I got the impression from the check-in clerk (when checking in early before the room was ready) that I could go and enjoy a complimentary breakfast in the breakfast lounge downstairs from the check-in area. Realizing after the meal that it was not complimentary and in fact quite expensive.

Hotel is minimalistic but a bit cold/sterile and has a bit odd layout. Nice bright room with good view, but bad airconditioning and some noise at night. Large, nice and bright bathroom. Nice infinity pool. Service is ok but not great, breakfast can take time because of many misunderstandings. Just an elevator to get to exclusive shopping and close to BTS station. No welcome drinks, no champagne or fruits/cakes at room. No free drinks/sodas. Great gym. Bad wifi at pool. Great breakfast. Nice grill and bar at the top. In total not as good as Siam Kempinsky at same price, mainly because of the service.

Breakfast was very under par. Quality of food being served was very low on taste and quality both. You expect a Park Hyatt to give you a far better breakfast experience. This was like a 3* hotel breakfast experience. The bakery was very bad and poor quality stuff. Fruits served was below par. Expected a much better variety and quality. Overall Breakfast was very very poor.

We first stayed at the Park Hyatt shortly after it opened and left with wonderful memories, so returning felt like a natural choice. This time around, however, the experience wasn't quite as polished. Attention to detail has slipped in certain areas, and some parts of the property are in need of maintenance, small things, perhaps, but noticeable to guests who care about their surroundings. We appreciate that hotels operate under constant pressure with a continuous flow of arrivals and departures, and we say this not to cause a stir but because we hold this property to a high standard, one it has met before. It was disappointing that a couple of members of management seemed to receive our feedback defensively rather than constructively. Feedback from returning guests who pay close attention to detail is genuinely valuable, and we hope it's taken in the spirit it was intended. That said, we want to end on a very positive note, because the people truly made this stay. Pauline, Chaa, Net, and Billy were absolutely outstanding, warm, attentive, and consistently professional. They understood our needs without us having to repeat ourselves, and made us feel genuinely welcomed. They are a real credit to the Park Hyatt team.
