The breakfast was very sparse at the end of the time frame…like nothing in the fridge and nothing in the warmers and the pancake maker was out of order. The outdoor pool was very nice! Our last Holiday Inn Express and Suites in Salinas was so eco-friendly! And, the Salinas breakfast was a well-oiled machine! Breakfast staff cleaned tables and took out full trash. This didn’t happen in Visalia. Recycling in the Salinas room - love it. Hopefully Visalia can take note of the recycling option.

Great customer service. Very nice staff. Beds were comfortable enough and the temperature was easily adjustable. Lobby was clean and smelled really good when you walked in. However, one of the 2 elevators was broken, and the one that did work was having issues as well. The ice maker on the 4th floor didn’t work, so I had to go to the second floor to the only working one, using the slow and sometimes sketchy elevator. Breakfast was so-so and they had trouble keeping up with stocking the items. Carpets were pretty worn down and stained.

Very helpful friendly staff . Rooms so clean great pool easy parking and tasty breakfast. Only Downside is are the computers are really old in the lobby so won’t work for anything other than browsing. We loved our stay!

I’ve stayed here in the past and thought it was a great value . Parking, breakfast , newish hotel. Went back, it has significantly declined on all fronts. Staff still very friendly but that’s where it ends. Really dirty throughout, perpetually sticky floors, stained furniture- just gross. Cheap and dirty

Once you walk into the lobby, a strong, pungent odor welcomes you in. The lobby carpet and couches are badly stained, carrying through the elevator. The room is no better either. The carpeting has stains everywhere, and the bathroom has stain marks on the walls and the bathroom door. The complementary breakfast selection was more of a continental breakfast - most are preheated. Once again, the cleanliness in this place is not a priority. Tables were not wiped, and trash cans were overflowing with garbage. The workers were busy talking in the back room rather than keeping up with the dirty tables, filling up empty food containers, emptying the filled trash cans, or mopping the sticky floors.

I like that the hotel was at the end of the street with a gate & security on patrol in the parking lot so I felt my car would be secure. The woman who checked me in at the front desk originally was kind. The room door also had 3 locks & the key card will not unlock the door if they’re latched which helped me feel safer, but the room I got hadn’t been cleaned thoroughly if at all before I checked in. I am one to clean & disinfect surfaces myself when traveling as soon as I arrive so I don’t mind a little dust here or the but the room appeared as if someone just checked out & there was no housekeeping in between besides maybe changing the towels.There was a brown stain on the toilet seat & light urine streaks running down.The shower head was almost detached from the wall held on by broken caulking & there was visible mildew in the sink & in the mounted shower shampoo racks. There were light mascara stains on the pillows already as if the bed hadn’t been turned & beer caps under the bed. There was visible dust build up on the phone & alarm clock as well which was disappointing as we elected to stay here after reading their commitment to clean policy & were traveling for a hospital visit so being in a clean environment was important to us. We elected not to stay for our second night & the people at the front desk weren’t helpful in cancelling not rude or anything but unhelpful; expedia customer service was very kind & helped cancel the additional night no problem.

This particular room had a door adjoining to the neighboring room, locked of course, but it was not sealed at the bottom and we heard EVERY WORD the people in the adjoining room spoke…all night long! Not quiet enough, otherwise great facility

Staff was friendly and helpful. Our request to have our room be next do our fellow travelers was honored in a prompt and courteous manner. The room and property were very clean and modern. Only problem was the king bed had a huge dip (more like a crater) on one side, making it impractical to sleep on that side. Too late and too tired to request a room change. We let them know at checkout of the problem. Not sure how this was not known. All in all, a very good stay and we highly recommend this location.

King bed very lumpy and dipped in the middle. Sounded like something inside of it was moving around and hitting something every time I moved even a little. Slept VERY little. Everything else was good but the bed is everything. You have to have good beds.

This hotel is in despair. Broken elevators to broken showers. Check in staff was amazing but the night shift staff was terrible and did not have any control of the situation. I was definitely not the only one who have concerns. Others in lobby waited a long time for answers.

Room is spacious. Bed looks clean. We forgot to bring our toothbrushes and according to the sign, they’d provide them upon request. We went to the front desk to request it. The front desk receptionist (on duty at 9pm on 4/4) said that she couldn’t find any at the front desk and would ask housekeeper to get them and bring them up to us. We’ve waited for 1/2 hour with no show. I called down again and the front desk staff informed us that they were out of stock!! How irresponsible that they didn’t even care to give us a call to let us know. We checked immediately and found that Walgreen still opens but will close in 15 mins. If we waited for another 15 min, we’d have to brush our teeth with our fingers tonight and tomorrow!

AFTER.....they booked us in and charged our card, THEN they told us there would be NO WATER all day the next day. They did not offer to cancel or rebook us elsewhere, NOTHING, until I requested they cancel our whole booking. I was taking a chance of not finding anything else, but we had a graduation the next day and without water, pretty hard to shower and get ready. VERY POOR customer relations even if they counldn't help the water issue, it should clearly be disclosed before I got there or at least before I checked-in.

Checked in on Wednesday and checked out on Sunday, not once was my room serviced, cleaned, replenished. Every night after a long day of hiking, I would have to call down to the front desk to get towels/trash taken out/replenish items etc. I would be told my room would be serviced the next day, but every evening when I returned, my room was not cleaned. The last two days I was given pool towels because no bath towels were available by the end of the evening when I returned from hiking. I have never encountered this problem.

We stayed for just one night, and it was a great experience. The room was clean, spacious, and the bed was comfortable. I will definitely stay here again if I visit Sequoia National Park in the future. It’s about a 50-minute drive to the park, but it doesn’t feel long because you can enjoy the beautiful views along the way. This area has many more restaurants to choose from than Three Rivers, and after a day at the park, I appreciate being able to end my day with a delicious meal.

Overnight stay between Kings Canyon and Sequoia national park visit. Location of the hotel was very good. Close to shopping and nearby places to eat. It was close to freeway, but did not hear any noise inside. Breakfast was simple but it did the job for the morning. Check in manager was very friendly.

Stayed as part of family trip to Sequoia National Park. Rooms were clean and check in was easy but the beds are not very comfortable. Elevators break down ALOT! Breakfast buffet style was tasty with eggs, biscuits and gravy, sausage, etc but they run out early (we arrived 8 a.m.) and it takes 20 minutes in between for refills for everything including oatmeal. No Orange juice. No fresh fruit. This place hangs onto the deposit for five days. So. Probably wont stay again.

The facility is newly decorated and very attractive. The front desk staff member was very friendly and answered all of my questions about directions to Sequoia NP. We always enjoy the breakfast at Holiday Inn Express, but on Sunday we came down just before 9am and after filling our bowls with cereal and oatmeal, we discovered there was no milk or yogurt. The breakfast room staff apologized but with an hour left for breakfast, there should have been milk of some kind available.

The front desk staff was very pleasant and helpful! The room was nice, clean and comfortable. There wasn't a tv remote, but we went old school and just used the buttons on the tv. Sadly the breakfast was not very good. The scrambled eggs were dry with old and new batches mixed together. The sausage patties were also very dry and the juice watered down.

overall from the exterior, it looked clean, but the housekeeper was asked for toilet paper and she brought one roll and she never asked if I needed towels or anything else. The continental breakfast is all frozen food. Someone spilled coffee and it was left there for about two hours. The tables are dirty. I normally stay at Holiday Inn expresses, but this one was probably the dumpiest.
