Stay was very good. Warm comfortable room. Only slight problem we had is that we hadn’t realized there were no elevators/or that the rooms were upstairs. We know it’s an old building it would just have been good to know rooms were upstairs as my wife is recovering from a broken ankle. Also didn’t want to haul cases up there so ended up leaving them in the car which wasn’t on site. Apart from that great stay

A great location for Warwick castle and the town centre although disappointed that there was no on-site parking. This was a short walk away at the racecourse (free) but this was not made clear at time of booking. Staff member who checked us in wasn't very welcoming ... a bit abrupt. Room was lovely ... comfy beds and spotlessly clean. Nice touches such as water and toiletries. Had to ask for more tea and coffee, though. Coffee machine was a bit of a faff. TV a bit useless as only one person in the twin room we had could watch it at a time ... not that we used it. Gorgeous bathroom with a powerful shower but it did flood the whole bathroom! We had lunch on arrival which was delicious and breakfast was very good indeed.

Easy parking in nearby racecourse is excellent. The hotel is clean and breakfast is good. The only challenge for 2nd floor guest is there is no lift available.

Great traditional hotel with lovely rooms and bar , dining area , spacious relaxed garden out the back.Great location for racecourse, and only a small walk into town 😀 Staff really helpful and friendly .The young Lady Jordan checked us in and made our arrival very welcoming with all the advice needed. Would definitely recommend this hotel . Look forward to staying again in the future.

Friendly and welcoming, our courtyard room had direct access to the garden area at the rear of the pub/hotel, with its own bistro table by the door which is a nice touch as I imagine the garden can get very busy. The hotel is clearly very popular, it offers good food including a cooked-to-order breakfast. Highly recommended

Friendly staff, very accommodating. We arrived late, they made sure they had a table for us for dinner, and showed us where to park (no parking at the hotel, but they can give you a pass for the horse race track parking 5 minute walk and you can park all day for free). Truly feels like a small British hotel...lots of charm, great food and wonderful people.

The hotel was a great find. Lovely room and fantastic breakfast. It's a 10 minute walk from Warwick Castle and has free, all day parking, so you can visit the castle with ease.

Really great property. The staff are all friendly and helpful, Check-in was strictly 3pm, but they happily stored our bags and then transferred them to our room. The room was updated and comfortable, and the configuration meant it was off street and quiet. The pub is lovely and we can recommend reserving for dinner as the food was great (same kitchen for breakfast, which was also good). If the lack of on-site parking is a concern, know that the parking they give a pass to is only a 2 minute walk and secured with a gate. All in all a great stay. Definitely recommend it for a visit to Warwick.

Good hotel, nice spacious dining and outdoor patio options. Great breakfast and restaurant with fun specials and options, with full bar/Pub. Parking was slightly complicated, but too difficult. The only issue we had was toilet had something wrong with mechanical part of plumbing and did not consistently flush.

Clean and tidy rooms that were maintained every day. Breakfast was plentiful and great quality, with lots of choice. The pub/bar was cozy with plenty of choice of drinks. All the staff were friendly and chatty.

The room was very clean. The staff were ever so helpful. Good location, pretty much over the road from Warwick Castle. The food in the restaurant was absolutely delicious. The chicken liver brulee will forever stay in my top favourite dishes of all time

Room was fine - hot becuase it was on the top floor. Restaurant was lovely. The bathroom was cramped and the shower gets the whole floor wet. Overall not a bad stay.

Spent 2 nights at the Old Fourpenny Hotel which is conveniently located for Warwick town centre and the castle. We enjoyed our stay here, the room was large, and well equiped with 2 Queen size beds and a good quality coffee/tea machine. Very good breakfast with lots of choice.

Had a wonderful stay. We wanted to experience having a room over a pub and we certainly accomplished that!! The room was small but great!! It had all the amenities we required. No complaints.

Traveled with our 6 year old. Hotel room was perfect and super cute. Double bed with a little area with a twin size bed. The staff were great! Highlight of Warwick for our daughter was def all the dogs she got to meet! The back garden area was great and perfect for drinks after touring the castle.

My husband and I stayed two nights. We throughly enjoyed our stay. Our room was on the small side but was very clean and comfortable. We had breakfast both mornings and dinner twice. All meals were delicious. The staff was friendly and welcoming. A lot of locals there for dinner and drinks. Everything you would expect from an English Inn!

We only had an overnight stay in Warwick, but the Fourpenny was a really great choice. Room was spacious, with quality bedding and lovely warm shower. Very clean and obviously well looked after. Good wifi throughout the property. Short walk to pubs, restaurants, cafes, of eat at the Fourpenny. Free parking a short walk away. Staff very friendly and showed us to our room and explained the parking comprehensively - much appreciated. Breakfast was delicious and offering was cooked breakfast as well as cereals etc. Highly recommend for a stay in Warwick.

Upon arrival the staff were helpful and friendly, the hotel has a nice cozy feel, great aesthetics. The room was clean, huge bath and shower in the Luxury double. All the facilities you could ask for. Added bonus, two beautiful dogs that were roaming in the hotel to welcome you. Great stay and id highly recommend it, even more so if you are in Warwick for the horse racing, as the location is 1 minute away from the course.

The hotel was very conveniently located close to the castle and other amenities. The rooms were nicely decorated. The bed was comfortable if a bit small for us as we are used to a King. The shower was very hot. Breakfast was excellent and the staff were very pleasant and amenable.

Responded promptly to a point we made about the shower - NEW shower!! Breakfast AWESOME never ate at lunchtime for four days as breakfast so plentiful. Fan was changed out on day 2 (thank you we did not request this so a nice gesture).

Generally our short stay at the hotel was excellent and well located for the town. On checking in with a considerable amount of luggage - we were going to a wedding the next day - Heather changed our allocated room from the second floor to the first floor as there is no lift and upgraded our room to a larger one. Plus points were plenty of soft towels, luxury 3 ply toilet paper, an excellent meal in the restaurant on the first night and a very attentive helpful staff. On the downside the room was cold on the first night - possibly due to the change of room - but no problem on the second night. The toilet seat was loose (we reported this to the staff on our departure) and it would have been helpful to have the instructions for the coffee/tea maker next to the machine (we found them later in the room folder). The advice given on car parking was confusing, we were able to unload at the hotel and park for two hours free of charge but were told that we would have to leave the car a few hundred yards away at the Race Course if we wanted free long term parking. On taking the car there, we found that parking was to be paid for and possibly only for two hours. However a friendly !!! traffic warden saw our predicament and issued a long term parking ticket free of charge - well done him - but not sure if everyone would be so lucky.

Plus points were plenty of soft towels, luxury 3 ply toilet paper, an excellent meal in the restaurant on the first night and a very attentive helpful staff. On the downside the room was cold on the first night - possibly due to the change of room - but no problem on the second night. The toilet seat was loose (we reported this to the staff on our departure) and it would have been helpful to have the instructions for the coffee/tea maker next to the machine (we found them later in the room folder). The advice given on car parking was confusing, we were able to unload at the hotel and park for two hours free of charge but were told that we would have to leave the car a few hundred yards away at the Race Course if we wanted free long term parking. On taking the car there, we found that parking was to be paid for and possibly only for two hours. However a friendly !!! traffic warden saw our predicament and issued a long term parking ticket free of charge - well done him - but not sure if everyone would be so lucky.

Clean and tidy rooms that were maintained every day. Breakfast was plentiful and great quality, with lots of choice. The pub/bar was cozy with plenty of choice of drinks. All the staff were friendly and chatty.

My husband and I stayed two nights. We throughly enjoyed our stay. Our room was on the small side but was very clean and comfortable. We had breakfast both mornings and dinner twice. All meals were delicious. The staff was friendly and welcoming. A lot of locals there for dinner and drinks. Everything you would expect from an English Inn!

Upon arrival the staff were helpful and friendly, the hotel has a nice cozy feel, great aesthetics. The room was clean, huge bath and shower in the Luxury double. All the facilities you could ask for. Added bonus, two beautiful dogs that were roaming in the hotel to welcome you. Great stay and id highly recommend it, even more so if you are in Warwick for the horse racing, as the location is 1 minute away from the course.

We had a very enjoyable stay, the room was clean and quite well equipped, a fridge and kettle would have made it perfect, although when we requested a kettle and milk it was quickly delivered only trouble with the milk, by morning it was thick and lumpy, as the room was very hot, keys to windows would be good! The staff were very friendly apart from the lady, who we presumed might be the owner, completely ignoring us as we left one morning, without raising her eyes from computer, with no acknowledgment that we were there!

Really great property. The staff are all friendly and helpful, Check-in was strictly 3pm, but they happily stored our bags and then transferred them to our room. The room was updated and comfortable, and the configuration meant it was off street and quiet. The pub is lovely and we can recommend reserving for dinner as the food was great (same kitchen for breakfast, which was also good). If the lack of on-site parking is a concern, know that the parking they give a pass to is only a 2 minute walk and secured with a gate. All in all a great stay. Definitely recommend it for a visit to Warwick.

Absolutely loved The Old Four Penny! The location was wonderful for walking in Warwick. The room was well appointed and spacious. The food was incredible and they accommodated my food allergies with ease. The staff were delightful, friendly and welcoming.

Spent 2 nights at the Old Fourpenny Hotel which is conveniently located for Warwick town centre and the castle. We enjoyed our stay here, the room was large, and well equiped with 2 Queen size beds and a good quality coffee/tea machine. Very good breakfast with lots of choice.

The room was very clean. The staff were ever so helpful. Good location, pretty much over the road from Warwick Castle. The food in the restaurant was absolutely delicious. The chicken liver brulee will forever stay in my top favourite dishes of all time

Great hotel perfectly located for everything, the castle and town centre are a few minutes walk away. We stayed for 2 nights, it was perfect. We ate in the hotel on our first night, the food and service was excellent. Great choice for breakfast, they even had homemade jam and marmalade. We would highly recommend this hotel.

We had a wonderful stay. A clean cosy yet spacious room with everything we needed. Wonderful included breakfasts. Friendly helpful staff. In walking distance of Warwick Castle and the village. Highly recommend.

Close to the racecourse and a short walk from the town centre. Friendly and welcoming, our courtyard room had direct access to the garden area at the rear of the pub/hotel, with its own bistro table by the door which is a nice touch as I imagine the garden can get very busy. The hotel is clearly very popular, it offers good food including a cooked-to-order breakfast. Highly recommended

The hotel was a great find. Lovely room and fantastic breakfast. It's a 10 minute walk from Warwick Castle and has free, all day parking, so you can visit the castle with ease.

We traveled from London to the quaint town of Warwick. There is a castle there - which has events and activities during the summer months - many directed to children. We went there because we wanted to go to the British Motor Museum and Jaguar museum located in Gaydon - a 30 pound taxi ride. The museum was well worth the trip and the guys who work there were very helpful. The Olde Four Penny Shop Hotel was another bonus - English breakfast included and gourmet quality dinners at the pub were amazing. Helpful hardworking staff.

This was my favorite hotel of our trip. I regret that we only stayed one night. The staff was phenomenal. The food was phenomenal. The beer garden out back was fun and comfortable. Breakfast was great.

They thought of every detail for the room. It was beautiful! And it was so nice to have treats and drinks waiting for us in our room after a long day of travel. The breakfast in the morning was delicious! We would love to go back and stay longer and try their restaurant, where they have themed nights and activities too. What a gem!

Hotel con pub-ristorante piacevole e con stile. Camera tripla accogliente nello stile e con bagno ampio. Letto matrimoniale non molto grande. Ottima colazione (compresa) e cena di buon livello (buona soluzione a Warwick). Parcheggio privato all'interno dell'ippodromo, a pochi metri dall'hotel!

What a wonderful little break away whilst visiting Warwick castle which was only a short stroll away. Every single member of staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was beautiful, comfy and clean and I would book again in a heartbeat! The cooked to order breakfast in the morning was a delight! Our little family was so well looked after. Thanks for a great stay!

Personalen var mycket trevliga och tog emot oss väldigt fort. Maten var bra och puben kändes trevlig. Ingen parkering vid hotellet men gratis och säker parkering på bara 2-.3 minuters gångavstånd.
