Great pool

I booked this hotel and read the reviews afterwards, I was then worried as people had rated it very poorly. Having now stayed there I am astonished at the things they wrote, this is a lovely, clean, comfortable hotel with easy access to the centre of Berlin but quiet to sleep there away from the city bustle. It has a sauna, swimming pool and car park facility. A short 6min walk to a convenience store and bus and train station. If I had to criticise it's just that there is no lunch or real snack facilities within the hotel. However the staff are very helpful and even offered to store snacks and soda or beer for us in their fridges. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Een oase in de drukke warme stad was het! Super vriendelijk en hulpvaardig personeel. Het binnenzwembad was zeer schoon en netjes. Kleine sauna en stoombad aanwezig en 3 fitness apparaten. Alles was heel schoon en goed georganiseerd. Het ontbijt was een beetje prijzig dus hebben we maar 1 dag gedaan. Alles was wel lekker en vers. Ik vond het bed een beetje hard, maar mijn zoon had daar geen last van dus wellicht persoonlijke voorkeur. Overall hebben we een zalig verblijf gehad en zou zo weer voor hetzelfde hotel kiezen voor de sfeer, rust, service, relaxte personeel en ook de buurt. Wie weet tot ziens! Veel dank!!

My partner and I recently stayed at The Yard Hotel for three nights, and unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. The main reason for choosing this hotel was its advertised spa facilities, but upon arrival, I was informed that the sauna and pool were out of service. There was no prior communication about this, which felt very misleading. Adding to the frustration, the staff at check-in were unhelpful and unfriendly when I raised the issue. Instead of offering solutions or even an apology, they dismissed my concerns, which made me feel unwelcome and undervalued as a guest. While the hotel itself may have some nice features, the lack of transparency and poor customer service left me regretting my choice to stay here. If spa facilities or attentive service are important to you, I’d recommend considering other options.

The staff is always helpful and kind— Nadine, Andreas, Roan, stefan, and the italian lady at breakfast. Very clean facility and the pool and sauna is very relaxing to a tired day.The garden is nice when there are no smokers, and it’s a quiet area. A few improvements can be made: -the mattress is too firm - the floors need soundproofing, i can hear footsteps all the time above me. -the wifi is not strong. Video calls are difficult.

Modern, new hotel. Minimal design, large, spacious rooms. In a decent location. My experience was a mixed bag because the a/c in my room stopped working, and the fact that there was no WiFi available in the rooms made it impossible to work. There is a workspace area, but would be nice to work in the privacy of your own space. Pool is nice, gym is just a room with a treadmill. For the price I’m paying, I expect there to be more value, which I found not be the case because of the aforementioned problems with the ac and WiFi. Not sure if I’ll come back here. I think there’s plenty more hotels in Berlin where you could get a better bang for your buck.

Large room, furnishings and decor in Scandi style. Disappointing that pool and spa, both prominently advertised on the website, were closed. Overall, though, a clean, quiet, well serviced, well appointed and well positioned hotel.

Fina rum som är välplanerade. Bra WC och dusch. Minus för att bastu och pool var avstängda och hade varit sedan april - vi var där i september. Mycket dåligt informerat och borde stått tydligare. Hade vi vetat hade vi valt annat hotell

Einige Punkte haben mich zu der Entscheidung gebracht, dieses Hotel in Zukunft nicht erneut zu buchen. Mir ist dabei bewusst, dass sich das subjektive Empfinden von Person zu Person durchaus unterscheiden kann und dass man sowohl beim Preissegment als auch der Lage nicht mit einem Luxushotel rechnen darf. Am meisten hat mich die Dusche gestört, da diese offensichtlich defekt war und der Duschkopf mit zugehöriger Stange von der Armatur geschraubt wurde. Die ebenfalls vorhandene Handbrause konnte somit nirgends befestigt werden und musste die ganze Zeit in der Hand gehalten werden. Hierbei habe ich mich gefragt ob man nicht das Zimmer bis zur abgeschlossenen Reparatur einfach sperren könnte, zumal das Hotel nicht ausgebucht war. Einige Silikonfugen wiesen außerdem Schimmel auf (Bild). Außerdem sind mir negativ aufgefallen: - T-Papierrollenhalter war locker - Türstopper halb aus der Wand gebrochen - Verdreckte Badinnentüre sowie welliger und vergilbter Informationsaufkleber auf dieser - Klimaanlagensteuerung defekt - Für die Qualität des angebotenen Frühstücks kamen mir 20€ etwas viel vor - Zimmerservice abends um halb sieben, einen Tag vor Abreise (wird nur alle 2 Tage gereinigt, Aufenthalt 3 Nächte) Positiv: - Klo nochmal durch Tür vom Bad getrennt - Bad mit Handtuchheizung - Rituals-Produkte - Snacktütchen, Kaffeemaschine, Wasser Als Vergleich habe ich ein preislich identisches Hotel wenige Straßen weiter, in dem ich letzte Woche war.

The hotel advertises itself on Expedia as having a restaurant, bar and a bistro. Those have been closed and no longer available. Staff told me that the hotel has a new owner. Minimalist would have loved the room. The room was clean but limited on everything needed for a couple. I had to ask the front desk for extra towels. One coffee cup. One set of towels. The room had a coffee maker, but only provided two capsules of coffee. No stirs and only small bottle of water. The sitting area was basically a strange pullout single bed. There was only one plastic desk chair. The floors in the room were dirty. When I asked for the room to be cleaned in our two day stay we were informed only guests staying three days would get their rooms cleaned. So we didn’t really enjoy our stay. The rating of 8.8 may have existed under the former owners, but we rated the stay as poor at best.

Frühstück nur mit Aufpreis möglich - kleine Auswahl. Zimmerreinigung nur alle 3 Tage. WC Papier und Kaffeekapseln musste immer nachgefragt werden. Lage solala.

The design and architecture of the hotel, with large windows overlooking at the indoor terrasse/garden, combine with warm beige tones and plants made the stay very welcoming and a better experience than other hotel. Room were clean but dust on the floor near the bed and mould in the corner of the shower was a disappointing experience. Notheless, the rain shower feature, the brightness of the room and the comfy overall made our stay great.

wir möchten uns für den Aufenthalt in Ihrem Haus bedanken. Leider gab es einige Punkte, die unseren Eindruck etwas getrübt haben und die wir Ihnen gerne mitteilen möchten. Zum einen wurden uns am Ende zusätzliche City-Tax-Gebühren in Höhe von 15 € für zwei Personen berechnet, was uns im Vorfeld nicht ausreichend kommuniziert wurde. Eine frühere Information dazu wäre hilfreich gewesen. Zum anderen haben wir in unserem Zimmer Spinnennetze an den Wänden entdeckt, was auf eine unzureichende Reinigung hinweist. Das war für uns leider unangenehm.

My Partner and I stayed here for a few days during the mid to late summer. We were very jet lagged from an early flight and the hotel staff was very accommodating and helped us check into our room early. They spoke English and German fluently. The room was very clean and minimal, but comfortable. We had to walk maybe 5-10 minutes in any direction to find more restaurants and access the U-bahn. We realized we were a few minutes from the Berlin/Deustche Jewish Museum and decided to visit. This is overall a lovely hotel with a good staff in a walkable location to get where you want to visit in Berlin. One thing to note, the WiFi may not connect well on upper floors, so plan ahead if you are an international traveler.

I have stayed at this hotel many times over the years. It is now under new management and is much worse. The WiFi was nonexistent in my room. I complained to the front desk and they never fixed it. Also, I was in a dead zone for my cellular service, so I had no internet at all. In addition, they now charge you for use of their pool. Very disappointed! I don’t recommend.

Først det gode: personalet var flinke, værelset virkede ret nyt, værelset havde en god størrelse, incheckning gik stærkt. Ulemper: Den største ulempe var at der ikke er nogen topmadras. Sengen er ret hård, og jeg kan ellers godt lide en hård seng, men endnu værre, så er der en revne i midten, og det er ikke fedt når man ligger to. En dobbelt topmadras havde gjort underværker. Derudover var der ingen vaskeklude på badeværelset, og håndklæderne var ret små. Housekeeping fungerede ikke ret godt: første dag tog de vores nøglekort med, og efterlod skrald på bordet i badeværelset. Anden dag kom de slet ikke, selvom vi havde sat et skilt på døren med “make my room”. Alt i alt virker det til at de havde for travlt. Til den pris vil jeg forvente mere. Jeg ville nok desværre ikke komme igen.

The air conditioner wasn't working in our room, but the front desk was quick to respond and tried to fix and reboot the unit. When that didn't do the trick, he immediately gave us a new room and solved the problem! We're so grateful as it was very warm during our stay. The pros: beautiful and spacious room with the most comfortable beds and pillows! Nice shower. The cons: This hotel is too out of the way for most of the main attractions in Berlin. Other than the Jewish Museum, there isn't much to do in the area. The towels are old and worn and barely any toiletries are provided. I would probably choose a more central hotel next time!

I will never book at Hotel The Yard again. The WiFi was not working, but I wasn't informed of this until I had already checked in, arrived in my room and called down to the desk. The staff explained that they were waiting for some necessary piece of equipment, but no one seemed to be actively working to solve this problem in the three days that I was booked at the hotel. That is unacceptable where I come from (California)! Many people book a hotel room with the expectation that they will be able to work remotely while there (especially in the wake of the pandemic). WiFi has approached the status of a utility. You wouldn't rent a hotel room without electricity or water; why would you rent one without WiFi?

Nice and clean in a quite part of town. But i had a lot of problens with the AC at around 20-21 thw AC in the room went up to 24.5 the staff arrange another room for the night but the problem kept returning. Staff was really nice and tried to help 🙂

Andreas on reception is absolutely amazing and went over and above the call of duty .

The hotel in itself (room, lobby, pool) is clean and looks pretty good. The front desk service was friendly and thorough, especially in the evening. This said, the morning staff was less welcoming and not very flexible… This proved to be a minus until the last morning when we had to speed up breakfast and check-out and felt we were in the way rather than guests.

I contacted the hotel about the possibility of an early check in. The response said that they would if they could. We arrived 1 and a half hours before check in and were told that our room was ready. Only at that point, they asked for €50 for the privilege. Rubbish profiteering. At least be up front about it. The hotel was fine other than that.

Very bad service, Due to the closure of the pool, they offered complimentary breakfast- by word, After checking out they insisted that we had to pay 27 eur, per person for breakfast, We asked to speak with the manager, The manager was extremely rude and insisted that we had to pay, because they have disclaimed that the pool was closed. But they still offered complementary, They broke a verbal, legally binding contract and treated us with extremely disrespect, The staff told us it was complimentary, But it was apparently a mistake. According to the manager, In general the situation by the manager was handled so rude. I have not experienced this bad service any where else. Will never stay there again, and will not recommend.

Fantastic hotel, amazingly clean, spacious and friendly staff. Great pool to use at leisure. Convenient location between 2 metros 15min from city centre. Kreuzberg area is a bit dirty, but no reflection on hotel itself is luxurious and extremely comfortable. Beds cosy, air con works well, flat screen tv and nice view over balconies. Highly recommend

A estrutura nos atendeu muito bem, cama confortável e estética do hotel bastante agradável, com equipe sempre muito atenciosa. O hotel fica a alguns minutos de caminhada de três estações de transporte público, o que facilita bastante durante o deslocamento pela cidade, também encontramos opções de mercados e cafés a poucos minutos de distância. Nos atendeu muito bem durante a estadia em Berlim.

Location of property is not convenient to restaurants, only a pizza place (hotel does have a small breakfast restaurant). When I asked front desk about walking in area…he said not all areas are safe but did not elaborate or suggest areas to avoid. Due to location, I wouldn’t stay or recommend.

Really nice big rooms, good shower, very comfortable beds. Quiet area so no disturbances at night. Breakfast was a little limited, but all v nice quality. The location is slightly out of the way, not quite hipster Kreuzberg. All cafes etc are a good 10-15 min walk away, and the metro station is also 10 mins. Nicest thing we did locally was an evening walk along the canal side up to Admiral Bridge, where there were huge numbers of locals sitting along the bridge and river bank, having picnics, sharing drinks and listening to music.

Good location between two metro stops. Nice facilities and spacious rooms. Neighborhood is safe in spite of graffiti and trash (seems to be an issue in the whole eastern sector of Berlin). Staff was very accommodating and pleasant.

Perfect find, lovely new Hotel with courteous, friendly and knowledgeable staff. We needed restaurant recommendation and the suggestion of Jafo was spot on. 10 minute walk from hotel. Otherwise, the neighborhood is a bit rundown with lots of trash and neglected public parks. There is a canal nearby with a restaurant ship.

Lovely room. Great shower. Nice sauna and pool. Be aware that there are few facilities in the immediate area and that there is a 10 min walk to the tube. Near the tube there is an excellent pizza place - neon cat sign and a lovely cafe Madame?? Although not classy they are full of locals and the food and drink are good. Head to Hallesches Tor. Hotel location very easy to get in and out of Berlin central and all main attractions.

Lovely hotel, all staff very polite. When booking we did notnknow there was no access to gym facilities or pool or there was no evening meals in the hotel. It would have been nice if these were available. But regardless we would definitely stay again even without those facilities. Thank you

Well located. Easy walk to the metro rail. Staff was friendly. Somehow unorganized. They offer breakfast for 22 euros. Better walk to a near by cafe and save the money. Room was decent. The AC didn't cool enough.

bis auf ein Entscheidendes Problem OK. Das nicht Explizite darauf hingewiesen wird ohne Buchung einen Tag vorher kein Frühstück!!!!! Hätte meine Buchung NIE stattgefunden. das von den Verantwortlichen noch nicht einmal der Versuch in Betracht gezogen wurde eine Lösung zu finden hatte meine Sofortige Abreise zur Folge. In Berlin sind genug Hotels die überhaupt kein Problem damit haben!!!
