An amazing hotel with brilliant staff. Room was immaculate and the spa really good and great value for money. All the staff were really friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough for you. Will definitely be back.

Great hotel. One of the better properties in Amritsar. Special thanks to Mukesh who helped with our bags at check in and check out. Suraj on the club lounge (5th floor) was very hospitable. Special thanks to Ravi at front desk who extended our check out even though the hotel was sold out realizing our friend wasn’t feeling well. Overall the hotel is in a great location. Has all the amenities. Breakfast Buffet had good food. The gym was a little smaller than expected but did the job. Pool area was beautiful as well.

if you are looking for a Taj experience this is not the property The building is in a poor shape The sauna and steam room not working Choice of flowers used for decoration pathetic The lobby is full of staff and managers but none want to meet you or talk to you they are just busy in something i have no clue The concierge has no clue of any travel attractions Even after talking this to siddarth one of the manager there is no change The room is good but all switches and electronics are quite outdated the F&B staff is the only saving point of the property some staff are still performing well Aashish and chef Ajay tried their best chauffer Ravi was great too Overall the staff need to check and train with oberoi and see what is the difference Taj you have lost one loyal customer of yours

We stayed a night in July. We rented two rooms one was ok, the other one’s drain smelled. It was fixed quickly and hotel offered late checkout for free. Breakfast was all right, a bit too buttery for our taste.

I checked in and my room wasnt ready upon arrival. One room was ready aprox an hr and a half after arrival and the other wasn't ready till 3 hours after arrival. Room was nice and staff was nice as well. Lobby in the bathroom needs to be up-kept more often as it was dirty. Breakfast had a lot of options and dinner was excellent although it took a while for the food to come.

I’ve stayed at the Taj in the summer and it was absolutely fantastic however this time I found it was lacking. The room wasn’t clean, sheet was stained , shower doors dirty and lots of dust on top of all areas. I found even the staff was a little lacking this time. I don’t usually write reviews but I do really love this Hotel and I hope they improve on these areas and get back to a world class hotel it can be.

Our stay for a week was amazing. Weather rooms were spacious and clean, the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and the location is great for access to the Golden Temple as well as being located right next to a Shopping Mall and cinema. The food at the hotel restaurant was delicious, though a little pricey compared to the other restaurants in Amritsar. Excellent service all round and would be happy to visit again.

Overall wonderful experience. Would have been nice if I was told about some of the facilities and shown where they are at check in. The buttons for the lights were super sticky & shower head was broken, wasn’t a big deal because I used the overhead one but still would have been nice to have that working.

This is a fantastic property which will make you feel very comfortable. The food is excellent and the atmosphere wonderful. The rooms are spacious. We had the Taj Club upgrade which basically requested to a communal lounge with as few simple snacks and a neat alcohol serving a day. The service was good, but when you consider the level of service we have had across India on priorities in the same price band this hotel didn't live up to the expected standard. We asked for the cost of a car transfer, no one got back to us. The food was excellent, however the thing buffet was a little confusing in half of the items being for ordering from the table. No one explained this process which was surprising as we had a long delay in getting seated despite a number of empty tables. Drinks took al longer to arrive than the starters. Equally the staff just smiled but didn't make the invisible step of making you feel welcome and special. You expect something special when you book a Taj property, the name of associated with the finger things. The hotel is wonderful, I hope that in time the staffing helps it to achieve the status of something special.

Everything about the property was great except for the beds. It was one of the worst beds I’ve slept on and gave both my wife and I back pain. Kind of ruined the experience since we left both with back pain.

I hope you’re not in a hurry. You will need to exercise great patience waiting for simple things. The check-in process for some reason took 20 minutes, although we were the only people checking in. The drinks at the bar were delicious, although again wait 15 minutes to get your drink. while napping, I was awakened to ask if I cared for turndown service. No big deal, until 10 minutes later when a different gentleman awakened me again and asked the same question. At the buffet in the morning, they were crowded so a 20 minute wait was totally acceptable, but now I understand why, as it took 20 minutes to get a simple cup of coffee, and the orders for my omelette and French toast were also lost and took 30 minutes. When we checked out, we left our luggage in temporary holding, and when we returned, it took 30 minutes to retrieve the luggage. Overall, the staff was very polite and friendly, but there was absolutely zero sense of urgency to their work

The staff were adamant on getting foreign passports , they should also accept valid ids such as foreign driving licenses. They gave us a very hard time regarding ids. Also i called the room service to clean my room before we head out to a party. No one cleaned anything when i came back. The breakfast was good but overall i had a bad experience. Not staying again.

Impeccable service. A high security VIP was also at the hotel at the time of our stay and additional restrictions were placed on the hotel. But the staff went above and beyond to ensure that none of the guests were inconvenienced and provided excellent service. I was able to make all arrangements for our stay over email well in advance of our arrival. Airport pickup/dropoff and arrangements to tour the city all went to plan and without a hitch. Taj is flag bearer of excellent service and Taj Swarna has more than lived up to that reputation.

Almost excellent. Mainly impressive but let down in a few areas, for example, the service at breakfast was chaotic, cups always in short supply, usually waiting 10 minutes plus for a cup of tea, no sense of urgency or efficiency about the staff. The same criticism of the staff in the bar area. However, the reception staff were excellent, helpful and efficient.

I don’t think I have ever stayed in a hotel where literally every member of staff is so polite and sweet. From the security at the entrance to the reception to the breakfast to the room service staff, nothing ever is too much for them. The service has been very fast and extremely courteous. Can’t fault the property in any way and would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a great hotel in Amritsar.

Convenient location for trips to the city center and the airport. If you like a little adventure, it’s an easy walk from the hotel through some of the bazaars to the Golden Temple. There’s a good sampling of food and drink stops along the way. The Swarna isn’t too different in terms of service level from other Taj hotels we’ve visited, and the menu selection/food quality is very good.

The property is definitely recommended. Its safe and have a big mall right next to it. And walking distance local market. The place is only 15 min away from Golden Temple out of the hustle bustle of city chaos. The staff is so helpful and nice. I am gonna go back here anytime I am in Amritsar next.

We visited from Boston and stayed for one week at Taj Amritsar. The stay at the Taj Amritsar was fantastic. We were met with extremely polite and resourceful staff. They made us feel extremely welcome and always were ready to help at every instance. Included in our stay was daily complimentary breakfast at the buffet which had everything from American dishes to local street food. I can’t stress enough how amazing the staff and hotel was. The room was a deluxe king room that made us feel right at home. Included in the room was a very spacious bathroom, that was replenished daily with razors to shampoo. This is without a doubt one of the best places to stay in Amritsar! Also it’s close to the airport for an easy departure back home!

The property is clean and well maintained. Great food especially the breakfast buffet. Staff was ok room service was efficient. Other were not as efficient. We were told we had a hotel dropoff with our club room. Asked the staff to make sure it was arranged. Two members said was and when it was time to go ot was not. At check in we were told a 1pm check-out was fine again the day of departure they said it was not.

I stayed at this property 3 years ago and how things have changed. This dated property are dining out on the Taj name . Travelling with an infant they lost our baby milk on 2 occasions when asked to be placed in the fridge. They were overwhelmed at breakfast service and food is not what is expected of Taj at those prices. We requested a better fridge and this was promised but never delivered. Will look elsewhere in the future as many more options open now in the city
