Good modern and clean hotel with free parking. It was a bit far from the city center but we had a car so that was not an issue. Room was big and they give you free drinks (juices and water) Unfortunately we could not use the pool area because of the weather that day. Overall a good stay.

The pool is very very disappointing. It feels like a pond which doesn't have water circulating. Not for a 4 star hotel, right. Water needs to be filtered. There is dirt floating on top. The parking maneuvering is hard and prone to mistakes. The room is spacious and very clean, this was the bright spot in the hotel. The breakfast is good expect if you stay for few days because the menu is just all the same. The rest is below average. The bathroom has shower which urgently needs replacing. The staff couldn't understand English very well hence I got what I didn't order.

Die Lage ist sehr schlecht. Weit weg vom Zentrum und die Bussverbindungen sind sehr unregelmässig und unzuverlässlich, Bussen fallen oft aus. In der Nähe vom Hotel gibt es keine Restaurants oder Cafés. Draussen gibt es nur Stau, Abgas, Hitze und Müll auf dem Bürgerstieg. Die Reinigungskräfte im Hotel sind super. Die Putzfrauen waren wirklich freundlich und machen einen guten Job. Und das Zimmer war schön und sauber. Die Personal im Frühstückraum kannten auch nicht nach 7 Tage die Gäste auch wenn es kein grosses Hotel ist. Das Schwimmbecken war sehr klein: ungefähr 7 x 7 Meter.

Stayed for 1 week and the hotel is very clean and staff very amenable. King size double bed was very comfy and nice that the non-alcoholic mini bar was fully topped up each day. The hotel is out of kilter with the surrounding area which is a bit drab, but an excellent place to stay. It is a bit out of the centre so ideal to have a car (although Sicilian driving is a bit of an experience!), and €20 in a taxi, but next street down you can catch the bus (BRT5) for €1 - just be sure to buy your bus tickets from the Tabbacchi shop a couple of minutes up the same road, and buy tickets for return at the same time as not many of those shops are open late on. Underground parking is available on first come first served but there is also a bit of parking out the front or on the roadside, so not an issue. Would definitely recommend a stay here as the buffet breakfast is ample and whilst limited lunch/evening menu, it still suffices if you’re not planning on going out in town to eat. Only things to improve would be have either piped music in the pool area or extend the wi-fi to that area so you can download your own music to portable device. We stayed in room 13 on ground floor which was spacious although there are the early signs if a bit of mould round the shower seals that will soon need to be addressed but other than that cannot speak highly enough of this hotel.

Big clean room with lots of space and room overlooking pool. Nothing much nearby so need car to get out. Pool area nice and breakfast by the pool in the morning is nice. Driving in catania is a bit manic but staff advised us to a car park and centre is lovely.

Lovely hotel and nice big room. Pool area and breakfast were lovely. We realised before booking that the hotel was on the outskirts of town, but even with the help of googlemaps we really struggled to find bars and restaurants unless we missed anything. We caught the bus to/from the train station, which was easy to do!

Bodde här i två nätter i början på en längre resa. Det ligger lite avsides i staden och det finns inte direkt någonting i närheten. Bra med pool till barnen och den kändes fräsch. Rummet var fint och stort! Man fick några flaskor vatten varje dag. Frukosten var sådär. Inte något jätteutbud och rätt tråkigt. Till det priset vi betalade var detta hotell okej. Inte mer eller mindre.

I booked Air One City Hotel in Catania via Hotels.com, entering the ages of the guests (14 and 17). Upon arrival, I was told I had to pay extra for each child because, according to them, the ages they received were wrong – despite having proof from my booking confirmation. The situation was made worse by Camello at reception. He was extremely rude, dismissive, and unwelcoming, leaving me very upset. When Hotels.com tried to call the hotel to resolve the issue, the phone rang repeatedly in front of me, and he refused to answer until I asked. When he finally picked up, he hung up on the agent. We arrived early and were told our bags would be safely stored, but they were left unattended, and we had to carry them ourselves when the room was ready – shocking for a 4-star hotel. The non-smoking room smelled heavily of smoke, the shower was tiny, and cleanliness was poor, though the room was spacious and had a bidet. The door had no full lock, forcing us to push a chair against it for security. This hotel does not provide an iron; you must hand over clothes and pay for ironing. At checkout, staff tried to charge me again for the same extra fee until I showed proof. Parking is limited and not as advertised. The breakfast was good, and the gentleman serving it was polite, but otherwise staff were unprofessional. We became so uncomfortable that we avoided asking for anything. I have never felt so unwelcome at a hotel and could not wait to leave. I would not recommend this hotel!!

We arrived quite late in the evening, greeted with a smile by reception. The room was spotlessly clean, very light and spacious thanks to the huge, balcony doors that opened out on to the swimming pool. The breakfast was first class – great coffee with a broad choice of different fruits, cakes, local cheeses, cold meats, yoghurts etc. There was also a simple cooked breakfast available of scrambled egg, bacon and sliced sausage too. We would definitely recommend the Hotel Airone, where the staff are very warm and friendly, if you are going to Catania in Sicily.

Hotel is gelegen in een uithoek van de stad, waarbij in de naaste omgeving niets te vinden is, enkel een vuile en smerige buurt. 1 maal was de kamer niet gepoetst, dit zou onze eigen schuld zijn omdat we de kaart in de schakelaar hadden gelaten zodat de airco aan bleef. Eerdere dagen was het wel geen probleem. Doordat hierover een opmerking maakten was de kamer de volgende dag slecht gepoetst, vuile glazen bleven staan. De kaart voor de verlichting was verstopt zodat we geen licht hadden. De receptioniste heeft dan maar handmatig de verlichting aangezet. Spijtig dat een poetsvrouw de beoordeling op negatief zet terwijl het ander personeel zeer beleefd en hulpvaardig was.

Airone is a beautifully designed hotel in a great location. The staff (especially Valeria and the young woman with the blue eyes and curly blond hair at reception) were wonderful, patient and helpful. Also the ladies who were making the food were very sweet. All the staff were very nice. My room was a bit dusty when I arrived. Dust on the bedside tables and on the fridge. It wasn't as clean as I would have liked. Some area carpet rugs would be nice to absorb the echoes of the people in the hall. Without the rugs the whole place is quite noisy because of the echoing sounds. The First night I slept very well but the second night a family moved into the room beside me and the kids were very loud until about 12:30pm at night. I wish that families would have their own area in the hotel. I woke up to very loud banging sounds. The room attendant was throwing blankets from a large rolling basket onto the floor in front of a storage closet. I opened my door to express my dismay at the noise. She didn't understand and continued with the noise. I think it would be helpful for the staff to be trained about how to be quiet around the hotel while cleaning. Ei. gently setting down items, not slamming doors when cleaning, not speaking loudly in the halls in the morning when people are sleeping. Less plastic in the rooms. The paper cups are wrapped in plastic. Have pitchers of spring water in the room rather than plastic bottles. Use liquid soap dispenser instead of bars of soap.

Das Hotel ist optimal für Unternehmungen, nah beim Ätna, Taormina, Ancantara-Schlucht etc., Parkplatz immer vorhanden. Die Betten sind super und schlafen konnten wir sehr gut. Uns hat ein Schrank gefehlt ( offene Ablagen) und etwas Platz zum Ablegen im Bad. Ansonsten alles bestens!
Das Hotel ist optimal für Unternehmungen, nah beim Ätna, Taormina, Ancantara-Schlucht etc., Parkplatz immer vorhanden. Die Betten sind super und schlafen konnten wir sehr gut. Uns hat ein Schrank gefehlt ( offene Ablagen) und etwas Platz zum Ablegen im Bad. Ansonsten alles bestens!

We booked 2 superior rooms, we got one at the 1st floor and second of the 2nd floor. very good rooms, big and clean. However, the Internet in both rooms was very poor, disconnected every few minutes, we could not use it. The location of the hotel is great for day tours at cities around with good access to the highway. The pool is relatively small, but nice, the breakfast is good but with no variety. Overall stay was good at reasonable price. We will definitely choose this hotel again if you will be in the area

We did not receive the VIP perk bottle of wine and also during our stay the hotel wifi did not extend to the room that we had booked. So we had to go to reception to check in for our flight, not what I would expect from a '4 star' hotel.

The pool is very very disappointing. It feels like a pond which doesn't have water circulating. Not for a 4 star hotel, right. Water needs to be filtered. There is dirt floating on top. The parking maneuvering is hard and prone to mistakes. The room is spacious and very clean, this was the bright spot in the hotel. The breakfast is good expect if you stay for few days because the menu is just all the same. The rest is below average. The bathroom has shower which urgently needs replacing. The staff couldn't understand English very well hence I got what I didn't order.

Nel complesso una buona struttura. La stanza è spaziosa, il bagno abbastanza comodo, ma per soggiorni più lunghi manca la possibilità di allocare oggetti sotto il lavandino e la doccia è troppo piccola. Nella stanza, non mi piace la testata del letto in tessuto, impossibile igienizzarla ogni volta che la stanza cambia cliente. Il piano della scrivania è rovinato. Needed a clean and convenient place to stay after a day touring Taormina and before flying out the next day. It was PERFECT. Gated lot for parking the rental car and easy access from the highway. Just 15 minutes form the airport. When we got to the hotel staff even helped us order pizza delivery. Would stay here again.

I think the woman on reception needs to consider if the job is for her.. she was not very interested when we arrived.. huffing and puffing and I put it down to it being a late arrival - on leaving, no acknowledgment of us standing waiting which I think std in that role, but took 2( minutes to book out one person and not even an apology.. was clearly again harassed by something - unimpressive for a 4star hotel - the male receptionist was on the contrary very helpful as were all the other staff.. cleaning staff were really lovely and always said good morning.

I booked Air One City Hotel in Catania via Hotels.com, entering the ages of the guests (14 and 17). Upon arrival, I was told I had to pay extra for each child because, according to them, the ages they received were wrong – despite having proof from my booking confirmation. The situation was made worse by Camello at reception. He was extremely rude, dismissive, and unwelcoming, leaving me very upset. When Hotels.com tried to call the hotel to resolve the issue, the phone rang repeatedly in front of me, and he refused to answer until I asked. When he finally picked up, he hung up on the agent. We arrived early and were told our bags would be safely stored, but they were left unattended, and we had to carry them ourselves when the room was ready – shocking for a 4-star hotel. The non-smoking room smelled heavily of smoke, the shower was tiny, and cleanliness was poor, though the room was spacious and had a bidet. The door had no full lock, forcing us to push a chair against it for security. This hotel does not provide an iron; you must hand over clothes and pay for ironing. At checkout, staff tried to charge me again for the same extra fee until I showed proof. Parking is limited and not as advertised. The breakfast was good, and the gentleman serving it was polite, but otherwise staff were unprofessional. We became so uncomfortable that we avoided asking for anything. I have never felt so unwelcome at a hotel and could not wait to leave. I would not recommend this hotel!!

The hotel was clean and modern . Staff were very helpful and friendly particularly , big shout out to Roberto who was extremely helpful , polite and went the extra mile . The buffet breakfast was awesome . The only negative is lack of public transport from hotel though there is the option to use taxi service provided by hotel . Definitely recommend Airone hotel for your stay in Catania.

Good modern and clean hotel with free parking. It was a bit far from the city center but we had a car so that was not an issue. Room was big and they give you free drinks (juices and water) Unfortunately we could not use the pool area because of the weather that day. Overall a good stay.

Stayed for 1 week and the hotel is very clean and staff very amenable. King size double bed was very comfy and nice that the non-alcoholic mini bar was fully topped up each day. The hotel is out of kilter with the surrounding area which is a bit drab, but an excellent place to stay. It is a bit out of the centre so ideal to have a car (although Sicilian driving is a bit of an experience!), and €20 in a taxi, but next street down you can catch the bus (BRT5) for €1 - just be sure to buy your bus tickets from the Tabbacchi shop a couple of minutes up the same road, and buy tickets for return at the same time as not many of those shops are open late on. Underground parking is available on first come first served but there is also a bit of parking out the front or on the roadside, so not an issue. Would definitely recommend a stay here as the buffet breakfast is ample and whilst limited lunch/evening menu, it still suffices if you’re not planning on going out in town to eat. Only things to improve would be have either piped music in the pool area or extend the wi-fi to that area so you can download your own music to portable device. We stayed in room 13 on ground floor which was spacious although there are the early signs if a bit of mould round the shower seals that will soon need to be addressed but other than that cannot speak highly enough of this hotel.

Big clean room with lots of space and room overlooking pool. Nothing much nearby so need car to get out. Pool area nice and breakfast by the pool in the morning is nice. Driving in catania is a bit manic but staff advised us to a car park and centre is lovely.

We realised before booking that the hotel was on the outskirts of town, but even with the help of googlemaps we really struggled to find bars and restaurants unless we missed anything. We caught the bus to/from the train station, which was easy to do!

We arrived quite late in the evening, greeted with a smile by reception. The room was spotlessly clean, very light and spacious thanks to the huge, balcony doors that opened out on to the swimming pool. The breakfast was first class – great coffee with a broad choice of different fruits, cakes, local cheeses, cold meats, yoghurts etc. There was also a simple cooked breakfast available of scrambled egg, bacon and sliced sausage too. We would definitely recommend the Hotel Airone, where the staff are very warm and friendly, if you are going to Catania in Sicily.

Overall the stay was good. However, the staff at reception were not very friendly, hardly acknowledging you as you enter after a day out. The cleaners however were always happy and always said good morning. The breakfast was the same every morning, with only 3 hot dishes to choose from, frankfurter, bacon and scrambled egg. We had a great stay here for 3 nights. The pool area is lovely and the staff were all really helpful and friendly. We didn’t have the breakfast but we had snacks at the pool which were great. The hotel is a little way out of town in a quiet area so it’s around €17 - €22 each way in a taxi inc a tip to get into the centre of town by the elephant statue. There’s a bus stop around 10 mins walk away and a Tabacchio near there to get your bus ticket. I would also recommend you take the hotel up on their helpful offer to arrange your airport transfers as their option is about €10 cheaper than flagging a cab at the airport. For the price of the hotel and the lovely pool it’s worth being a little way out of town.
We had a great stay here for 3 nights. The pool area is lovely and the staff were all really helpful and friendly. We didn’t have the breakfast but we had snacks at the pool which were great. The hotel is a little way out of town in a quiet area so it’s around €17 - €22 each way in a taxi inc a tip to get into the centre of town by the elephant statue. There’s a bus stop around 10 mins walk away and a Tabacchio near there to get your bus ticket. I would also recommend you take the hotel up on their helpful offer to arrange your airport transfers as their option is about €10 cheaper than flagging a cab at the airport. For the price of the hotel and the lovely pool it’s worth being a little way out of town.
