This was one of our favorite hotels ever! Room was gorgeous. We had a balcony with two chairs that looked over the bay. We only had time to stay one night, but we plan to be back again.

Stayed 2 nights

I booked 2 nights at Terrace Bay Hotel, and I wish I hadn't. This was the worst hotel experience I can remember, and I hardly know where to start. I booked a refundable "Premium Room, 2 Queen Beds, Lake View" for $330 per night. I can't imagine what the non-premium rooms look like: The room badly needed a renovation: mold in the AC unit, mold in the bathtub, stains on the sheets, a melted hair dryer, and an iron and ironing board so dirty I had to exchange them at the front desk for slightly-less-dirty replacements. At least the staff tried to help with that part. The noise was unbearable. We had an adjoining door, and we could hear the guest next door's late-night phone call clearly... until we turned on the AC, which was louder than the plane that flew us in to the area. Then, as the icing on the cake, just before 10 pm on August 13th, we started losing water pressure, hot first, then cold entirely. I went down to the front desk, where my complaint was met with outright disbelief [I even showed them a video, sadly I can't upload it to hotels.com], until someone from the kitchen showed up to report that the dishwashers had stopped working too. We checked out after one night despite paying for two, and hotel management showed zero interest in making it right. We received no compensation whatsoever for this stay from hell. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere. ANYWHERE else. OH. And we were greeted by a spider not even 5 minutes after making it to our room...
