Rather sad there was no sauna. Bar was under stocked..1 x Bombay Saphire and they ran out. Changed to another gin and no more normal tonic water. Only light. Restautant menu very poor. The time it took to expain about parking, i already had a ticket!

Booked this DoubleTree by Hilton based on Expedia’s listing, which falsely claimed onsite parking. There was none. When I showed staff the listing, they got defensive and refused to acknowledge the issue—no apology, no help. The room had no soap for hand-washing, which is basic hygiene. We had to call down just to get one. Water bottles were left outside room doors, which felt careless and potentially unsafe. To top it off, the building was covered in scaffolding, and planned works began daily from 8:00–8:30am. Our window front was completely obstructed, and privacy was compromised. Overall, a frustrating stay with poor service and misleading information. Definitely not what you'd expect from a Hilton-branded hotel.

Service was excellent. Breakfast was great. They had work going on to the hotel which meant Disable Parking was suspended but parked in a secure car park 2 mins walk away. No problem. Would definitely stay there again and would highly recommend it.

The room wasn't clean and I wasn't the only person that thought so as in check in there was another guest at reception complaining. Even tough I asked for an upgrade as a Hilton honours member I was offered a huge fee to do so of £80, when an email pre checking offered me the same thing for £20. Apparently the system wouldn't let them Chang this. In the end I swapper rooms to the same type but in a different way floor. The reception staff were nice but very inexperienced. This hotel is in. A great location but, right by the rail tracks. Also there is no parking and that will cost about £30 overnight. I guess that's not too bad, and the car is safe and near. I would have loved to have had a better experience as I was planning to return. They knew I wasn't cool with the room and the high price they said to upgrade, but after changing me to a different but the same room I got a voucher for a drink, to pacify me

They do not have parking facility. There is a multistory car park nearby but after 11pm no access to your vehicle. All doors are chained up. Had to find a route to crawl through to get back to car for medication. They have no keys. This is false advertising to say there are car park facility's. Parked at 4pm left at 10am = £24? Seriously, I have travelled UK for these hours never had such a high expense!

Absolutely dreadful stay I was there for 2 nights without any heating it was -2 outside and not much warmer in the building, people were eating in the restaurant with coats scarves and hats on!! The hotel staff weren’t helpful and no sign of compensation

Great location for a stay in Kingston. Walking distance to the station, river and shopping centre. We stayed in a family room (2 adults and 2 children) and it was very comfortable and roomy. Breakfast was good quality and plentiful and the warm welcome cookie on arrival was a lovely touch! We stayed for a birthday and when we arrived there was a birthday message and selection of sweet treats in the room which went down very well!

Great location close to the center of Kingston upon Thames, plenty of good bars, restaurants and shopping. Easy access to central London via train Breakfast is good and will set you up for the day. What needs to improve, very simply the staffing, we had a noise issue at 1am in the morning and the night team after a while moved us to a new room albeit smaller than our original room. We were told the manager would be advised and that he would reach out to us personally, it never happened The restaurant staff were invisible and slow to serve on the one occasion we decided to eat at the hotel, the food was average at best and the cost of our fish and chips dinner was crazy expensive! On reflection, they say staff are a reflection of leadership, and given our experience with the poor level of customer care from the hotel manager we shouldn’t be surprised by our experience Won’t be rushing back in a hurry, better value to be had elsewhere

We had a very good stay. The trainee receptionist, Emily, was extremely warm, friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable and we had a good breakfast. We enjoyed the welcome cookies too!

Overall, a frustrating stay with poor service and misleading information. Definitely not what you'd expect from a Hilton-branded hotel.

Booked this DoubleTree by Hilton based on Expedia’s listing, which falsely claimed onsite parking. There was none. When I showed staff the listing, they got defensive and refused to acknowledge the issue—no apology, no help. The room had no soap for hand-washing, which is basic hygiene. We had to call down just to get one. Water bottles were left outside room doors, which felt careless and potentially unsafe. To top it off, the building was covered in scaffolding, and planned works began daily from 8:00–8:30am. Our window front was completely obstructed, and privacy was compromised. Overall, a frustrating stay with poor service and misleading information. Definitely not what you'd expect from a Hilton-branded hotel.

Weeks prior to our arrival, we wrote in asking for an early check-in because we had to change for an event immediately after arriving. However, upon arrival after a long flight we were told that the room was not available. We were previously told that this may be a possibility and accepted the situation. We were instead, told to use the bathroom in the lobby to change in and we proceeded to do so. Five minutes later, hubby checked in with another staff to inquire if room was truly not available and was told that it indeed WAS available! Appears that staff members are undergoing training and unsure of where to find details. Apart from that, stay was pleasant.

Great location close to the center of Kingston upon Thames, plenty of good bars, restaurants and shopping. Easy access to central London via train Breakfast is good and will set you up for the day. Great location for a stay in Kingston. Walking distance to the station, river and shopping centre. We stayed in a family room (2 adults and 2 children) and it was very comfortable and roomy. Breakfast was good quality and plentiful and the warm welcome cookie on arrival was a lovely touch! We stayed for a birthday and when we arrived there was a birthday message and selection of sweet treats in the room which went down very well!

Rather sad there was no sauna. Bar was under stocked..1 x Bombay Saphire and they ran out. Changed to another gin and no more normal tonic water. Only light. Restautant menu very poor. The time it took to expain about parking, i already had a ticket!

We had a very good stay. The trainee receptionist, Emily, was extremely warm, friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable and we had a good breakfast. We enjoyed the welcome cookies too!

Service was excellent. Breakfast was great. They had work going on to the hotel which meant Disable Parking was suspended but parked in a secure car park 2 mins walk away. No problem. Would definitely stay there again and would highly recommend it.

They really looked after us! Arriving from a long haul flight before 9am to drop off bags, we were not only granted early access but upgraded! The staff were very kind, considerate and helpful. Location was perfect. I had early morning walks along the Thames and access to shops and restaurants closeby. We ate in too and the meals were great. So grateful to have booked there to rest and recover from jet lag. Highly recommend

We had a wonderful stay! The hotel is in an excellent central location, just a five-minute walk from the station, with shops right on the doorstep. It’s a perfect base for exploring Kingston upon Thames. As we arrived early, we were able to leave our luggage in the luggage room, which was really convenient. Our room was amazing, much larger than we expected, with super comfortable beds and a lovely shower. We were on the 7th floor and had a nice view too. Breakfast was fantastic, with a great selection on offer. There was the option to have some food cooked to order. The buffet was amazing so we didn’t get to try this time! The sausages and bacon were particularly good, cooked perfectly, and the scrambled eggs were delicious too. The hotel itself was spotless and the room was decorated well. A lovely welcome touch was being given a cookie on arrival. Overall, we had a great experience and would happily stay here again!

A good budget option if in Kingston. Clean and spacious rooms. I booked an accessible room by mistake and got changed to a standard room by the helpful reception manageress and was given a later check out, as well. One pleasant woman at the breakfast, whilst the remainder were all pretty gloomy. A couple of small maintenance issues which got fixed quickly. A good standard for the price. Maybe if the staff got paid more they’d smile a bit more often!
