Tribe Perth Kings Park

The Tribe advertises parking, they have 7 bays that are suitable for small to medium vehicles at a rate that exceeds other rates in the area including street parking which I can say is hard to get in close association to the hotel. They don't even have a landing bay at the entrance to unload and load your baggage.

Don’t expect any car parking facilities unless you are prepared to pay for it. Very poorly poorly thought out when constructed with limited parking in design. Property not in city center and I would not recommend this property if you are visiting from country area.

Clean room, nice comfy bed, delicious 3 course meal. Wonderful staff with good communication. Loved the relaxing, lounging area. Ample space for business meetings. Come find out for yourself.

Good location but only 5 parking bays.

No parking is a complete turn off having to organise someone to feed a parking meter every 3 hours during the day was a pain

Great hotel - exactly what I needed. The bed was insanely comfy and a good range of pillows. Location is good, easy to get to different places. My only concern was parking - if you need this, book in advance. I had not realised that was required and had to street park which turned out ok as I was there mostly over the weekend.

The main problem was the parking to expensive if you could find a space the evening was just as bad and that is without having to pay

The hotel offers great service, a stunning lobby, and a welcoming atmosphere. It’s in a good location, and the price is reasonable. However, the rooms are VERY small, and if you don’t opt for the city or park view, the lack of natural light and space makes the room feel like your are staying in a dungeon.

Tribe is a great value hotel but parking is a bit challenging. It seems all the property parking is unavailable so only option is on the street. Staff indicated this was the only option and was clear there would be no parking in the building. We paid $12.00 for parking on the street from 8-11am, although free from 6pm to 8:00am. Luckily there was a spot close by.

Reception staff at check in were disinterested and inattentive to the point of utter rudeness. Our thanks to reception staff this morning for being such a sunny comparison. The room was small, dark, dirty. The bathroom and fittings were cracked, aged & peeling. The breakfast was overpriced & extremely basic with limited choice. Spills and stains on furniture & floor.I had to ask for gluten free bread and was given a gluten muffin, to which i am reacting to now. It was by far the most overpromising yet underperforming hotel we have ever stayed in. Despite its marketting it is not new or boutique.

At almost $300 a night, the upstairs corridors desperately need painting. The walls pretentiously painted black, are scuffed, scraped, chipped, exceedingly shabby. The blue show piece sofa/divan at reception is full of holes & dirty. The so-called "Grab & Go" food bar is completely inadequate. Travellers crave fresh fruit, green salads, yoghurt, cheese etc ie healthy options, not stodgy bread & wraps. As for the BOOKS on display at reception: more pretentious rubbish.

Whilst the lobby is very stylish and impressive on arrival sadly the rest of the building has clearly seen better days. Walls are scuffed and damaged and chunks missing everywhere. There were stains on our window blinds. Whilst the site makes clear that the rooms are small, they are absolutely tiny and really difficult to move around if they’re off two of you. TV largely unusable with most channels not working and taking ages to load anything. Upside is the very comfortable beds.

The rooms were clean and well kept. The staff were amazing during the duration that I was there. The breakfast was underwhelming could do better. All in all it was such a great experience!

This property was recommended as being small but good. It may have been when new but is now in poor condition and cleanliness. There was a coffee spot dripped on one of the bedside tables when we arrived and there it stayed for 4 nights. The shelves where the towels and flannels were placed, were dusty and had a long black hair. I flicked up the bottom sheet on the bed as I pulled the top back and found the mattress was badly stained and worn. The air conditioner was not working for 2 nights and needed maintenance. The TV kept turning itself off after 5 minutes. Bedside tables and shelves had not been wiped clean for some time, accumulated dust. I knew the room would be small but my husband had to get on the bed so I could manoeuvre our bags around. (there are spaces under the bed to store) One good aspect was the use of a microwave and on tap filtered water down in the restaurant. All in all, I would not recommend this Hotel.

Clean and has a lot of character but things need a bit of love, grime build up in bathroom, but of paint peeling etc. Just small things but noticeable.

Bed is very comfortable but shower was only able to hear to warm. Bathroom has mould and water damage. For the price it did the job though. Street parking was also easy.

Our stay was very nice, the room was tidy but a bit dusty on the black surfaces / bathroom. Room was very nice and the bed was comfortable. Coffee machine would not work but was ok as had own coffee sachets. Room needs a bin in the main area as bathroom bin is too small for general trash. Tv easy to use but only basic channels. Close to kings park so that was lovely, managed to see the light show there, 20 min walk from hotel so very convenient for park visits. Common area of hotel was nice and quiet throughout our whole stay. 1 star removed because of what’s stated above. Overall our stay was good.

Rooms a bit small but other than that very good.

Bathroom doors are dangerous

This room was absolutely tiny. I could not open my suit case without it being constricted by the wall and the bed Tiny wardrobe with 2 hangers, aircon would not blow heat (it’s freezing in Perth), no bathroom vanity space, bathroom sink broken with tile parts fallen off. Be linen not warm enough for winter, The most uncomfortable stay ever, definitely not suitable when travelling for work

Best designed, most welcoming hotel lobby/lounge restaurant area I have seen in many years. Rooms are much too small: double rooms good for singles, small people, and guests who are physically very flexible.

Great location close to the Purple Cat free bus service to the heart of Perth. Room was smallish and the sink tiny for shaving.

Modern and trendy, and clean enough, but expensive for what you get at $250 per night! Room was tiny (think an Ibis budget-sized room with a bathroom like a cupboard and no space to even open your suitcase!). When we arrived (after 5pm in mid-winter) the cold air-con was blasting and the room was 16 degrees. After trying to warm it up, I went down to reception (no phone in room) to ask for assistance, only to be told there is no heating in the rooms - only cold air-con. I was given a small plug in fan heater to try to warm the room.

The staff at the reception were extremely rude, arrogant and not helpful. The property was nice but the rooms are tiny so photos are deceiving. I was provided with wrong information about the deposit prior to checking in and was met with extremely rude staff the next day when I asked questions and questioned why staff are not providing the correct information. I was ignored, spoken very rudely to and I certainly will not be staying here again.

Room was clean and tidy and reception area lovely and modern . However the staff customer service was shocking night staff questioned me several times regarding name and booking even though was already checked in few days previously then gave me incorrect key fob poor effort and couldn’t be bothered helping to busy on this phone , housekeeping came into my room on check out at 8:30am asking is room free! That’s never happened before ever check out 10am so why come in earlier. The staff really let down my stay at that hotel they need to be more customer focused as that’s the industry! Won’t stay again and will be telling others

Overall was great experience at Tribe. Although I do wish the staff could explained or shared more info on the security bond when I asked, just didn’t feel like there weren’t enough after sale caring from. But I called again this morning the other staff she explained to me the process which was super helpful. Every staff should act like her more when customers are checking out.

The staff at Tribe were above and beyond so professional in every way ! From the moment we arrived Liam the manager couldn’t do enough to meet our requests which made a stay a pleasant one…All the Ladies at reception were attentive and friendly without been pretentious so glad we picked the Tribe hotel !

Amazing stay my sister and I had at the Tribe Perth. Friendly and attentive staff, and loved the location which is away from the city but still easy accessible to UWA and downtown. Only concern is the bathroom glass door that can close on you from the back, which shocked us couple of times. Would love to stay here again when visit, and recommend to friends :) Keep up the awesome job peeps!

I had to change rooms two times, first room the fire alarm was broken so it made some noise. Second, the aircondition was broken so it was not possible to change the temprature, so it was 16 Celsius in the room. But the staff changed my room without hessitation both times.

Most unpleasant experience I have ever had at any accommodation. Couple in the next room started fighting at 2am, and there was clearly violence involved. When I alerted staff, they did not respond appropriately, check on my welfare, follow up or let me know of any outcomes/action they took despite knowing I was a woman staying alone in the next room. When I raised it while checking out a day early the next morning, they clearly did not care. I left in tears.

Good location quiet but still close to the city

Perfect location for what we wanted to do in Perth. Very easy access to Kings Park and the CAT bus network. Room was compact but fine for what we needed.

Check in and out was a breeze! The staff are very welcoming and friendly! The location is perfect for visiting the city and kings park! The room was so comfortable! And the hotel itself is so funky! I will definitely stay again!!

Excellent location for exploring Kings Park, the city and West Perth area. Bring your bike and get some miles in around KP. Very friendly staff, rooms with innovative space use solutions, perfect for the short stay or a weekend staycation

Close to Kings Park and right on the Purple Cat Line. The room and bathroom are small but for the cost it was fine. The only annoying thing was twice in one night someone set off the fire alarm with bathroom steam. Signs need to be more obvious of the risk of this happening and it also should be mentioned by person at front desk checking people in.

If you’re staying for a night or two max, then Tribe is decent to stay but I personally will NEVER stay here ever again. The room had fruit flies the entire time we were staying plus there was fruit flies in the dining area to, exhaust in bathroom didn’t work and only when I noticed I had told them about it and they replaced it which was great but what if I didn’t notice? I would have to pay $1000 if the fire alarm went off due to the steam and there is a sticker in the shower saying exactly that which is very intimidating. Staff had no idea what was happening in the city and couldn’t give advice for activities. We had the same breakfast for 5 days that we stayed which is ridiculous and it was soooo basic and bland. As a vegetarian it was so hard to eat something that didn’t have meat other than cereal and toast. The house keeper only vacuumed once the entire stay. We had to request to get our room cleaned. There’s no facilities, no pool, no gym, no activities. It’s just rooms and if you get breakfast included it’s a buffet that tbh is not good (as mentioned earlier). There was no lotion when we arrived in the room and had requested multiple times if we could get lotion and the staff had given me their dusty one they use. Bed and pillows were uncomfortable to sleep on and my husband didn’t have a soft pillow they were all (besides one) very hard. The list could go on but I’d rather not say anymore than I already have. My partner and I did NOT have a good time staying there.

Staff were great but the rooms are very small and not conducive to a 5 night stay as no way of unpacking. Had to live out of a suitcase. Also breakfast was very uninspiring and almost identical every day. Had to make your own instant coffee or pay extra. Rooms not suited for anybody frail as the doors are so hrsbu

We found the standard rooms were quite small, no table to be able to eat at. Bed was very high, but very comfortable. Very disappointed to find out on the check-in, that the restaurant was not opened of a Sunday night. It was the main reason for choosing that hotel to stay at, so we didn't have to leave the premises to have our Suday dinner. They did have rolls and fillings, so we mde do with that.

Great hotel, very comfortable. Just don't buy any of the sandwiches from the grab n go downstairs as they are stale, I bought one last night and couldn't eat it due to it being super stale. Check in staff was fabulous, check out staff rude. Would stay again very comfortable.

Lovely hotel but breakfast was not worth the money, no central heating and peeling paint.

Breakfast needs an upgrade. No eggs, bacon. Pretty bad value. No dinner available after a long flight. Liked the books around the dining area

Pillows are terrible bathroom too small no heating had to ask for blankets shower not hot enough No parking on property and that is not advertised Nothing in breakfast was hot

A great location to explore Perth with the beautiful backdrop of Kings Park. The hotel was modern and clean with a great vibe in the lobby areas, good music etc. My room was compact and functional with lovely views and good quality bathroom amenities. My only issue was being sold a Danish pastry with mould on it. When I told the staff member his reaction was “oh, that’s the morning crew” rather than apologizing.
