The grounds are lovely, but no gym and the wellness classes were really limited - not necessarily a deal breaker but something to be aware of. A bit further from town (about a mile walk) which could be a positive or a negative based on what you are expecting.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Cala Lina. From the correspondance before our arrival to book add-on activities, to the arrival experience, to the daily check-ins and check-out, we experienced the best customer service. Nicole was fantastic in ensuring everything was good with our stay. The rocky beach was fun for the kids to experience the tidal pools. And a short golf cart trip away took us to town and the sandy beaches of Tamarindo. We had a lovely time here.

Stayed 2 nights

We stayed 2 nights. The people were amazing, always smiling and willing to help, and they recommended the best spots, beaches, and restaurants. The location was ok, not the greatest, far enough from the craziness of the town, but the beach they advertise nearby is not on the property. It is not beautiful either; it is full of sharp rocks and smells bad. The person they have dedicated to the guest was nice but lazy, in our opinion. The hotel itself was spotless, the accommodation was awesome, the dinner was one fo the best of the whole week we stayed in Costa Rica, the pool area was great, but because of their location and the beautiful arbories around you, you can only enjoy the sun for a couple of hours in the morning. Then there is no sun. The room décor was very stylish and minimalist. The shower was big, and there was enough lighting for makeup, etc. AC works like a champ. I will definitely recommend this hotel if you are coming to Tamarindo.

A very precious hotel. Quiet relaxed wellness vibe. Booked here for the yoga and sound baths, and loved the experience. There is no gym but they allow you to use the yoga pavilion and they have weights maths and equipment you can use. We truly love that. Lovely pool area. Breakfast is fantastic quality and included cook to order eggs lots of variety. We really look forward to it every morning. The breakfast stuff is great. Our room was very clean with two sinks gorgeous bathtub the beach has spectacular sunsets over lava rocks great restaurants walking distance. Sofia was our favorite. Front desktop was very helpful and eager. The biggest area for improvement is bar staff. Many times we had to wait while standing directly in front of them just to be acknowledged. That made us feel small and unseen. I hate to say it but bar staff seemed more interested in chatting with eachother rather than the guests.
