Hampton Inn Danville, VA

I chose Hampton Inn on my daughter’s recommendation. I had my 12 year old grandson with me, so the breakfast buffet was a huge hit!!! The indoor pool was a factor when looking for and booking a room in Danville, VA. In comparing the price with other hotels in this area, Hampton Inn had the best amenities for the best price!!! After staying there, I can say that I felt like it was the best value. The minute you walk thru the door, you’re greeted & welcomed to the premises. I had a reservation, so my registration took only a couple of minutes. They offered free bottled water at the desk, along with hot coffee & hot chocolate packets. There was two containers of hot water to make the instant packets of coffee & chocolate. My room was clean, inviting; the tv welcomed me with my name on screen and my grandson thought that was the greatest thing!!!! Two wonderful beds, a desk, a microwave and a mini fridge that can keep anything very cold. Our bathroom had a shower only but that was fine with us; large shower!! Thermostat was on the wall and we were in charge of the temperature in our room. The tv was at least a 42”(or possibly 55”, Huge) and for a 12 yr old boy - that was pretty cool, too! We had a great stay here. On the second day, coming from the pool; front desk had fresh baked chocolate chip cookies!! Who does that, anymore? I’m glad I picked Hampton Inn for my stay in Danville!!

The hotel is newer and for the most part the employees were courteous. First day noticed one of the elevators was inoperative and not in use. Second day went to use the well equipped fitness center and TV was inoperative and maintenance finally said oh well not working. Third day the fitness room was closed because of a leak somewhere.

Staff was friendly and the complimentary breakfast was great. My kids loved the pool and the hotel was very clean!

The hotel itself was excellent, as was the service. Very clean, comfortable, great beds, and friendly staff. However, I deliberately chose this hotel because they offered chargers for electric vehicles in a small town that has very few charger options when passing through a rural area of Virginia. They had two, non-functional chargers which lead to a variety of headaches for me. Long story short, if you have an EV, call to verify they work before staying there. There are almost zero functional charging stations within about a 35 mile range, so do not rely on this one without verifying first.

All the staff were very helpful and friendly. Our room was nice and roomy. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the facility. Also My grandchildren really enjoyed the pool.

The general manager was great and super friendly! All his staff were also very helpful. Wish we could have been able to use the arcade games on the weekend nights we were there.

Property was clean and neat. Only thing that was not good for me and my wife was there was a white pill of some sort on the corner of our bed. Other than that it was great.

The staff were terrific but the rooms and bathrooms were not that clean. The smell of cleaning products were overwhelming but yet things looked dirty especially the bathroom. The floor and shower looked as if it hadn't been cleaned. Location was ok. Only about minutes from Casino and Riverwalk area.

I stayed at the Hampton Inn and the front desk and housekeeping staff were outstanding by being friendly, attentive, and quick to help. However, the only downside was that the bedding had an unpleasant odor, which made the stay less comfortable.

Bathtub had cracks and holes in. Hotel was aware and yet rented the room anyway. Tried to get a refund or compensation for the inconvenience but was refused. Expedia wasn’t any help either. Gave me credit on their membership which I’m not part of and don’t plan joining. A terrible experience.

Stayed here while visiting our grandson. Hav stayed hte before. Live the rooms and the breakfast. Only problem was they did not have working TVs in rooms. For this price piint, live tv is an expectation. No offer of a discount either.

The rooms were nice, clean, and well serviced. The staff was friendly and helpful. Everything was good with one exception. My room was on the first floor, not far from the laundry room door and the office door. The doors are really heavy and they slam if you don't shut them easily. All night I heard slamming doors, slamming doors from the staff going in and out as well as other guests.

Great service and excellent room. Loved the bathroom.

Main complaints is the tv streaming service is flaky at best. Premium rates$ should justify premuim tv service! Window ac units with fan noisy and running continuously.

The only thing I found issue with was the small fridge, it wasn't cooling. I didn't report it, as I had ice. Otherwise, the room was comfortable and spacious. I enjoyed my stay in room 214.

The overall property itself was clean and modern, you can tell it was remodel a few yrs ago. My issue was the poor communication and the lack of concern desk staff showed upon my checking in issue. After a long 6 hr drive, the hotel wasn’t able to completely honor my reservation. Upon check in I was told the remaining king bed room I reserved didn’t have a working tv. I was offered a double bed room, if I don’t want the room without a working tv. Or the option to completely cancel my reservation, all of the options are completely acceptable. It was way it was passively relayed to me, kind of a take it or leave it. A simple phone call would have sufficed, informing me of what’s going on before I has arrived. The area itself doesn’t have many options in terms of higher quality hotels, this is one of the better lower expectation hotels that’s still over charging for the area. That interaction for me brings them down to a 3 star rating.

We liked the,location, staff was friendly. The lady that did the breakfast, wonderful customer service. We had one problem. We had no power on the left side of room. Bedside lamps, x clock, and elecrical sockets did not work. Told the person at desk and maintenance x 2. 12/24/24 was the date reported. We stayed there 6 days.

While the hotel was nice, they were not accommodating with a reimbursement for the non-working tv because I booked through Expedia and not directly with the hotel.

Customer service is nonexistent at this property. Phone calls to the hotel are constantly ignored. Very unprofessional.

Met our needs very well, comfortable room and quiet. Easy access to the area around. Very friendly staff.

We thought the Hotel was a very clean and new looking. Excellent rooms and one of the very nicest and friendly staff that we have ever encountered in our stays from previous Hilton Hotel stays. Even the ladies working breakfast each morning were willing and did go above and beyond in their services to the patrons. My wife and I just cannot say enough good things about our stay in Danville, Virginia. If you are in that area to stay for a few days or just one then you certainly should try this Hampton Inn / Hilton. Also this Inn is only about 3 miles from the new Caesar's Casino. Well worth the stay.

I grew up in Danville. Just down for family members funeral. HI was perfect location and price . Nice breakfast also.

Staff was great very friendly and professional. Breakfast bar was good. The only negative was a lumpy mattress. Would stay there again when in the area.

The staff was extremely friendly. The room was nice but there were hand and foot prints on the wall. The water in the shower was warm at best and the tub drained slowly so you were standing in dirty water while showering. Breakfast was okay but a little lighter then I expected from the Hampton Inn.
