Amazing location, free heated garage parking, beautiful room, the best rooftop hot tub with mountain views. Staff was lovely and so welcoming. Perfect place to stay for a ski trip with other Banff adventures!! Loved walking downtown every day and being able to leave in the car for hiking/skiing without having to defrost or scrape snow.

Overall, my stay was pleasant, but I was disappointed to find that one of the two hot tubs was under renovation. The remaining hot tub was always very crowded and difficult to enjoy. There was no notice about the renovation when I made the reservation, and I think it’s important for guests to be informed ahead of time so expectations are clear.

Bring sandals !!. Normally my go -to choice for Banff but the roof top tiling in dire need of repair. Not one or two loose tiles. Almost all of them are loose creating a tripping hazard and my friend and I pinched our legs more than once sitting poolside.

Great rooms, spacious and well laid out. Super friendly and helpful staff. Food was ok, and hot tub area was under construction (tho still open). Very convenient, central location for shops. Strongly recommend.

We absolutely LOVE the Moose. The location, the rooms, the robes, the skin care products, the people. The larger hot tub on the roof was closed during our visit and the containment blocks some of the view (I wish they had boarded it up but… lower, but who knows what’s behind that barrier). They were very apologetic and we really enjoyed the hot tub that was open, the pool, and the fire pit.

I assumed this was a 4-5 star hotel due to the high $ premium ($ 800.00 plus / night) . This is a 2-3 star Hotel (at best) rooms were filthy - only bright spot - wonderful front counter staff

Very clean and neat hotel, close to everything. It has a cozy lobby with a fireplace, beautiful interior yard and it is close to downtown. We stayed with children, and the staff was very helpful and accommodating to our demands. Will definitely stay again.

Upon our arrival my son’s bed (double beds room had a hair tables in it under she sheets. Our shower had two hairs in it and nobody had showered yet. The shower floors definitely need an upgrade.

Check-in was just ok not friendly .Our room was on the first floor which I did not like felt like a basement the patio was cut into the wall and very overlooked by next door hotel we felt they were always looking down on us and I like the daylight not having to close the blinds all the time The heating did not work to well either very hot or cold air .i was so looking forward to this hotel so very disappointed I have waited a long time to go to Banff and I though this hotel would be special by the how it is portrayed It was a celebration of my 77 th birthday

Room was delightful with a King suite over looking the mountain at the back of the property. As a tea drinker I loved that there was a kettle in the room! Lots of towels, bed was comfortable and hot water was never ending. Staff was super helpful with things to do and places to go both within walking and short drives away. The property has a very resort feel, Canadian style. Eh!

The location of the hotel is excellent. Amenities are lacking. The outdoor pool is so, so. There is no coffee available before 7am and you have to leave early for some of the more popular sites. The room coffee makers are cheap, old and not clean. There is one water bottle filler on an upper floor. It wouldn't take much to set up a coffee and water station in the lobby. The rooms are dated, but clean. This hotel is overpriced.

The only one con we had was that our room had an air conditioner unit right next to the bed at bed height so the person sleeping next to it was getting cold air blown to their face while sleeping so we had to turn it down but then the rest of us were hot.

Overall pretty good, but not great. The bedroom and living room in our suite were smaller than I expected for the price paid. The water temperature in the shower fluctuated between hot and cold, which was uncomfortable. We had booked a Deluxe King Suite. When we checked in I was offered the "opportunity" to upgrade our room to a mountain view on the 4th floor. When I asked what the price difference would be I was told that it was an extra $250 per night, but that they had a way to offer it to me for only $150 a night more. I felt like I was buying a used car. The price is the price. Don't play games. If you can give me the upgrade for $150 a night extra, don't tell me it's $250 but you can offer me a "special" deal. We will likely stay somewhere else next time.

The Moose Hotel was lovely. The location was excellent, the underground free parking was appreciated and the front desk staff was sensational. The first room we were given was clean but horrible. It was tiny and dark; it was ground level and the small window looked into a court yard but the window actually looked directly into a pillar so you saw nothing and no light came in. Right after entering the room I went back to the front desk and decided to pay a bit more to get a second floor room. It was a one bedroom and looked into the courtyard but the view was totally open so very bright. Everything about the hotel was lovely but for the price I did expect a bit swankier. Overall, a nice night away and a good hotel. I’d recommend inquiring very specifically about what floor you’re on and what is outside your window so you’re not disappointed. Excellent front and staff that did make the room upgrade easy to do.

We needed to check out one day early because of bad weather the following day when we were going to be travelling. They cancelled our second night with no charge, no questions asked. Very surprised and impressed that they did that for us. Will stay here whenever we are in Banff.

We had a problem with the HVAC that was quickly investigated by the hotel and resulted in them moving us to a new room with a better view within an hour of reporting our concerns. We really appreciate this exceptional level of customer service!

We were meant to stay at the Moose for a single night while in town seeing Aysanabee. My car broke down half way between Calgary and Banff and we were stranded waiting for a tow truck to take us back to Calgary. Even though I was well past the cancellation window, I called the hotel to see if there was anything they could do. I spoke with Elliot at the front desk and his first question was “are you safe?”. What an angel. From there he said he would speak to his manager and see what he could do. We were meant to stay at the Moose for a single night while in town seeing Aysanabee. My car broke down half way between Calgary and Banff and we were stranded waiting for a tow truck to take us back to Calgary. Even though I was well past the cancellation window, I called the hotel to see if there was anything they could do. I spoke with Elliot at the front desk and his first question was “are you safe?”. What an angel. From there he said he would speak to his manager and see what he could do. The front desk staff really went above and beyond . We loved the room and the fireplace that you could set the timer too. The amenities also made it feel like a luxurious stay. It was also a great location downtown and had two options for the ski bus.

Amazing location, free heated garage parking, beautiful room, the best rooftop hot tub with mountain views. Staff was lovely and so welcoming. Perfect place to stay for a ski trip with other Banff adventures!! Loved walking downtown every day and being able to leave in the car for hiking/skiing without having to defrost or scrape snow.

This hotel was great! From check in to departure, the staff were friendly and helpful. They offered to upgrade our room, just because. The rooms were very nice, clean and comfy. The area around the hotel was nice and there is plenty to do within walking distance.The only negative thing I would mention related to the property is that I would never eat at the restaurant connected with the hotel again. When we arrived, they put us at a table at the entry that had two floor vents shooting cold air ip at us. It was so frigid that I asked to be moved. They moved us next to a couple who they had just done the same thing to before us. They say they have an unlimited bread bad- total joke. It is literally loaf bread only and this is an Italian restaurant. When we got our meals, they were terrible. My chicken parm was completely dry. My husband ordered spaghetti which he loves but it was so nasty that he wouldn’t finish it and he rarely ever doesn’t finish food. The people next to us also had issues with their food.

The whole idea of a bread bar where patrons have to toast their own toast is ridiculous For a hotel that costs as much as that hotel to stay in. Toast should be made in the kitchen and should be available to patrons when they order toast. Also, drinks would come filled with ice so that the actual drink was very small. This happened more than on one occasion. During our stay of three nights, the insufficiencies of the restaurant were a reoccurring Thing. Also serve real butter rather than margarine. Super helpful we were able to get a room and got checked in early so our little two little toddlers could nap. Staff were all friendly and nice. Room was clean and clean enough to feel safe for my 2 kids which is a good thing. Swimming pool was super nice but not heated so it got a bit cold at 7-8pm when we tried to have the kids play a little after a long day outside and before bedtime . The hot tubs were so nice looking out the mountain views and really quiet and cozy looking at night time. Kinda sad we were not able to sit in there for a bit because of the kids. Highly recommend this hotel for the hot tubs and views. The location is pretty convenient as well you can walk straight down to the downtown Banff area and there are too many shuttle stops for destination/visit sites of your choice. The plus point is the hotel provides free ROAM shuttle bus passes for 3 days so you can take different shuttle routes to different visit sites, which is really nice. We would definitely stay at Moose again if going back to Banff in the future.

We stayed 3 nights, left for a night in Jasper, and then returned for 3 more nights. I started writing a glowing review after our first stay but didn’t get a chance to finish. Now I’m glad that I waited, since my initial review would have been incomplete and possibly misleading. As much as we were impressed by our first stay, we were equally unimpressed by our second. On our first stay we upgraded at check-in to a Premium Suite on the 4th floor of the hotel. The room was spacious, airy and clean. Everyone we encountered was very friendly and helpful. The pool, gym, and hot tubs were nice, and we had a very comfortable stay. Unfortunately, what a difference a day makes. Returning to the hotel today, there were no upgrades available. We were booked into a Superior One Bedroom Suite, so we assumed it would be fine. The suite we were given on the 2nd floor smelled damp with a faint odor of pets. The dresser had such a strong odor that we couldn’t even unpack our clothes. The small deck was filthy with bird dropping covering the chairs.

This hotel is located in an excellent position for main st Banff and is well worth considering. My only criticism was that the room allocated was on the ground floor and didn't receive any natural sunlight. This mean we had to have lights on at all times and made the room a little depressing.
