My wife and I recently stayed at the Victoria Inn and found it to be a cozy and welcoming place. The accommodations were different from what we’re used to in the States, but still very comfortable. Downstairs there’s a restaurant and bar where we enjoyed a couple of hearty breakfasts, including the classic English breakfast—these were included with our stay, which was a nice touch. For American travelers, the showers may take a little getting used to. Instead of a single handle, you’ll find two knobs to adjust the temperature, plus the nozzle itself. It was a bit tricky at first, but easy enough once I got the hang of it. Overall, we were satisfied with our stay. A quick note on the area: the hotel is located in Peckham, which has a reputation for being a bit rough around the edges. While the immediate surroundings of the hotel felt calm and safe, it’s wise to exercise some caution if you’re walking farther out. All in all, a pleasant experience.

Lovely, comfortable and clean room. Coffee machine, kettle and bottles of water available for free. Really welcoming, helpful and friendly staff. Location was great and only a few minutes walk from station. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

The room was a little in need of an upgrade and redecoration but was fit for purpose and to bd fair, it appears that there is an ongoing programme to upgrade the rooms as 2 were having new carpets fitted.

We found the Victoria Inn wonderful...staff was so accomodating to all our needs both in hotel and bar...room was spacious and clean and well equipped with coffee and other condiments...and also bathroon...would recommend this Inn to family and friends

Very friendly staff, room comfortable with air conditioning which was definitely needed and already on when we got into the room. Room no 5 is on the front of the hotel so a little noisy. In a lovely area with nice cafe and restaurants within walking distance.

We stayed in room 2, twin room with 2 very soft and comfortable single beds. Great room, ample space for our suitcases, big bathtub with both rainfall shower and a regular shower. Windows could be opened and were protected by window bars so felt comfortable leaving the windows open whilst sleeping. Flatscreen tv with a selection of channels, kettle with a selection of teas and a pod coffee machine. Hairdryer in the wardrobe just inside the door was a lifesaver as I had forgotten to bring my own. Expected to be somewhat disturbed by the pub on the ground floor as it was a Saturday night, however we didn't notice any noise. In fact the only noise we heard came through the open windows from the bar just up the street. Breakfast was really lovely, much better than expected. The smoked salmon was really good quality, which is very rare to come by anywhere. If we had to add a note of something that could be improved, it would be the lighting in the main room. There is only a small ceiling lamp that provides fairly low light, so doing my hair after dark in the mirror by the beds was a bit of a challenge. Not an issue during daytime as there were 3 windows providing ample daylight.

Kept waiting absolutely ages to check in. No queue, just something ahead of me taking an extrodinarily long time to sort out. Finally got to the room and it was freezing cold. I would expect rooms with booking to be warm and comfortable. I had to ise the fan heater all evening and left it on all night. To top it all, the room (9) was very noisy, from what looks like the kitchen extractor machinery. This was my second stay here, the first one was great but this time was really not good value, for a cold noisy room, especially as the price has significantly increased.

This is a charming pub hotel in a quieter area of Peckham. Easy walk to Peckham Rye station, and lots of bus routes to different parts of London. There really aren't other hotels in this area making for a pleasant surprise that the Victoria Inn is well kept and comfortable option. The breakfast was delicious, and staff friendly & helpful. My room was quiet and I was never bothered by noise from the pub below. Would definitely stay again!

This is a charming pub hotel in a quieter area of Peckham. Easy walk to Peckham Rye station, and lots of bus routes to different parts of London. My wife and I recently stayed at the Victoria Inn and found it to be a cozy and welcoming place. The accommodations were different from what we’re used to in the States, but still very comfortable. For American travelers, the showers may take a little getting used to. Instead of a single handle, you’ll find two knobs to adjust the temperature, plus the nozzle itself. It was a bit tricky at first, but easy enough once I got the hang of it. Overall, we were satisfied with our stay. A quick note on the area: the hotel is located in Peckham, which has a reputation for being a bit rough around the edges. While the immediate surroundings of the hotel felt calm and safe, it’s wise to exercise some caution if you’re walking farther out. All in all, a pleasant experience.

Disappointing experience, it's hard to imagine this room costs £180. The floor creaks. The air conditioner is broken, the safe has no batteries, and the air conditioner remote has no batteries. The room is small, and there is guitar playing downstairs early in the morning, making it impossible to sleep. The sound insulation is poor, and you can often hear laughter from the next room. The hallway is very narrow. It feels damp. It is also far from the city center. I would definitely not choose this hotel again. The price of around £180 is ridiculously expensive for what you get.Moreover, breakfast is not included.

Lovely room with all the amenities. No noise from the pub below or the street. Air conditioning was a real bonus given the hot weather. Ate in the pub the first evening both food and service was good. Nice to have a “quiet side” away from music and pub atmosphere. Excellent stay.

In my opinion, the breakfast is not worth the price. The hotel offers mostly pre-prepared dishes with very limited choices, and unfortunately, the options listed for allergies are not actually available in practice, as the dishes are already prepared and the chef is unable to make any changes. I paid for breakfast because I was assured that there would be suitable options for my son’s allergies. However, when we actually had breakfast, there were essentially no suitable options available, so we could not have breakfast. When I requested a refund for the breakfast that I had paid for but was unable to use, my request was refused. As a result, I ended up paying for a breakfast that I could not eat. I find this particularly disappointing because I had informed the hotel about the allergies in advance and had specifically been assured that suitable options would be available. The building is also quite old and, in my opinion, the hotel is far too expensive for the facilities, services and overall quality it provides.
