When I checked in yesterday, the front desk helped me print the travel documents. I appreciated his help and gave GK the highest rating in Expedia. But then when my wife took a shower, the water became colder and colder. She was covered with shampoo but only cold water was left. It was totally not supposed to happen, and there was no one at the front desk at the time, we had absolutely no way of contacting anyone at GK so very dissatisfied, very unhappy.

Super spacious and convenient. Check in and out were "interesting" as this seems more like an airbnb/vrbo with part time staff. Friendly, but for example check out at 11am, staff not there until 12noon. Their luggage storage was not systematic and I think not secure. There was a commercial luggage storage business right down street, but fairly pricey.

Understand that this is at best two-star lodging, with no staff present except between 12:00 and 22:00 each day. The view out the windows are of the building center. That said, the price and convenience makes GK Athens well worthwhile.

Weird set up. It’s not a hotel. It’s an office building. Reception is in another office. No signage out front so not easy to find. Shower was mouldy. Best thing was the 2 Chinese restaurants opposite the hotel. The food was excellent.

This property is more like an Air BnB than what one would think of as a hotel. They are isolated apartments in a building with other private apartments. Check in consists of getting the code to a key safe containing the key to your unit, mounted on the wall at the building entrance. There are no doormen, no porters, no other staff, no lobby with seating, no business center. The apartments were clean, comfortable, spacious but oddly furnished. The real walk-in shower worked well but amenities were sparse. The toilet paper was consumer quality, not the flimsy stuff many hotels use. The location is outstanding, with many interesting restaurants of various genres within a block or two, and Syntagma square with the hop-on hop-off bus stop also just a block or so away. So if your travel is outwardly focused -- tours, museums, etc, or you're here for an overnight before leaving on a cruise, it's an excellent choice. Our only complaint, not entirely within their control, was that the temperature in Athens when we arrived was somewhere between 95° and 100°F, and the apartments had the A/C turned off and the windows open, so it took the entire evening for the rooms to cool down.

Très bien situé, proche de tout. Facilité d'accès, instructions claires et autonome. Très bon rapport qualité/prix. Deux bémols : le wifi est très instable et l'appartement est un peu bruyant car donne sur une partie des immeubles avec toutes les climatisations + la circulation. Mais à ce prix, le sacrifice vaut le coup.

Location was amazing! So close to shops and fantastic food and the acropolis. So ideal for walking. AC worked great and rooms were huge and very clean. We needed to store luggage for a few hours before boarding our cruise ship and they worked it out even though their office wasn’t open yet. Thanks for making sure everything worked out so well!

Bed was hard as a rock. Shower room ceiling paint badly peeling. Dark mold in shower bottom. On a scale of 1-10 I would rate this propery a 4. We had booked for 4 nights but changed to another hotel as we got no sleep and the condition was misrepresented. CK would not refund for the 3 nights we did not stay there.

I stayed in 2 different apartments on a recent trip to Greece. Both were clean, comfortable and well furnished though not luxurious. Security is good. The location is great, five minutes from Syntagma Square and close to the ancient centre. The neighbourhood immediately around the building doe not look attractive, especially at night, but I think is in fact reasonably safe. The "kitchenettes" do vary--one had fridge, kettle, coffee maker, 2 ring cooker top and sink; the other had neither sink nor cooker.

The bathroom shower was full of mold. All the corners were disgustingly dirty. The coffee machine was very dirty. Inside never washed the couch. We couldn’t even sit on it. We had to put pillows from the bedroom so it could be comfortable. I would never recommend this place to anybody it was filthy. Disgusting.

Good afternoon, we are not satisfied with the hotel accomodations at GK Athens. The room does not match what was presented in the photos. There are what appear to be pubic hairs on the couch. There are crumbs inside the couch. My family has checked in to another hotel in Athens. I respectfully request a refund for the 2 night hotel stay from July 9th to July 11th. Please include the addotional 60 Euros I paid for my two daughters to be added to the reservation.

It was not clear from the photos that this room was a basement apartment and while there were windows they really weren’t anything more then filtered light so the flat was like a box and it was just outside a computer area were other guests could be heard as though they were in the room. The staff was great, location ideal and room was clean. If our room was up off the ground floor I would recommend to anyone but for me, it was uncomfortable. Fine for one night

room was good considering the cheap price and the location is very central. there was air conditioning and clean towels and sheets. would recommend for people who need to stay shortly in a cenrtral location for a cheap price. the appartment´s windows dont get any sun since they face walls so you need to have lights on at all times. also its a bit noisy at night for a light sleeper.

I had a fantastic experience at this hotel. The location is absolutely perfect—just a short walk from local markets, great restaurants, and historic landmarks. It’s ideal for anyone wanting to explore the city on foot. The staff were incredibly helpful and kind, always ready to assist with anything I needed. It’s a 10-15 m walk to the acropolis and the nearby Plaka area has shops, restaurants and the Forum is there too. For value I don’t think it could be beat.

Older building but nicely updated apartments. You really can’t go wrong here. The location is perfect, staff is very nice, and is a bargain. Walk to hundreds of great shops and restaurants including walking distance to Acropolis. Take the X95 bus from the airport because it drops you off just steps away. Will be back for a longer stay!
