Night out in Glasgow to watch SA V England. Booked the hotel before reading some of the previous reviews and then thought should i cancel but only one night so ventured forth. On arrivel on the website said 4pm booked in but we arrived at 3pm and staff were happy to inform us that was okay and checkout was later at 11am. Staff were very friendly and helpful and room was tidy and clean though alittle on the small side would be my only issue. Also bar was closed due to upgrade apparently but there is a pub restuarnt right oppsite the hotel. Actually not a bad stay at all and would book it again BTW the parking next door is half price if you saty at the hotel and they endorse the ticket.

Lifts were slow or not working.

Travelocity says this hotel offers “FREE WIFI” but it’s NOT free on your room. The main profile says FREE WIFI but I shouldn’t have to read the fine print terms to see that the free wifi is only in the small lobby. They said I have to pay for wifi in my room.

Room Service is only applicable to stays greater than 4 nights. No air con or fan, nor did the windows open more than a few inches. Temporary issue with restaurant being closed due to refurbishment but overall pretty uncomfortable stay with no food or drink options available, no room service or housekeeping during the stay.

Pretty convenient for the purpose (close to where I was attending a gig) but it's clear that there's a level of investment required here. At the risk of sounding a bit savage, it felt like stepping back to the year 2000 - the room just felt a little tired & dated. In the end, comfortable enough for a night, not so sure I'd want to do more than that! The staff I dealt with were cracking, if a little overworked that day with a football match being on in town leading to them getting a bit of heat. Now we come onto the problem - the lifts. On check in one lift wasn't functioning properly & on check out the one I was in broke down too. These lifts need an overhaul & honestly, if I return I will not use them & unless they're serviced fully or ideally replaced, I wouldn't advise anyone else to do so!

The hotel was dirty. The only thing that was clean was the new covers and towels you get. The peephole had no cover so anyone could peep into your room, the doors did not have an extra lock or anything from the inside, so someone could easily get into your room. The roof of the rooms had obvious signs of leaks. There were only two working elevators which would take a really long time, it was much faster to walk down the stairs from the 7th floor rather than wait for the elevator.

Needed a quick room for the night. Very basic hotel . Not very clean.

Stayed here due to a cancelled train. Paid £130 for the pleasure. Bed was stained and plug hole was completely blocked by hairs. Not sure when it was cleaned. Won't be rushing back anytime soon.

Run down ex-premier inn The whole experience was very poor. There was Long line to check in, with one staff member on duty. No online check-in terminals here! Two out of three lifts were out of service on arrival. The decor was dated and shabby through out the hotel. The place don’t seem clean or invested in by the owners. The room was small and dirty: marks and splashes on the all the walls, layers of dust on skirting/ headboard etc; the bathroom was so horrible and smelled of urine so I purchased cleaning products to wash the floor, toilet and surfaces. Black mould present on the grouting and around the bath. The shower itself was powerful and water always warm. The Carpet had not adequately been vacuumed recently, if at all and had multiple stains and was well worn! I really must warn you to avoid this hotel if at all possible! If it’s a short visit and you are ok with a basic budget hotel with no frills then you might survive! I wasn’t! I only stayed here as it was one of few places that had available rooms and it’s is markedly cheaper (wonder why?!) than most other city centre hotels. It seems to double as a homeless shelter and asylum accommodation and visiting trades people. Luckily I was out most of my stay and didn’t have to spend much time in the room or hotel!

Considering this hotel is fairly cheap for where it’s situated I can’t help but think that there should still be a basic level of cleanliness in the rooms. The toilet hadn’t been flushed and the drain in the bath was covered in black hair that I had to pick out in order to have a shower. There was dust everywhere, it was as if whoever cleaned it had just cleaned the surfaces they thought necessary. As a housekeeper myself I understand having lots of rooms to clean can be fairly stressful, but that shouldn’t mean you neglect to clean the rooms properly. Can’t say I’ll be staying there again any time soon.

I booked this property thinking it had free WiFi in the room. Came to find out that free Wifi was only included in the Mezzanine common area and if you wanted Wifi in the room you would need to pay £7/ device / day. The room itself was dirty and needs a makeover. It had a funky smell and the carpet / bathroom floor did not appear to be properly cleaned. There are only 3 elevator banks, and only 2 of them work, so be prepared to wait 5 minutes for elevator. I was in this hotel for 1 week and housekeeping never came. On day 5 I asked the front desk to send housekeeping as I needed new towels and my garbage to be emptied. I watched them write my room number down on a pad and was told they will clean it. I got back at night and the room still had not been visited. Housekeeping never came. Lastly there was no hot water throughout the hotel for almost 24 hours. There was no sense of urgency to fix and poor communication. This hotel is one of if not the worst hotel I have ever stayed. The way it is managed is so poor, and clearly management and the owners have no care for their customers and their staff who have to operate in this conditions. The only silver lining was SOME of the staff being lovely and understanding of the conditions their guests were staying in. I would never stay here again, no matter the price or location. Highly recommend that you consider other options before booking this hotel, especially if you’ll be staying for more than one night.

So very dirty £109 for one night stay, it was filthy blood up the walls in our room. Disgusting.

The room has bedbugs. I've taken a photo and video of it. Location is good. Staff are very friendly. The carpet in the hallway isn't laid down properly so it's uneven in places.

Bedsheets were stained. Curtains were stained. No soap in dispenser. Staff at reception were not helpful. Lift were not working. Dirty from inside. Overall unpleasant.

I had a terrible experience at this hotel. Over a 4-night stay, the bed sheets were never changed, and there was no room cleaning at all — not even basic housekeeping in the morning. Towels were not replaced, and despite requesting it, toilet tissue was never provided on the third day. The room lacked even a basic telephone, making communication with the front desk difficult. To make matters worse, the receptionist was rude and unhelpful when we raised these issues. Overall, a very poor experience. I would not recommend staying here.

Stayed here for 2 nights and did not enjoy it one bit. First off it was by the road so very noisy,especially at night! The bathroom fan was also extremely noisy and continued throughout our whole stay. The room was very hot and the windows did not open. We were not informed about the wifi situation at all and then found out we would be charged an extra £7 a day for wifi, in which the staff did not inform us. The staff customer service was mediocre at best. Wallpaper coming off the wall. Cleaner came in without any warning could have been doing anything, there was no do not disturb things to be able to stop this and we were asleep as he came in. The lift was absolutely disgusting, filthy floors, dirty mirrors, empty bottles i could go on and on. They did not seem to care for their job or show much hospitality for guests. Although the hotel was cheap it was not worth the money spent. Definitely won’t be coming back.

The room was spacious but we had to go to reception to get access to the wifi and there was also no signal for the tv cable. Also, the online site is not updated, the check-in and check out times were different.

Fine functional room. Bit tired looking but clean. Bathroom has an actual bath and shower curtain with mixer tap. Air conditioning not adjustable, heater either on or off, no temperature control. TV probably 20 years old but full set of Freeview available. Kettle with coffee and tea supplied. Lift can take a while to arrive as heavily used. 12 floor hotel. We were on the 9th and the view was great over to the west. One thing to note is that the hotel seems to be a hostel for fast food delivery operatives and there are loads of the bikes chained up outside with many of the operatives kicking about the hotel. Make of that what you will. Didn't use the bar or restaurant so can't comment on that. Check in was fine but the ragged piece of paper we received with our key card and room number felt very low rent.

I was staying on my own, after being at a gig, and for only one night, so my requirements were limited. The hotel is quite central and about 20 minutes walk to the OVO Hydro. The bed was comfortable, with four pillows. The shower was functional but was in the bath. I prefer a separate unit. The room was small, with a 14" tv, but as I was not spending much time in the room this didn't matter to me. The air conditioner made a buzzing noise that made it a little difficult getting to sleep, but once asleep I slept well. This might have been more of an issue if I was a lighter sleeper. There did not seem to be any way to get a late night snack, and the coffee was freeze dried unlabelled stuff. That said, I did see a Deliveroo employee going into the lift with an order. I didn't have breakfast at the hotel as it was extra. It wasn't an expensive booking, and ok for the price. For a single night I'd use it again, but I will look elsewhere first.

Couldnt sleep properly with the noise of wind and breezy windows not very soundproofed and the constant fan in the bathroom overall if i was to stay again it wouldnt be a room at he front, worse sleep ive had in a hotel in a long time.

In principle, everything is good, enough for one night. The beds were large and comfortable. The downside was that you couldn't open the window and there was little tea - only 2 tea bags.

Staff were excellent and very friendly. For being literally on top of a train station, it is very quiet, and I really wasn't aware of any disturbance. Rooms are relatively basic and quite dated, with the associated poor plug socket availability, and I did have an issue with an unsecured curtain rail coming off the wall - thankfully easily resolved, but added a bit of stress to the stay.

I regularly stay in this hotel for shopping. I love the hotel staff, they know that I have very little time to spend in Glasgow so they let me check in early.

The staff are excellent. The lady who was on duty from early in the day until afternoon is so friendly and she deals with customers so well including difficult customers. She’s always pleasant and helpful.

Lovely staff, very friendly, prompt with requests for extra towels, etc. We ended up having to add an extra night, and it was extremely easy to do so, no need to switch rooms. Will definitely stay again.

It was a bit overpriced in my opinion. Also when i arrived the receptionist had her head down reading something. Waited a few mins then said Evening to get her attention. Although she was very polite and helpful.

Helpful staff great location

I recently stayed at this hotel for 10 days. The staff at the reception were professional, welcoming, and always had a smile. I want to give special thanks to the two ladies who checked me in on the evening of September 22nd. My room was spacious and had all the basic necessities. I was glad to find an electric kettle, something that I have not found in other hotels in Glasgow (hard to believe, right?). Overall, I enjoyed my stay, but I was disappointed with the cleaning staff. Firstly, they didn't clean the room every day, even after reminding them every morning before 9 am. Additionally, when they did clean the room, they never replaced the used cups despite my daily requests at the reception. The way they made the bed looked like it was done by children. After a hard day at work, I expected the room to be immaculate. I'm not fussy, and I understand if they miss one or two things, but it seems like the cleaning department and the cleaning manager have not set any standards for the staff. Would I stay there again? Probably yes, as the reception staff were professional and met the customer's requirements.

The staff at the property are friendly and serviceable, but prior to our stay never answered emails with basic questions. Also the room was very small and outdated, tv size was the same as my laptop and there are very few outlets to charge various devices at the same time.

Hotel manger Monika is very helpful as I requested for twin bed but I found out that I did not mentioned on my booking. Rooms included free WiFi and location is good , just next to Charing Cross station and 15 mins walk to GLA central area.

The hotel is a little tired but very convenient for the city centre.

A reasonable priced place to stay which was clean and in waking distance to transport links. Very walkable distance to the city centre too. Near shops and very good choices of different cuisines.

Close to the west end and to transport but hidden away down a back street.

My latest stay here and was on the top floor this time, meaning I had a brilliant view. Perfect to see how close it was to The Hydro where I was going to a concert. I usually get the train to the hotel but as I had a liitle time from my bus arriving and my check-in I decided to walk from Buchanan Bus station. It was closer than I thought to the city centre.

On the availabilities for a bar and restaurant. None. Breakfast was available but not a pleasent experience when staff members are arguing and swearing at each other... all because the eggs were finished and no one took away the banemarie and bring more for the residents... the apple juice was so watered down it was the colour of apple but tasted of water. The milk and coffee satchets in the room was out of date... bit of a shambles really... One bright spot... A fan was provided in the room and window open but secure as the room was very hot.

It was a very basic room. A bit too warm. The bed was very comfortable. The shower was the best feature. The breakfast was cold..all in all not worth the £100 i was charged.

Great location and the room was comfortable enough. Shower was very poor and the lift was a joke (considering we were on the 11th floor). Breakfast was a total shambles - no clean tables to sit at, coffee was undrinkable, no staff in sight at all and the food was barely edible.

Hotel is well placed for train food outlets pubs and shopping. 10am checkout was quite early when breakfast is on until 10am. Could have done with 11am, as check in is not until 4pm.Breakfast was really great good quality food. Chef lovely.

This was the most terrible stay I have ever had in my life. Bar / restaurant both out of use ( not told at cheek in or stated when booking. Asked for bottle of water which I was told we Don’t have you can use your tap water in your bathroom ( which was not clean in fact the room was disgusting ) the told you can got to the shop no direction given. Also not stated that this hotel also houses refugees and homeless people again if info was given I would have not booked this Due to passed experience. I was shouted at when out side hotel by one said homeless person as I would not hand over a cigarette. Police was also arresting some else in the evening due to fighting. Not the experience I want to have more so when I have my Daughter with me.

The Breakfast was good. The room was old, damaged and the bar was closed at 8pm
