Hotel was located just on the edge of the shopping area. Restaurant was advertised as open but is not currently due to ownership changes. Rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable with good sized fridge and appliances. Fireplace a treat in the cold weather.

Access may be an issue as even ground floor from the carpark is a flight of stairs at least and the carpark was difficult to find. Would happily stay again.

Positives - Rooms are pretty with a lovely view, spa on enclosed balcony is fabulous. Gas fireplace available to use. Air con is great. Staff are lovely. Welcoming friendly lovely. Bed comfy . TV great selection of Chanels. Plenty of parking. Close to shops. Balcony doors soundproofed for some noise dampening from roadway. Does offer limited room service/has onsite restaurant (but not open always and wasn't open during our stay). Negatives - noisy - every step taken in room above echos into your room below *thump thump thump most of night from above*. There is no toilet/bathroom door it's a direct walk in, so you can hear/smell all. Blue light (? Wifi point) behind tv lights up room at night time. Bar fridge with no water ? (you have to fill drinking water for empty glass water container from tap in bathroom. Red flag for cross contamination). Suggest providing bottled water as there is no kitchen tap. (Bring bottled water with you if staying here). Onsite restaurant not open all week so food choices are limited unless you're super organised. Negatives not directly related to the accommodation - Shops in walking distance not open at night during week. Dinner places that were open (2 only at time of stay) close fairly early - don't leave dinner til late time wise mid week.

Our room was filthy, we contemplated leaving after the first night. Thick mould all through shower floor grouting, dirty duvet, one of the pillows smelt so bad, stained couch, crumbs in the fridge. The only good thing was the restaurant food.

Ok Apartment, spacious but pretty dated in terms of decor. Blinds totally inadequate in the bedroom at the front of the Apartment, with early morning sun streaming in impacting ability to sleep. WiFi is terrible and pretty much non existent. With mobile coverage also limited, this is an issue.

What we didn't like was that the shower didn't drain properly. The back glass door had a catch missing and did not lock. We reported it and the receptionist matter of factly responded, yes we know about that, it's going to be repaired. Girl on front desk was indifferent (cold) toward us made us wait at least 5 minutes whilst on the phone. These finding may sound hostile but we are not exaggerating. You have a wonderful hotel however, the receptionist needs more training on how to treat customers. She was on the phone when we arrived and made us wait at least 5 minutes while she chatted on the phone. When we checked out, there was no-one at the desk a man came out of the restaurant with a coffee in his hand and asked us if we were checking out and took our keys from us. The hotel cleaners do an immaculate job. The place was spotless.

Manager Donna is fabulous! The room suited my needs very well, unfortunately the microwave didn't work, bit of a pain with a bub. The Wifi was intermittent, & I couldn't get mobile phone service, & the lack of information regarding room service (no information other than "restaurant hours" - no menu for breakfast, delivery times etc) & the restaurant (outside sandwich board has different info to their website) was disappointing & confusing. Access to the room, down a flight of stairs and 4 steps up inside the room was challenging as I have mobility disability, but in fairness to the hotel, I had not mentioned this at booking as it's listed as all-abled access. There are teething issues, but as I said, Donna is great and very willing to make things happy and comfortable for guests.
