When we checked in were given a room where the dishwasher was clearly marked as not working. When we asked for a room change, the front desk person refused to believe us. After coming to room and seeing that the dishwasher was clearly marked not working, we were asked us to adjust! When we refused, the person said there were no available rooms. When we threatened to wait in the lobby until they got the dishwasher fixed or gave us another room, suddenly the hotel found another available room. The front staff could barely speak English so it was a real struggle communicating anything with them. Housekeeping was only once in 3 days and yet it was haphazard . The bed would be made but everything else was left as is. No vaccumming, no topping up amenities, no cleaning the kitchen counter .We had to buy additional data cos the WiFi worked only in one corner of the room. The kitchen sink is literally just 6 inches wide! The washer dryer are old and so loud, you cannot do anything while they are working. And finally the walls are very thin. We could hear the conversations of the guests in the next room.

The room was good. But it was way too hot, we had to turn the aircon on to sleep. This is in the middle of winter and it’s freezing outside. The room also had a lot of noise from pipes and their heating system. bed needs upgraded as it’s hard.

So much potential with this place but: Preventative maintenance is non existent. We had two rooms for 6 days. 1st room shower rail was clearly broken and shower head hanging on hose, and not fixed prior to us checking in. I reported this and by end of next day still not fixed. Granted, they did transfer us to another room, but only after I insisted. Next room, our tumble dryer door totally off with door broken, and when forced close also did nit work with belt broken. Reported this to manager but didn’t get fixed. 2nd room, bathroom door can’t close properly. Fridge in poor condition with small flip door to freezer non existent and fridge freezing up. Worst was handle of front door coming of. Reported this to reception not once, not twice, but three times, including to the manager himself and sadly not fixed after three days. Probably still broken as by our check out it was still not fixed. Finally, advertised as cleaning service available but they only come every 3 days. So you get 2 toilet rolls every third day. Sad as this could be such a great place but there seems to be a leadership issue with manager not holding staff accountable or he is not given a maintenance budget. Everything is re-active which is poor as apposed to being proactive. We expect better for the prices charged. I travel a lot and sadly will not use or recommend Ramada in the future.
