We stopped here because it was rated 4.8 stars. Really don’t know how it got that rating. The front desk people were unfriendly and preferred not to show their faces. The “breakfast” did have waffles but that’s about it; the juice machine did not work. There was white bread and packaged powdered donuts. The rooms had no carpeting and while “updated”, were not done well. There was a rack over the toilet that was rusty and the ceiling tiles were rusty. When you walked into the hall, there was a washer & dryer right by the door in the open. If the staff had at least been friendly or helpful, we would have rated them slightly better but we felt they weren’t even trying. However, the “price was right”, just not a 4.8/5 hotel.

The hotel is in complete disrepair due to renovations and definitely has black mold because my wife and I both came down with something after one night here.

The staff was friendly. The room itself was very clean. However, the bathtub wouldn't drain in shower mode. The property outside of the room was a bit dated and dirty, and I didn't see an elevator. Just a note: If you have mobility issues make sure you book the double rooms which are downstairs... The single bed rooms are upstairs. I guess I would come back if I only needed one night and wanted a budget deal, but it's probably not likely.

I was very disappointed with the hotel by "Wyndham". I am handicapped and there was no elevator. The man helped me take my bag upstairs but there was no one to be found to help bring it downstairs. The bed was ridiculously high off the ground. I had a very hard time getting into it. There was a loud drip outside the window all night and it made it very hard to sleep. The breakfast was quite poor with tables that moved and spilt the coffee. I am not sure why it is affiliated with Wyndham, it is nothing like their properties are like

First there was a very weird musty smell when we walked in...Bed and pillows very hard sheets had stains on them and the bed was so high off the ground my husband had to assist me getting on in. The side door would not open with key cards so other guest were just propping it open, this was not safe. Breakfast muffins we not edible.holes in the walls and chair was broken. There was a coat rack and hangers so close to the bed that i hit my head. No staff available on we checked it.

False advertising! Had I known you weren't serving breakfast, I would not have stayed at this property. The lobby was under construction and absolutely filthy. There was mold in the bathroom, a missing towel bar and a broken security latch on the guest room door. Disgusting!!!!!!!!

Room was dirty, old, moldy, and Hair was everywhere. The front desk was under construction and people’s information and paperwork was on the desk for everyone to see and no employees around. Online option to pay more for breakfast on some websites and no breakfast at hotel. Walls were thin could hear everything.

There was some dirty towels in our room, the beds had some stains and the bathroom needed more cleaning. Went out and bought my own cleaning supplies and cleaned it myself. The beds need to be changed. We kept dipping into the middle of them. But over all I really enjoyed our stay. The breakfast had limited options. But the staff where friendly and it was in a really quiet area.

Hotel smells clean but the showers are very dirty, black slime around the tub that was missing most of the caulk. The soap dispenser hadn’t been cleaned in months. The room was alright but also not really super clean just clean smelling. For the price it’s not that bad I just prefer a cleaner room specifically the shower

I really enjoyed the room for my night. It’s an older hotel but it’s renovated. Very clean and comfortable. The only thing I didn’t like and needs improvement is you can hear the noise from the other rooms next door. Needs something done for noise reduction. Other than that it was a nice place! Also the lady at the front desk was awesome! She had the lobby smelling amazing! She was super friendly! I would stay again!

My room, specifically my bathroom was dirty. There was hair stuck all over the wall and even on my towels. Their coffee machine in the lobby was getting installed so I resorted to the Kcups in the room, but there wasn't any coffee, only tea and decaf.

While I’m not saying I’d never stay there again, it definitely wasn’t the nicest. The only reason I would is because the front desk lady was so nice and accommodating. It was pouring the rain down during our stay, and our window leaked. The bathtub drain was broken, so I had to screw it and unscrew it to let the water out. Ceiling tiles (drop ceiling style) were broken in spots throughout the room and bathroom. There was an outlet that was literally sticking out of the wall (near the window that leaked so that was unsettling). Our friends that stayed in a couple rooms down had the same issues. I feel like it could be a really nice hotel with some basic TLC. The owners are obviously just too lazy and greedy to fix the basic issues.

You get what you pay for. Room was ok. Upstairs no elevator. AC worked. Bed was comfortable but it was high off the ground. I’m 6’2” and found the bed hard to get into. Very limited food close but I doordashed.

Recently updated room furniture, HVAC unit and decor [coat of paint] but same original bathroom fixtures [bathtub faucet dripped and could not be shut off], corridor and washroom doors are original [no seal to public corridor for sound and washroom door would not shut tight]. Bed was firm and comfortable. TV remote did not function to power up TV or control volume. Needs some TLC around the edges.

This is not a fresh or modern facility but the staff was friendly and bed was comfortable. The room was on the smaller side and had just a hanging bar and a folding suitcase stand. It was tight for two people. Breakfast was yogurt, cereal, oranges, oatmeal packets, juice and coffee. Basic all the way around. Expecting much more from a Wyndham property that has a rating of 8/10. Definitely not a 4 star property.

For a one night stay, the room was ok. The bath mat was dirty on one side and the room was smaller. The tv would turn on but since it had direct tv, the direct tv did not work, so the tv did not work. It was affordable for one night but not sure we would stay there again.

This place is terrible. The walls are paper thin. I got to listen to the guy in the next room snore like a freight train all night. The gaps around the door let tons of light and noise in from the hall. The decor looks like something from the 70’s. The floors were sticky…no carpet.

I have stayed at this hotel 4 times in the last 6 weeks. The staff is very polite and friendly. The rooms are very clean too. If I have to stay in town for any reason I will continue to choose this hotel.

Will not stay again! Rooms are outdated and smelt of mold. The walls are warping and it looks like a kindergartener painted the walls. Didn’t sleep at all between the pillows and bed being so bad and all the noise from rooms around us. The service was horrible. One front desk rep barely spoke English, the others the ladies were rude as hell! Terrible attitudes. 2 towels that’s it could we have gotten more!? Who knows never saw anyone “cleaning” (which makes sense) and lord forbid I asked the front desk another question. Check out.. you leave the key cards in a BUCKET at the EMPTY FRONT DESK and get a check out survey on your phone to tell them you left… spent $300 for 2 people for 2 nights for this.

1. Non working blow dryer 2. Light in bathroom after on a short time, started blinking non stop. 2 other lights in room didn’t work properly. 3. Room was not cleaned in our 5 day stay-bedding not changed, sink not wiped out; only things done were garbage emptied and towels replaced. 4. Breakfast?? Hardly any variety of food and difficult to get waffle batter into cup but waffle maker worked well. Then couldn’t get syrup out of container - all stuck!! We didn’t go back for “breakfast “ after first day! 5. A mess up with our reservation too! The employee argued with me that I didn’t extend our stay by one night (we had 3 rooms total at varying days), until she talked to management and then changed her tune. Note: I still need to get home and check to see what all they billed me for. Our leave time: we’ve never stayed where we were asked to give a check out time, but at 8 am, we received an email/text requesting we give a check out time (listed in 15 minute increments). We felt it was rude! Check out time is 11am and since we didn’t have any breakfast, we were gone by 930am, but it felt like we were being pushed out with that check out time request.

I was very disappointed with the hotel by "Wyndham". I am handicapped and there was no elevator. The man helped me take my bag upstairs but there was no one to be found to help bring it downstairs. The bed was ridiculously high off the ground. I had a very hard time getting into it. There was a loud drip outside the window all night and it made it very hard to sleep. The breakfast was quite poor with tables that moved and spilt the coffee. I am not sure why it is affiliated with Wyndham, it is nothing like their properties are like

I checked into the hotel around 10pm and the lady at the front called as soon as we got into the room and was rude saying no visitors was aloud and I tried to inform her that we was just resting for a moment and several of us would be leaving headed back to the hospital to be with my that was unresponsive and she was not nice and said we needed to book anymore room because we had to many people in one room meanwhile her boyfriend and her toddler was roaming the halls and being very loud but yet we couldn’t have 6 people in one room for just a little bit to get us out of the hospital and time to calm down and get our stuff together to go back to be with my mother. Very rude lady and will not be back to that hotel at any point.

Hotel was in close proximity to activities we were doing. Biggest issue I had was brown water when starting shower, entry doors stick terribly and microwave was working for breakfast area (no notice/signage to say such. I felt it was a bit overpriced for what it is!

My goal was to try to stay as close as possible to Point Pleasant West Virginia, I finally found this room in Gallipolis Ohio, but it is on the far side of Gallipolis from West Virginia. The hotel itself is not really located in a busy part of town but rather on the outskirts. It appears the room I stayed in was recently renovated but the renovation work was very poorly done. Other than that, it was a clean room, some stains on the bed covering.

Room was dirty, old, moldy, and Hair was everywhere. The front desk was under construction and people’s information and paperwork was on the desk for everyone to see and no employees around. Online option to pay more for breakfast on some websites and no breakfast at hotel. Walls were thin could hear everything.

Bed was clean and comfortable, hotel didn't have much else. Breakfast was waffles/donuts/cereals, but no eggs, yogurt, or any breakfast meat, no fruit either so not much there. Couldn't get water except for sink or vending machine as there were no water fountains or even a spot to get water from the breakfast area. Staff was pretty friendly. It was cost friendly but i would pick another spot next time.

This place is a dump. The carpet is thread bare in the halls and there's not even carpet in the room. The bathroom walls are cracking, the shower didn't work properly, the breakfast was ultra cheap- nothing hot except waffles. The coffee was weak and awful. They didn't even have water available for breakfast. They didn't help me register for Wyndham points- didn't even put the final price on the bill so points can be calculated since I purchased ahead of time. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL.

We arrived late in the night and were too tired to actually do a thorough inspection of the room. When we woke up in the morning, I discovered black mold on the silicone around the ac unit. The room had an off smell that I thought was the weed/smoke I smelled in the hallway. But it’s more like a wet, mildew smell. I felt awful for letting my children sleep here, especially since my daughter and I both have asthma. We woke up sneezing and coughing. When my husband used the shower, he found a dirty towel folded up in what was suppose to be the clean towels. When I told the man, DK at the front desk about all this, he tried to tell me that the silicone is meant to be black, when we can clearly see for ourselves that the silicone was a weird clear color just speckled in mold. He apologized and told me I would have to request a refund through whoever I made the booking with, but that he would only give me $20 back. Glad we stayed long enough to make up for some of the money back by having waffles, but that was basically all they had for breakfast. Along with some Raisin Bran cereal, couple muffins and toast, plus juice and coffee. Their online pictures do a good job of trying to trick you into thinking this place is nice. They may be making improvements, but they still have a long way to go. We only stayed here for 1 night, because we are roadtripping and it was the closest hotel with vacancy to the Mothman Statue.
