Loved this Hotel. Great bedrooms, nice food especially if you were able to eat down in the cellar, good breakfasts, extremely helpful service and everyone spoke English. Perfect location for walking to everything in Trier and good parking nearby to leave your car for a day or two.

Super Lage, mitten in der Innenstadt von Trier. Das Hotel und das Zimmer waren sehr sauber und gemütlich. Das zum Hotel gehörige Wirtshaus hatte eine gute Speisekarte und die Speisen waren hervorragend. Das Personal war in allen Bereichen sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Einziger Nachteil ist, durch die Lage geschuldet, dass das Hotel keinen eigenen Parkplatz hat.

This boutique hotel is a few minutes from the Christmas market, Porta Niagara, St Peter's Cathedral, restaurants, etc. We stayed in the large Glockensuite which was fabulous. The staff was very helpful. Breakfast was delicious and included with the room. Overnight parking is available at the Mercure Porta Niagara garage.

Hotellet, der er et mindre hotel, er beliggende i en gågade, så parkering foregår på en offentligt parkering 8 - 10 minutter væk fra hotellet. Hotellets indgang og reception er ganske almindelig. Værelserne er til gengæld helt fantastisk indrettet. Afstemning af farver og inventar kan ikke gøres meget bedre. Der er desværre ikke aircondition og om sommeren bliver det meget varmt i værelset. Det er ikke nok at åbne vinduerne og åbne vinduer mod gadesiden er påvirket af meget støj. Servicen er i højsædet ligesom renligheden. Morgenmaden er ikke noget særligt.

The Hotel is terrific for access to the downtown walk Platz. The parking isn’t desirable as it’s a garage about a quarter mile away. The air conditioning didn’t work 2 of the nights which made sleeping uncomfortable given it was hot, but I don’t think that’s a usual thing and I let them know upon checkout. Overall I rate this hotel very high as it’s beautiful.

Liked the hotel but wouldn’t stay here again because there is no parking. Who runs a hotel but doesn’t have any place to park nor any real valet service. Guests must park in a garage several blocks away and roll their luggage through cobblestone streets to get to the hotel. Hotel offers NO ASSISTANCE whatsoever and acts like this is normal??? Very Strange.

Hotel central, de fácil acesso aos principais pontos turísticos, sem estacionamento o que foi um pequeno inconveniente. Quarto amplo, limpo e lindo, com ótima decoração. Pequeno café da manhã porém o suficiente. Na hora do check out não percebi que era às 11h e como tinha que pegar o carro num parking distante antes de sair com as malas, me atrasei achando que estava no horário, passei 35 minutos, fazendo check out às 11:35h sendo cobrado 20 euros como “late check out”. Confesso que reduziu a minha “paixão” pelo hotel. Restaurante muito bom no local, vale a pena. A toalha de banho é pequena e não tem frigobar no quarto, recepção fecha às 20h, no mais só elogios.

Et helt vidunderligt hotel med perfekt beliggenhed i hjertet af Trier. Værelset var smukt, rent og meget meget charmerende indrettet. Vi kunne ikke have ønsket os et bedre sted for vores tredages ophold. Eneste lille bitte detalje, man skal være bevidst om, er, at hotellet ligge i en gågade, og at man derfor ikke kan køre helt op til hotellet. Vi fandt et offentligt P-hus i kort gåafstand fra hotellet og oplevede det derfor ikke som et problem. Vi kan på alle måder anbefale stedet, og er ikke i tvivl om, at vi vil bo præcis samme sted, næste gang vi skal til Trier.

Absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel. Excellent: location, clean, updated, convenient. The very personable and accomodating staff made the difference. Perhaps the best of any hotel in which I've stayed. From the very beginning they went out of their way to be accomodating for my gluten-free wife, and family. The breakfast buffet was delicious and enormous. We were extremely pleased with our stay here and I highly recommend this place.

Great stay, great location. The staff went above and beyond. They offered champagne upon arrival, there was a cookie/fruit basket with water in the room. The room was very clean and elegant. The bathroom was very clean, shower amazing with great water pressure and there even was a scale (remember multiple 2.2 KG to convert to pounds). They even provided a shoe horn (something I have never seen). There was a private entrance and amazing breakfast provided (with great staff) and a huge selection. Upon check in the hostess drew us a map on where to visit and what to see. Great old Roman ruins everywhere and Christmas markets! We dined at the restaurant and the food was amazing, just make sure you make a reservation first and ask to see the room in the basement which looks like a medieval dungeon turned restaurant! At check out they gave us a gift jar of jam to finish off a great stay. We highly recommend the Romantik Hotel Zur Glocke!

Die Dame an der Rezeption war sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Das Zimmer war super ordentlich und das Bett sehr bequem. Es fehlte lediglich eine kleine Minibar. Das Frühstück war sehr köstlich.

Great hotel centrally located in the old town. Short walk to all the sights. Large, beautifully appointed room with superb view. Excellent, thoughtful service from all the staff. Great breakfast. Great restaurant on the first floor was a plus. We were very happy that we found it!

Lovely hotel, amazing service and brilliant rooms. Backs onto busy road so can be loud in morning if you get a room that faces the street, would stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Romantik Hotel zur Glocke. Every detail in our suite felt above and beyond what we expected. Wunderschönes, historisches Hotel im Zentrum von Trier. Perfekt ausgestattete Zimmer; wirken wie frisch renoviert. Ruhige Lage in der Randlage der Fußgängerzone, aber trotzdem mit dem PKW sehr gut zu erreichen.Üppiges Frühstücksbuffet. Sehr freundliches Personal. Werde sicherlich wieder bei meinem nächsten Trierbesuch hier übernachten. :-)

The service at the hotel was excellent. They let us check in a couple of hours early without even having to ask. Breakfast was included and had lots of options including eggs to order and champagne. They also gave a jar of local jam upon checkout. Don’t miss the restaurant in the basement.

My family loved our stay at Romantic Hotel! We stayed in two deluxe rooms and they were beautiful and spacious. The hotel provided an arrival gift -- fresh fruit, chocolates, and water. There was a little noise from the street in the evening but it quieted at bedtime. The staff was very helpful and went above and beyond to fix an issue with a missing key. The buffet breakfast was delicious. Overall, we had a great stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone coming to Trier.

Absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel. Excellent: location, clean, updated, convenient. The very personable and accomodating staff made the difference. Perhaps the best of any hotel in which I've stayed. From the very beginning they went out of their way to be accomodating for my gluten-free wife, and family. The breakfast buffet was delicious and enormous. We were extremely pleased with our stay here and I highly recommend this place.

Great stay, great location. The staff went above and beyond. They offered champagne upon arrival, there was a cookie/fruit basket with water in the room. The room was very clean and elegant. The bathroom was very clean, shower amazing with great water pressure and there even was a scale (remember multiple 2.2 KG to convert to pounds). They even provided a shoe horn (something I have never seen). There was a private entrance and amazing breakfast provided (with great staff) and a huge selection. Upon check in the hostess drew us a map on where to visit and what to see. Great old Roman ruins everywhere and Christmas markets! We dined at the restaurant and the food was amazing, just make sure you make a reservation first and ask to see the room in the basement which looks like a medieval dungeon turned restaurant! What a wonderful find. Stopped here for just an overnight and totally impressed. The location can’t be beat… away from most of the nightlife but close enough if you want to partake. From the greeting at check in to the fantastic dinner, our stay could not have been better. We highly recommend this location !

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. It is very convenient to the Christmas market and in a central location to get around the major sites. The room was very comfortable with a nice bathroom and walk in shower. There is a taxi stand not even 5 minutes away although we walked most everywhere. The hotel staff were very kind and welcoming which made our stay memorable. In particular, Sylvia at the reception desk went above and beyond to help us with last minute dinner reservations at the hotel. We had a wonderful dinner thanks to her! I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

We got to stay in that room that juts out over the street. It was divine. Super staff. Great breakfast including an omelette! Beautiful room with lovely bath and sparkling wine and snacks upon arrival. Great price for the rooms too! ❤️

Great location!10-15min walk from the train station. No elevator was available for our use, but no problems getting up to our room. When we first walked into the room, we were overjoyed to see such a charming and very nicely decorated room after coming from a chain hotel in Stuttgart and Wurzburg. Nice size room and bathroom. We chose not to have our rooms cleaned daily during our 3 day stay (environmentally unnecessary ) and each day the house staff left clean towels, and a new bottle of water outside even though we did not need it. What a nice touch! The reception staff person who checked us in and out was very welcoming and warm! Breakfast buffet and service was wonderfuI! I would definitely stay here again! Charming family run hotel and restaurant! The main restaurant on the Ground floor was wonderful with great German food and service! However the same could not be said about the restaurant in the cellar. AVOID and don't waste your time! Same food as the regular restaurant upstairs but we thought we would give that restaurant a try because of it's ambience and history. It was beautiful but the service was HORRIBLE! I felt sorry for the server who was the only one down there with another person helping him. Took us over 30min to get our menu and almost as long to get our drinks. We were there for over 2 hours from start to end and most of that time was waiting to get served and noticed!!! 2 other tables who came after us left after having a similar experience of waiting.
