Stayed 1 night

Pros: the grounds are really lovely and the pool area is really nice. The male staff were all very cheerful and pleasant whereas the female staff were almost all somewhat scowling and unfriendly. I can’t figure out what that’s about but we all noticed the same. Cons: the food offered at the restaurant is mediocre, limited, and overpriced for what it is, even considering how all food in La Fortuna and in Costa Rica in general is surprisingly expensive. The dinning area while not unattractive, is not particularly attractive. The rooms, while large, leave much to be desired as well with no hooks etc to hang wet towels, a minuscule closet and no other options to store or organize clothes and other things. A bit of of common sense and better management could improve all of the above.

Stayed 5 nights

My family of 4 (two adults and two kids ages 9 and 12) stayed at this hotel for 5 nights while on vacation in La Fortuna. Overall this hotel was a great option for our family to stay at while we were on vacation. This hotel is a great value and worth the money you pay to stay here. The room- positives: We had a relatively basic room that we were very happy with. It was HUGE and we had lots of space that was great for us. Room was very clean and well cleaned daily. It was very quiet and excellent for sleeping after a busy day! The room- neutral/negatives: -There is no fridge in the room and getting access to ice wasn't easy (just a super long trek from our room and they would give you a tiny amount.) The water from the tap also isn't cold so getting cold water was difficult. -Apparently in La Fortuna there is a water shut off that happens nightly at 10:00 p.m. It would have been nice if the front desk had given us a heads up on this when we arrived. One night I wasn't able to shower or brush my teeth as planned! Restaurant: - We did not like the restaurant and I would recommend avoiding it. It's expensive and the service was not good at any time of day....breakfast or dinner. The view from this hotel is amazing and the highlight for sure. From our room we had a clear view of the volcano and it was beautiful!! Overall we were satisfied with our stay. It was good value. It wasn't luxurious by any means but it checked all the boxes of the things we needed.

Stayed 4 nights

Highly recommend this hotel. The property is lush and pretty. The staff is amazing, and speak multiple languages. They are also super helpful. It has a nice pool, (that is heated), with swim up bar. The rooms are clean, but expect a few friends. We had a cute frog and baby lizard in our bathroom. The rooms are a bit quirky, as evidenced by the photo’s. We stayed in the two bedroom villa with the mini private pool. The only downside is there isn’t a main sitting area, but having a private pool makes it worth it. The daily breakfast is really good, it’s buffet style, with different breakfast options every day.

Stayed 6 nights

We had the 2 bedroom villa with private pool and it was wonderful. The room was clean, staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool was warm, we went to the main pool a few times and it was also warm, perfect for relaxing after a long day of hiking. I would definitely stay at this property again.
