really only see the water from the very front units. The food was great, as well as the extraordinary staff. Amazing service!

Me gustó el hotel, muy tranquilo, es bonito y tienen todo lo necesario. Les hace falta rampa para entrar desde un lado del restaurante rubra, hay muchos animales por lo que hay demasiados excrementos en las banquetas. Creo podrían limpiar mejor eso. Hace falta que haya más música en vivo, el Dj está bien pero es el mismo tipo de música todo el día. Los restaurantes están bien, excelente atención del personal. Quedamos un tanto descontentos por que nos hicieron un cobro al final de la estancia que no estaba estipulado claramente al hacer la reserva prepagada a través de expedía. Aunque la propiedad se protege diciendo que la contratación del servicio se hizo a través de expedía aún así me parece que se deslindan por qué finalmente yo soy la cliente y en el recibo de expedía y en ningún lado se estipulaba dicho cobro ya que ya habíamos pagado el all inclusive y todos los impuestos. El agua de la alberca un tanto muy caliente.

Bohemian luxury! We picked the jungle room and loved it; truly felt immersed in vegetation and secluded. Every walk felt like an excursion. The beach was beautiful with huge waves but low tide; we had our 8 year old and never felt unsafe swimming in the ocean. The food was amazing, every bite in every restaurant; great drinks mixed with real fresh fruit juice. There aren’t any activities at night, but we didn’t feel the need to seek any other option; this is a place to relax and enjoy nature and peace. We will be back!

We had the lagoon view villa room with a large sliding door and view of the lagoon. The room was larger than a standard hotel room. Nespresso maker always a plus. Rain shower and large bathtub. Staff were very accommodating. 2 restaurants on site and one beach bar with appetizers. Property is easily walkable to the lobby and pool. On site activities for scuba, kayak, and surfing. Taxi on site, will charge to your room. ATM in activity lounge.

Todo excelente , el único pero que le ponemos es que el área de los camastros estaba bastante sucia. De ahí en más , todo el hotel Hermoso , el servicio super atento , la comida excelente y los cuartos muy limpios y bonitos.

El servicio de limpieza en la habitaciones muy malo, no dejaban toallas de mano nuevas, la sucias se las llevaban y no dejaban nuevas. El último día ya no teníamos ninguna. Todos los días tuve que llamar para que hicieran limpieza de mi habitación porque era súper tarde y no la habían hecho. Tampoco te dejan más barras de jabón, al final ya no tenia jabón. Cuando me iba del hotel llame durante 20 minutos por teléfono para pedir un carrito para que me ayudara con mis maletas y nunca me respondieron. Tuve que llevarme mis maletas caminando al lobby.

Me gustó el hotel, muy tranquilo, es bonito y tienen todo lo necesario. Les hace falta rampa para entrar desde un lado del restaurante rubra, hay muchos animales por lo que hay demasiados excrementos en las banquetas. Creo podrían limpiar mejor eso. Hace falta que haya más música en vivo, el Dj está bien pero es el mismo tipo de música todo el día. Los restaurantes están bien, excelente atención del personal. Quedamos un tanto descontentos por que nos hicieron un cobro al final de la estancia que no estaba estipulado claramente al hacer la reserva prepagada a través de expedía. Aunque la propiedad se protege diciendo que la contratación del servicio se hizo a través de expedía aún así me parece que se deslindan por qué finalmente yo soy la cliente y en el recibo de expedía y en ningún lado se estipulaba dicho cobro ya que ya habíamos pagado el all inclusive y todos los impuestos. El agua de la alberca un tanto muy caliente.

On a scale of 1-10 I wish I could give the W a better than 10! This resort is top tier. The view is beautiful. The beach the property sits on has soft sand, the waves are huge and guest enjoy surfing. The grounds are well manicured and constantly attended to, to ensure optimal comfort for guests. Our room had an amazing layout, with a private plunge pool on the rooftop. The decor in the room was amazing, the detail made it feel like home. The bed was soft, almost making it hard to get out of daily - are the blankets weighted? Probably! The automatic shades make the view from room beautiful without having to get out of bed! The dual shower heads and the outdoor bath tub made relaxation a priority, almost a spa feel! The staff greet you every time you cross paths. Everyone is so friendly and attentive. I wished we could have checked in a little earlier but understand why we couldn’t - other than that, I have no complaints. The hotel did accommodate a late check out so that made up for it tremendously! The food was not bad, very much upscale dining except the breakfast buffet. We enjoyed the French toast and the omelette station daily. We tried 2 dinner restaurants - Spice Market (Jose was great, attentive and a pleasure to see twice) ribeye was great - & Venazu - pizza was to die for, wood fired and fresh deliciousness. Overall we had a positive experience and wish we could have stayed longer!

Friendly staff. Good food and drink options. Excellent variety of gluten free food options with knowledgeable staff on allergy requirements. Rooms are a little funky with limited bathroom privacy. Double room had limited storage but king room had plenty of space for stuff. Beds were comfy. Property is spread out but they do offer golf cart shuttle.

Great stay. The lake view room is gorgeous and fun. I just wished the room could be warmer if desired. There’s lots of lush trees and plants. Lots of butterflies and insects. They provide bug spray, sunscreen, aloe Vera , and tanning lotion. The beach is walking distance from the pool. The staff is Uber friendly and helpful.

Room description states queen beds when in reality there full beds . Outlets in restroom did not function . My room had plunge pool had already asked to get extra towels every time housekeeping was there and did not get . Food and drinks are good but over prized . Had asked for late check out on day 1 was told they would contact me day prior to check out , had to call them on day of check out since never received call,was told after 1 pm cost of late check out was $100 . During check out was charged $162 for late check out was also charged for meals that were not ours as well as transportation .

We had the lagoon view villa room with a large sliding door and view of the lagoon. The room was larger than a standard hotel room. Nespresso maker always a plus. Rain shower and large bathtub. Staff were very accommodating. 2 restaurants on site and one beach bar with appetizers. Property is easily walkable to the lobby and pool. On site activities for scuba, kayak, and surfing. Taxi on site, will charge to your room. ATM in activity lounge.

En general bien, salvo el check in, la chica que nos atendio "lady" muy mal, no me explicó con claridad muchos aspectos y como que tenia prisa en terminar lo mas rapido posible con nosotros, le pregunte que si habia alguna app (aplicacion) del hotel para conocer sus areas y solo me dijo que me "imprimia" el mapa del hotel, y pues ya la verdad no quise preguntar nada mas porque se veia que estaba como de malas con nosotros y me senti sumamente incómodo, pésima experiencia. Despues, hasta el check out, me refirio otra chica (por cierto muy amable y lo contrario a la "Lady") que sí habia una app (Marriot Bonvoy) muy mal, además, nunca nos surtieron el minibar hasta la ultima noche de mi estancia, y eso porque le mencione al señor que nos condujo en el carrito al restaurante mexicano. Por lo demás, considero que solo 2 restaurantes es poco, considerando otros hoteles como Hard Rock, que ofrecen 3 o hasta 4 restaurantes, el ultimo dia queriamos cenar en el restaurante "Ruba" y estaba cerrado, porque era lunes, insisto, jamás nos mencionaron esos "detalles". Los meseros, cheff, subcheff, gente de limpieza, barman y en general todos super bien atentos, sin queja; la musica ambiental muy del estilo norteamericano, lástima.

10/10 Perfecto! The resort itself is exquisite—the pools, beach, room, restaurants, bars but what made our week so amazing was the staff. Every single resort employee we encountered was authentically warm, kind and provided superb service. I would definitely return to the W Punta Mita.

Our third time at the W and the staff members were even more gracious than we remembered. It's always the small things make hotel stays memorable. The concierge, Aide, stayed beyond her shift to get our boating expedition details squared away and when we were at the pool the staff brought unexpected desserts to our teenage girls.

Interesting property. Very rocky beach so definitely not for little ones. Also, extremely remote and isolated. Good opportunity for couples R&R, not excursions. The waves are robust and sound wonderful all day/night. You can really only see the water from the very front units. The food was great, as well as the extraordinary staff. Amazing service!

Really nice resort, food was expensive and a little overpriced for the quality. Staff and Service were excellent. It is a bit removed from from Punta de Mita and cabs cost about $50 USD round trip, catch an Uber if you can. I am glad I rented a car for day trips to Sayulita and San Pancho.

Bohemian luxury! We picked the jungle room and loved it; truly felt immersed in vegetation and secluded. Every walk felt like an excursion. The beach was beautiful with huge waves but low tide; we had our 8 year old and never felt unsafe swimming in the ocean. The food was amazing, every bite in every restaurant; great drinks mixed with real fresh fruit juice. There aren’t any activities at night, but we didn’t feel the need to seek any other option; this is a place to relax and enjoy nature and peace. We will be back!

This place is amazing. Beautiful facilities, comfortable rooms, and an amazing beach access. The hotel was built in the middle of the jungle making your stay a very pleasant and unique experience. Loved our experience at Punta Mita. My only recommendation would be to rent a car to go explore the nearby towns and avoid the expensive taxi rides.

Loved this property, we would definitely stay again. One thing to note, the food is extremely overpriced and mediocre. There is one restaurant in the property that was extraordinary and although very expensive worth every penny, it is called Rubra and it is one of the best meals I’ve had in Mexico.

Breakfast charges for buffet very high for a family of 4 and especially if one does not eat much but still wants a few options. Waiters also not very attentive to what was consumed and often charging for the highest price option.

On a scale of 1-10 I wish I could give the W a better than 10! This resort is top tier. The view is beautiful. The beach the property sits on has soft sand, the waves are huge and guest enjoy surfing. The grounds are well manicured and constantly attended to, to ensure optimal comfort for guests. Our room had an amazing layout, with a private plunge pool on the rooftop. The decor in the room was amazing, the detail made it feel like home. The bed was soft, almost making it hard to get out of daily - are the blankets weighted? Probably! The automatic shades make the view from room beautiful without having to get out of bed! The dual shower heads and the outdoor bath tub made relaxation a priority, almost a spa feel! The staff greet you every time you cross paths. Everyone is so friendly and attentive. I wished we could have checked in a little earlier but understand why we couldn’t - other than that, I have no complaints. The hotel did accommodate a late check out so that made up for it tremendously! The food was not bad, very much upscale dining except the breakfast buffet. We enjoyed the French toast and the omelette station daily. We tried 2 dinner restaurants - Spice Market (Jose was great, attentive and a pleasure to see twice) ribeye was great - & Venazu - pizza was to die for, wood fired and fresh deliciousness. Overall we had a positive experience and wish we could have stayed longer!

It was a really boutique property. The rooms are clean and spacious. However, the check-in experience was not as exclusive as we anticipated. Howeve,r the front desk staff was responsive and helpful. The breakfast was good with an open buffet but I cannot say the same for the lunch and dinner of the main restaurant. The menu was very standard Mexican. However fortunately they had a great restaurant called Spice Market which we ate 3 times. It's Asian Fusion but a really good alternative if you get bored eating Tacos. The other thing is that it's not a very kids-oriented hotel. There are not many animations or activities, and there is no kids' center for children. But my kids did fine anyway.

Overall, my experience was good. I especially want to highlight the staff: everyone was consistently courteous, professional, and very helpful. I have no complaints whatsoever about the service. The beach is spectacular, and the food I was able to try was excellent. The main negative point for me was the hotel’s pet policy and, especially, the inconsistency in the information provided. Depending on whom I asked, I received a different answer about where I could and could not go with Cannoli. The hotel presents itself as pet friendly, but in practice I think it would be more accurate to say that it simply accepts pets. You can have your dog in the room and in certain outdoor areas, but pets are not allowed inside any of the restaurants. This becomes particularly difficult in a destination where the outdoor temperature can feel close to 40°C. If you are traveling alone with your dog, as I was, you essentially have very limited opportunities to enjoy the hotel’s restaurants. One evening I was allowed to dine indoors with Cannoli at Spice Market, which I greatly appreciated, but I was later told that this had been an exception — or more specifically, a mistake — and that I should not have been allowed inside with him. To me, there is an important difference between a hotel that “accepts pets” and one that is genuinely “pet friendly.” In this respect, I believe the hotel should either reconsider its policy or at least communicate it much more clearly and consistently.
