Great experience at Equinox! Room was extremely comfortable and very well appointed- room service fast and accurate, restaurant extremely good, lots of outdoor roof top areas, amazing workout facilities and spa- as you’d expect.

If I could give 5-star plus I would. I joined my daughter here for a 5 night stay-cation. We took advantage of all the hotel had to offer. Honestly, we would have been quite overjoyed without leaving the property, but had to travel to Times Square for the play. (Which, by-the-way, was arranged seamlessly by our concierge) The health facility was immaculate and we were able experience many of classes. Of course, the spa is not to be missed, Our daily conflict consisted of juggling spa appointments with the workout schedule. We dined at Electric Lemon and was not disappointed with the exception the the beet yogurt is only available during breakfast hours. The rooms was silent, beds were comfortable. The staff all around were gracious. ( and quick to help with elevator navigation) I did use hotel transportation to & from JFK and so glad I did.

Very disappointing stay. First, I only booked this hotel to have access to an indoor pool during the winter and it was closed. No one bothered to let me know when I booked the reservation nor before I checked in that the indoor pool was closed. Second, two staff members proceeded to argue in front of customers in the lobby — very unprofessional. Third, when I ordered room service, it arrived late, cold, and missing items. And last, the cleaning staff tried to enter my room without knocking. I paid for a “5 star” hotel without 5 star treatment. Take your business elsewhere.

Gorgeous hotel. Too bad for the emergency construction on Monday - it was terribly loud. Staff were awesome. Gym is great. Spa is pretty good but facial was just okay and not worth the investment and only received one of the complimentary services. But I loved the location and my room was beautiful.

I’ve stayed at most five-star hotels in Manhattan, and the Equinox is by far my favorite. Not only is it a pristine, clean hotel with light, airy vibes, but the staff is absolutely incredible! Starting with Andy and Mike, they always remember me when I check in. They come out quickly to take my car and luggage to the room. Andy and Mike are truly amazing, and they are one of the main reasons I stay at the Equinox. Dan, who checked me in, made me feel so welcomed! I requested drinks to be sent over to the room, and they arrived within 10 minutes—so fast! As I checked out, Dan made me feel like family by walking me to the elevator. He goes out of his way to help accommodate you; I asked for a later check-out, and he made it happen. Overall, my experience at the Equinox has been exceptional, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-notch stay in Manhattan.

Equinox Hotel is an amazing property with incredible amenities. The staff is top notch and big shoutout to the cleaning staff as they are incredible. Turn down service was done very nicely. I loved everything in the room and the spa was great.

The Equinox Hotel is by far one of the best Hotels I have stayed at in New York City, and the world. It was clean, cozy, energetic, and calm at the same time. Our room was impeccable from the view of the Hudson River, right down to the lighting, cleanliness, smell was amazing, and that bed! My wife and I had an AMAZING nights rest. Their attention to detail is why I would recommend to anyone! Definitely will come back and stay. The Hotel has a lot to offer.

We had a wonderful stay! We were pleasantly surprised at how big the room was for a NYC hotel room. The staff was super attentive and friendly. Our complaint was that the room had the smell of cigarette smoke. We were told that housekeeping would install an air purifier while we were out of the room. I’m not sure if it was actually done or not because the odor remained. But other than that the hotel was great.

First off, it was not a bad stay. With my past experience as a club member, I was excited to stay and more than sure that the hotel would be as awesome. After a busy week, I needed some time to regenerate/restore - so it happened to be a great timing as well. However, I can’t say the stay met my expectation. It was good, but not so great. Atmosphere, friendly and courteous staff, spa experience, club.. yes, definitely “Equinox.” Had a great time in light of these, but there were different hmmm moments. Towels on the shelf (not the ones hanging) were like they have been there for month. They have definitely not been replenished - excessively dusty smell. I understand that there might be no need to replace it when previous guest did not use them at all, but they were unacceptably dusty. I wouldn’t mention this if it weren't this bad. The outdoor pool (club amenity) heating wasn’t working properly. One of barrel saunas was out of order. I agree this can look nit-picky, but for a 5-star hotel - I feel like it should be given that things are carefully, well maintained. I am pretty easygoing when it comes to a hotel stay, but I really liked the concept and wanted equinox hotel to be the one I can choose over the other 5-stars with confidence. I had planned to stay multiple times a year before coming in, but I wasn’t really impressed to say “definitely worth it, I love it!” Overall, it’s a nice hotel to relax and restore, but it can definitely be better.

Let me preface this with, I never write reviews but in this case, I think travelers should know what to expect. The hotel is too expensive to lack certain luxuries. I booked this hotel for my husband as a surprise birthday trip. I informed the hotel before arrival that it was his birthday. I expected a card or something in the room to greet him. There was nothing. To pay $1000 / night, I expected some type of written welcome. The pillows are absolutely terrible. They have no support and are flat. My husband and I both left with neck pain because the bed / pillows were so uncomfortable. Also the bed has 2 separate down comforters that are in half on one bed. It was weird and at some point my husband had both on him while sleeping. They should just place one large comforter on one bed like it’s normally done. It doesn’t add anything to the experience to do it differently. Also the hotel is very minimalist. So don’t expect travel size soaps, lotions, etc. I had to ask for a shower cap. I’ve stayed in much more luxurious hotels before. I will not be coming back because they need to offer more to their guest.

We stayed here for our anniversary. Everyone was very accommodating and nice! Five star service!!! Very convenient to NY Penn station, shopping and numerous dining options and the Edge. Spa, fitness and outdoor pool were a big plus.

Amazing hotel! Would definitely stay there again. The only problem we encountered was that Wi-Fi did not work well throughout the hotel, it worked only in the hotel room. Phone reception was very poor, one bar. That was a big minus for us because it was difficult to keep in touch between ourselves and take care of stuff that we needed to take care of.

The room was beautiful. Really nice design and layout. I booked a Premier Skyline View room and views were excellent. Clear view of One World Trade. I was not expecting to be able to see the Hudson River, but had a great view of that. I also did not expect a view of The Vessel, but had a good view of that as well, just from a higher vantage point. Staff is also very professional. Really enjoyed my stay.

The staff attitude particularly at the spa marred the experience. Services included for VIP access in Expedia were not honored without significant back and forth which defeats the purpose of a wellness visit. The included service advertised as a treatment turns out to be sauna and even that is not included per reservation as advertised. Some of the staff had a terrible attitude toward my friends. One of the restaurant staff even said to my friend, “You look f***ed up.” Is that how you train your employees to speak to customers? There was absolutely no respect. Later, when my friend simply asked for bar recommendations, the staff member replied, “I’m not sure they’ll serve you guys.” Are you serious? Is that an acceptable way to speak to guests? When I asked to speak with the manager, I was told, “None of them are here, it’s too late now.”

Very disappointing stay. First, I only booked this hotel to have access to an indoor pool during the winter and it was closed. No one bothered to let me know when I booked the reservation nor before I checked in that the indoor pool was closed. Second, two staff members proceeded to argue in front of customers in the lobby — very unprofessional. Third, when I ordered room service, it arrived late, cold, and missing items. And last, the cleaning staff tried to enter my room without knocking. I paid for a “5 star” hotel without 5 star treatment. Take your business elsewhere.

Really nice hotel but I expected more for the price. Like the key card machine didn’t work so I had to be led to my room each time. Then woken up at 9:30pm for housekeeping. Then disturbed at noon while showering even though I had a 1pm check out. But room was comfortable and well appointed. Polite staff.

The property is in a very nice area and a great location in the city to take the subway to other locations. It is a very hip hotel. Loved the gym, but it was super crowded and young. The food at the restaurant was delicious. I would stay here again.

Great experience at Equinox! Room was extremely comfortable and very well appointed- room service fast and accurate, restaurant extremely good, lots of outdoor roof top areas, amazing workout facilities and spa- as you’d expect.

If I could give 5-star plus I would. I joined my daughter here for a 5 night stay-cation. We took advantage of all the hotel had to offer. Honestly, we would have been quite overjoyed without leaving the property, but had to travel to Times Square for the play. (Which, by-the-way, was arranged seamlessly by our concierge) The health facility was immaculate and we were able experience many of classes. Of course, the spa is not to be missed, Our daily conflict consisted of juggling spa appointments with the workout schedule. We dined at Electric Lemon and was not disappointed with the exception the the beet yogurt is only available during breakfast hours. The rooms was silent, beds were comfortable. The staff all around were gracious. ( and quick to help with elevator navigation) I did use hotel transportation to & from JFK and so glad I did.

Only thing that we called for room service cause we couldn't charge the page of the browser and the person at the restaurant was extremely rude, to the point that we didn’t order anything. As he said to us “i can’t read the whole menu to you”. We were asking for a vegetarian recommendation as we couldn’t see the menu and h then replied “what do you want me to do, I can read the whole menu to you”

The Equinox hotel was truly extraordinary experience, blending luxury and wellness. The rooms were sleek, very spacious, and modern theme. We loved it! They have a rooftop bar called the electric lemon which has great drinks. The rooftop area is closed in November. However, the manager is so kind to guest staying and will let you see it and take pictures. The staff is so sweet and left a cake and note for my fiancés birthday in the room. Please take advantage of the room service, they has amazing health immune system drinks that helped as I was sick during my stay. They also brought me lots of tea. I highly recommend this hotel!

Our stay was incredible. the staff was so helpful and pleasant. - always smiling, and above and beyond what we had hoped for. our room was beautiful, quiet, and so comfortable. (we were on the river side) breakfast was delicious, the location fantastic. sunset at the pool was the perfect unwind. we will stay here again and again. PERFECT spot.

The hotel is beautiful and the amenities are top notch. Our only real issue was with one of our suites. My family and I stayed in 2 different suites during our stay. The Skyline View suite was incredible. However, our other room was the River View Suite which was far inferior. The noise level for what i thought was supposed to be a quiet room was horrendous. There is a train depot immediately below the hotel on the river side as well as helipads. Each of our three nights we were interrupted by train and helicopter noise. I mentioned it to the front desk and they seemed surprised by our complaint. AVOID the river side rooms!
