Good stop over hotel, location is a bit out of town but the bus is over the road. However, there is no path to get to the bus stop. Hotel is very clean, quiet and the breakfast is good. Good value for money and the staff were polite and helpful.

Disappointing stay – multiple basic issues We stayed for one night with our two children and unfortunately had several issues. We had contacted the hotel directly through Hotels.com about a cot and received confirmation that it would be provided, but there was no cot in the room on arrival. There were also no bath towels for four guests, only one small hand towel, which we didn't discover until we had got the children into the shower. Additional towels were provided after contacting reception. Breakfast was also disappointing, with generally poor and limited options. When we explained that our child has a milk allergy, there was no alternative milk available, leaving very limited options as there was nothing labelled as suitable and no alternatives such as fruit or margarine. I will take away from this that I need to declare the allergy when booking, but everywhere we have previously stopped we have generally been able to find something suitable, such as fruit or toast with dairy-free spread. What was particularly disappointing was the manager's response when we raised these issues. We were told that, given our expectations, we should consider staying at a 4- or 5-star hotel. We found this extremely dismissive. None of the individual issues were huge, but the number of problems during one short stay, followed by that response, made for a very disappointing experience. We would not stay here again.

This hotel was such a lovely surprise. We sometimes stay in the Campanile in Calais which really needs a refurbishment but is fine for our needs however, this was lovely. The rooms are big, we were in a heatwave and the air conditioning was bliss, the man on reception was really welcoming and we were comfortable. Can't ask for more.
