Front desk was very responsive to our inquiries. Airport transfer arranged with them was efficient and cost effective. We didn’t arrange any tours through them. Bed and couch were comfortable. Biscotti were available, but breakfast service wasn’t offered early enough for us to enjoy prior to our Vatican tour.

My husband and I stayed here in September 2025. What an amazing gem! The building itself is amazing and so well kept. The service here is better than any 5-star high end hotel you will find. Anything you might need, they have it or will help you with whatever you might need. It was raining while we were there and they provided us with umbrellas and I overheard them being so helpful with all of the other guests as well. Extremely walkable location. Many shops and restaurants close by. We walked to all of the attractions as well. The breakfast was outstanding. So fresh and an amazing selection of items. Every day, they also have a whole table full of snacks, free for anytime you need a little something - homemade baking, fresh coffee, nuts, it was such a nice touch. They also offer a private shuttle to the airport for almost the same price as a taxi - which I highly recommend. They arrange it all for you. Very clean. Highly recommend this property!

The staff are amazing, and the breakfast and snacks are great! The breakfast has plenty of options and the staff will bring you lattes. There seemed to be coffee and tea available all day with snacks out at all times. I cannot express enough how wonderful the staff are. Very helpful! Including the info to walk up to a local cab station to catch a cab as otherwise you will be charged more (for their drive to the hotel). The bathrooms are spacious, and the rooms were clean. This hotel is in a building that also has private housing, so make sure you shut the entrance doors to the building and close your curtains if you have windows that look into the private homes. If you use a washcloth, you will need to bring your own. This is common in part of Europe, so it's smart to bring your own washcloth. There are several dining options in the area, we really enjoyed San Marco. It isn't the closest for walking to everything you may want to see/experience, but the short distance to the taxi station is very helpful for getting around. I have some mobility issues and was grateful to be within a few blocks of the taxi station. I highly recommend this property.

Love this place! Two ways to enter/exist hotel. A crazy old time elevator to use, but it works well. Street is beat up, dingy and dirty, but once you’re inside it’s very “niice”. We walked this area at night and Borghese area is higher class. The American consulate is just down the road too. The rooms are nicely decorated, but on small side with king bed. I would recommend the next room size if available. Only caveat is finding the place. There is no big sign, just look for the 4 large pillars and rod iron door. Push button for Lucrezia and a very nice man will guide you. Ciao

Nelson was the best host ever! Our 2 night stay was wonderful and we felt like we were in our family’s home. Room was very pretty with a beautiful balcony and there was a 24 hour snack station with nuts, pastries, and coffee. Location was good if you want to be a on a quiet street but within walking distance of great restaurants and shops.

100-year-old stately building with lots of charm and character. The room was very comfortable and quiet. The service was great, including the breakfast! Loved they had an honesty bar (although we did not use) and the bottle of wine was a nice souvenir to sample later with fond memories.

We stayed here for one night and were very pleased with our experience. Everything was very clean, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The only minor drawback was the lift, it’s a bit old-school, but works just fine. Also, just note that the entrance is on the second floor, which we initially missed, but it all worked out in the end. We’re happy to recommend this place!

Quaint hotel in a good location within walking distance of the Spanish steps and trevi fountain. The room was a fair size and the bed very comfy. Could use a thorough cleaning as we found the drapes hanging off their hooks, soap scum and buildup in the shower and dust on the walls. Also didn’t like the fact that there were renovations taking place in the building. The staff were super helpful as I think they need to be since the hotel is on the second floor and there is only one old fashion elevator to service the hotel. Overall enjoyed the hotel, a bit different that what we are used to and the breakfast was really good.

This hotel is worth the cost. It’s in a historic building, quaint, and very Roman feel. The service is amazing. The cons for me were they sprayed some sort of cleaner on the fabric headboard and soon as I layed down I was coughing from the chemical smell, I had to sleep with my head the other way. I didn’t mention as we were there only one night. I also felt it was a bit remote but others might like that.

I can’t say enough good things about this property. It’s not a traditional hotel—it feels more like an elegant bed and breakfast. Donna Lucrezia has just 16 rooms housed in a charming historic building that it shares with a few upscale offices. There’s even a beautiful antique elevator that takes you up to the guest floors. The rooms are exceptionally clean, newly remodeled, and beautifully styled—a perfect blend of classic charm and modern comfort. The staff are genuinely welcoming and always eager to help. The area itself feels incredibly safe and peaceful, located right next to Villa Borghese. We loved the location; it’s one of the few places in the city not overrun with tourists. I will never stay anywhere else in Rome.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! It’s in a great historical location, just a short walk from Piazza Barberini, Villa Borghese, the Spanish Steps, and Trevi Fountain. Our room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of variety, and the staff were exceptionally polite and welcoming. The breakfast spread is very good. Appreciate the clean and good smelling room. They changed the towels everyday and made the beds everyday! The location is great as it is close to many tourist spots. We had an amazing experience.

The hotel has great character with antiques and old fashioned lift. Nice touches with free snacks, coffee machine and good breakfast (Nelson who is the host cares and is a good cook). The drains did however smell which was unpleasant and overall expensive. Great location though.

What was great: Location, quiet area, and especially Rebecca, who checked us in, and also served us breakfast the next morning. She was sweet, helpful and such a great cook! What was not great: Room and bathroom cleanliness. Room was dated with unkempt furniture that had stains. Bathroom was very dusty, shower door was not clean, and shower had signs of disrepair. Disappointing for a Relais branded hotel.

The hotel is in a wonderful area, very walkable and it's on the 5th floor with an elevator, so away from street noise. The staff are friendly. However, inside the room it was very noisy. The walls are thin and you can hear the people in adjacent rooms, in the hallway and the kitchen and front desk.

Initial impression was a typical Roman hotel in a 160 year old building. However, bedroom was very large with a very modern bathroom. Nice little balcony overlooking street below. Breakfast was very nice and service was very personal.

Great location, best breakfast, the only downside was I am a light sleeper, and the noise from the street was loud. I slept with a brown noise YouTube video and earplugs. The hotel itself was wonderful and I highly recommend it to any deep sleepers.

One of our favorite hotels on our Italy trip. The room was HUGE and the balcony was perfect. Roomy bathroom as well, and the shower doors that slide sideways instead of opening outwards was a game changer. The breakfast was the best I’ve ever had in a bed and breakfast (eggs omg). Helpful staff who answered our questions and helped ordering our taxi. Having Netflix on the TV was great too. Great AC too! Some hotels we stayed in we couldn’t lower our AC which was awful but here we had control of it which was perfect. Close to the Spanish steps but out of the noise and crowds. Actually loved this area most in Rome. Quiet but still alive and really pretty. Food options nearby and still walkable to everything in town (only thing too far is the Vatican). Best bed and breakfast I’ve stayed in, felt homey but still like a hotel yet still personal. Must stay in Rome.
One of our favorite hotels on our Italy trip. The room was HUGE and the balcony was perfect. Roomy bathroom as well, and the shower doors that slide sideways instead of opening outwards was a game changer. The breakfast was the best I’ve ever had in a bed and breakfast (eggs omg). Helpful staff who answered our questions and helped ordering our taxi. Having Netflix on the TV was great too. Great AC too! Some hotels we stayed in we couldn’t lower our AC which was awful but here we had control of it which was perfect. Close to the Spanish steps but out of the noise and crowds. Actually loved this area most in Rome. Quiet but still alive and really pretty. Food options nearby and still walkable to everything in town (only thing too far is the Vatican). We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! It’s in a great historical location, just a short walk from Piazza Barberini, Villa Borghese, the Spanish Steps, and Trevi Fountain. Our room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of variety, and the staff were exceptionally polite and welcoming. Perfect spot close to the city center — highly recommend!

Check in is a bit wonky since you have to go to the 2nd floor of a building that has no signage for hotel. After that all smooth. Small room - as expected. Clean. Great breakfast. Wonderful staff. Would stay again for a few days.

We loved our stay at this hotel. Very cute and cozy. The breakfast was excellent and the staff so nice and helpful. We needed an early check in as our flight got in very early and they made it work for us and allowed us to check in at 9:30am (which is un heard of) they even allowed us to get breakfast as soon as we checked in. We were so thankful as we were exhausted from our trip and needed sleep. I would definitely come back to this hotel.

The resort is in a great location, and the rooms are comfortable. The resort does offer airport transportation, but it comes at a premium cost. I recommend using a city taxi instead, as it’s much more affordable. Be aware that the resort will not voluntarily mention this option and will try to promote their own service, even if you ask directly. We experienced an issue with our Expedia reservation, where our children were listed as under one year old. The resort was able to accommodate us, but at an additional nightly cost. They did offer free breakfast for the kids, which was a nice gesture, although the options are quite limited if you do not eat pork. Still, it was nice to have a small bite before heading out for the day. One concern was the attitude of the manager, Nelson. When issues were raised, he became very defensive and even intimidating, raising his voice instead of listening to feedback. He seems very protective of the establishment and unwilling to accept constructive criticism. Another point to note is that the city tax must be paid in cash only, which felt a bit inconvenient and questionable. Overall, the location, rooms, and frobt line staff with the exception of Nelson were great, but there are areas where the service experience could be improved.

The transportation was excellent. Tony is a polite and skillful driver. He helped with our bags at both ends. Nelson at the hotel is a true treasure. He was accommodating in every way, guided us to our room after hours and presided over an excellent buffet breakfast.

The only positive is that the staff were polite and made good accommodation for extra bed space. The staff members were present for only short period on the premise (no staff during evening and night). We were charged an extra fee for late check in (after 8pm) due to lack of staff. Water heater broke during our stay and there was no communication until we asked in the morning, leaving us with cold showers. Staff gave different answers and it wasn't fixed for the whole day. Breakfast had limited options for vegetarians. Hotel is outdated and does not meet expectations of a modern stay.

This hotel is worth the cost. It’s in a historic building, quaint, and very Roman feel. The service is amazing. The cons for me were they sprayed some sort of cleaner on the fabric headboard and soon as I layed down I was coughing from the chemical smell, I had to sleep with my head the other way. I didn’t mention as we were there only one night. I also felt it was a bit remote but others might like that.

Overall Room is clean however the the location is not at the center of the city. The building is very close to the one next to it so its lack of privacy. We Lost one key and have to replaced with $5. Front desk is not 24/7. We will definitely stay at a 4 star or above hotel next time visit.

Fantastic location in Rome, walking distance to the Spanish steps and pretty much everywhere in Rome. The staff however weren’t very helpful, or good with communication and on our arrival day we found it extremely hard to access the property due to a public holiday - something like this should be emailed to customers prior so they know the check in process for the day. The buffet breakfast was terrible, and there seemed to never been any staff around. I tried booking in tours prior to arrival with the property and they kept referring me to Viator, however once we arrived they had a book filled with tours they run and when asked I was advised they aren’t running which was very disappointing. Overall great location and the room was clean and tidy, however staff and management could be better.

Chef prepared breakfast was delicious. There is something new everyday. I especially love the roasted abergine and zucchini. The potatoes divine! Jason at happy hour was incredibly kind and helpful. I appreciated his efforts on my behalf.

Front desk was very responsive to our inquiries. Airport transfer arranged with them was efficient and cost effective. We didn’t arrange any tours through them. Bed and couch were comfortable. We absolutely loved our stay here! The location was great and the room was so much bigger and more comfortable than we expected. You can really tell how much thought and care the owners put into all the little details. What we loved most was how warm and welcoming everyone was. It honestly felt more like staying with family than staying at a hotel. There was so much care and personal attention throughout our stay, which made the experience really special. And the breakfast was SO good! Everything tasted homemade and you could tell it was made with love. It was definitely one of the highlights of our stay. We would 100% come back and stay here again. We really enjoyed our time here and couldn’t recommend it enough!

Si deseas estar en un típico edificio antiguo en Roma el Relais Donna Lucrezia es el lugar. Me fascinó el ascensor. La habitación y el baño impecable. Toallas y sábanas limpias pero de baja calidad. Almohadas incomodas. El señor que nos atendió amable. Desayuno bueno. Te ayudan con los transportes de taxis. Muy mala comunicación con la administración por un problema que tuve con el check in después de las 20:00. En su pagina (Hoteles.com) dice que nos comuniquemos con el hotel, lo cual lo hice 48 horas antes como lo indican y no respondieron hasta que llegué al aeropuerto de Roma. No indica que hay un costo adicional, el cual me sorprendió, no por el monto sino por el concepto.

The owner was amazing!! He was so personable and so friendly! Every time we saw him, he interacted with us and wanted the best for us. He remembered who we were and he wanted our stay to be perfect- which it was. Will stay here again in future. The hotel is in a great area. Can walk to each place and it’s a quiet district.
