If you want a centrally located hotel with a bizarre interior, this is your place. My first complaint was that nowhere on there description does it say that the your need to walk up 4 flights of stairs to get into the hotel, so with 2 - bags over 50 lbs. and 2 other bags over over 30 lbs., you can see how stairs could be difficult. Once you get into what they call a lobby, all of the craziness starts and the rooms don't get any better. The pictures they show is just the beginning. And then you step into the bathroom that you feel your stepping into a capsule that send you into space and is so small where you can only raise 1 arm at a time to wash or you bang your arms/elbows into the walls.

There are about 40 stairs to get up to the hotel. Then we had another 10-15 to get to the room. Way too many for the oldest of our group. The room was super tiny, we could only walk one at a time from the bed to the bathroom. There was no space for our luggage, except under the bed. After one night we left due to the tiny room and all the stairs.

El personal muy amable. Las camas cómodas, ubicación excelente. Desventajas, No hay elevador, cuartos muy muy pequeños, baño muy pequeño e incomodo. No volvería a quedarme.

If you like hotel chains with bell staff, gyms and on property restaurants/bars, this place isn't for you. But if you like a place that has character and is a little quirky, like I do, you'll love this place. Yes, you have to walk up some stairs, and yes, the room isn't very big (which is true of most places in Europe), but I have never stayed in a place with more in-room amenities. A chair massager? A foot bath? A hot dog roaster? And I can honestly say that the free mini bar had more food in it than my refrigerator at home. The location is extremely central - all the major sites are walkable - but it was still very quiet at night. The decor is fun and unique. I would definitely stay here again.

Very friendly staff. Unique very Roman decor. Very convenient location to the Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Piazza Navona, etc. They had a taxi ready for me at 6:30 am. I was a little surprised it was on the (European) 2nd floor with no elevator. They did help me with my luggage up the second flight, though.

お部屋は狭いながらも必要なものはすべて用意してもらえています。しかし、エレベーターがないのでトランクをあげるのは、シニアには大変でした。朝ごはん用に沢山のパン、チーズ、ヨーグルトなどびっくりするほど用意されてきます。中でも生ハムはとても美味しかったです。

Très déçu à l’arrivée, hôtel au 3eme étage …. Pas d’ascenseur…valises à monter La personne à l’entrée explique tout , mais à toute vitesse et ne fait pas d’effort. La dame d’accueil de nuit est par contre très avenante. Deco tres kitch … Seul un salon minuscule à l’entrée Dans la chambre, cintres de récupération de magasin …! Accessoires de petit déjeuner très complets ; frigo bien rempli et gratuit ; tous les petits gâteaux et viennoiseries sous plastique et pas très appétissants Pas de salle de petit déjeuner En fait , c’est plus une chambre de pension de famille au 3eme étage …! Tout ça pour un prix élevé Par contre hôtel tres bien placé ! Mais vu d’autres hôtels centraux , beaucoup mieux et au même prix Je ne le recommanderai pas

Wonderful location. Very convenient. Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Lots of stairs to lobby but hotel accommodated us with room on main floor. Shower is very tiny. If you are looking for a great hotel in a great location this is perfect. Loads of restaurants nearby. Very convenient to busses taxi stand and Metro. Walking distance to many attractions. Very different experience than your average US/Canadian Holiday Inn though!! We loved it despite the stairs.

This is a quirky hotel in the ideal location for getting anywhere you want to be in Rome. Over the top decor and tight space, but comfortable and friendly. We stay here every time we come to Rome, and wont consider anywhere else. Truly, its not for everyone (3 floor walk up!), but when you love it you love it. Thanks again for a wonderful stay, Hotel Barrett!

This tired hotel is on the third floor ( walk up ) of an unprepocessing building on a busy street. The reception area is crammed with cheap and shabby reproductions of antique statues vases etc and plastic plants. The overall effect is uniquely depressing. Wether its the broken plastic shower cubicle or the threadbare towels its hard to convey how awful this hotel is.

도보로 유명 관광지 걸어다닐 수 있을 정도로 위치가 좋습니다.특히 판테온과 가깝구요. 테르미니에서 오시는 분은 택시비 별로 비싸지 않으니 택시타고 오는게 제일 좋을 듯 싶습니다. 숙소는 크지 않지만 깔끔하구요, 조식은 따로 제공하지 않으나, 숙소 내 냉장고 가득 채워주시고 빵, 과자, 음료, 생수, 맥주 한캔까지 제공해주셔서 너무 좋더라구요. 추천합니다~~

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Perfect stay – highly recommended! We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The location couldn’t be better – just a few minutes’ walk from all the major sights and attractions. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed. The breakfast arrangement served directly in the room was particularly convenient when traveling with children. Everything was clean, and thoughtfully organized. We would stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting the city!

Centralt beliggende værelse. Generalt er det et plastik helvede og meget kunstig. Man har med kunstige plastik planker, forsøgt at få det til at ligne en gammel bygge still. Det er kunstigt grimt, beskidt og ulækker badeværelser. Selv det der skulle forstille at være Morgenmad er kunstig, og alt er indpakket i plastik. Det er kunstigt grimt og ulækkert. Det er jo bestemt ikke value for money, men alene en turistfælde, det har intet med et hotel at gøre. Der er tale om små værelse fyldt med gammel skrammel som på ingen måde virker autentisk.

Room is dirty and the small. Because of the environment, hazard of having mold, me, and my partner have severe allergy, and eye infection because of the bacteria. We’re trying to request a refund from the hotel but they refused. We should’ve request also reimburse our medical expenses. Hotellet er helt unikt. Alle værelser er forskellige med antikke møbler, kunst og kuriositeter. Der er hylder, skåle og et køleskab fyldt med lækkerier, både til den store og lille sult/tørst, alt inklusive. Alt er i bedste kvalitet og rengøring samt personalets service i top. Placeringen er midt i centrum i gåafstand til alle seværdigheder, restauranter og shopping.Jeg kommer tilbage- nok 40 gange for at prøve alle værelserne!

This was, unfortunately, the only hotel stay of our trip (stayed at 9 different locations total) that we didn’t like! Positives: The main positive feature was that the owner is very nice and friendly. The decor is somewhat tacky, but could appeal to some as it is unique. The location was great! It’s right by “Largo do Torre Argentina”. In-room Amenities: The hotel really tries to win you over with in-room amenities, but the room is very cluttered and you wouldn’t use most of these add-ons. For instance, there is a hot dog cooker, regular toaster, and other kitchen gadgets, but they refused to provide a clothing iron because of safety concerns? There are many bigger fire hazards in the room as is that were less useful. Breakfast: The fridge and shelves are stocked with food, but we didn’t try any as they were all highly processed and we thought it was strange to eat refrigerated foods previous guests had access to. Cleanliness: The room did not feel clean, especially the shower. The jacuzzi shower was covered in black mold in all corners. Also, all the surplus decor and add ons made the room feel dusty. It’d be impossible to wipe everything down between guests. “Deluxe” Bedding: My biggest complaint was the bed/bedding. The mattress was very stiff/uncomfortable, and the bedding felt so cheap! It looked like one-time use hospital bedding. Also, whatever detergent they use to wash it was overly fragrant. Again, we stayed at 9 hotels during our trip, and this was the o

This was the best stay I have ever had. The hotel is in a perfect location, walkable to all sites in Rome, longest walk was about 31 minutes to the Vatican. The foot and body massager were a welcomed amenity after long days walking. The food available in the room daily was perfect for breakfast and snacking throughout the day, and it was restocked daily. The staff and everyone working here is so nice and helpful, they helped us with planning out what we should see. The bathrooms were very clean and was cleaned daily. We also got a nice cake on arrival and pasta on our leaving. I would 10/10 stay here again and would recommend this place to all my friends and family visiting Rome.

Excellent location. As per other comments, very quirky hotel with an amazing amount of food in the room. The phrase less is more springs to mind as there was so much much there wasn’t a lot of space to prepare the food. If the amount was to be reduced and perhaps provide some fresh rolls/croissants, would be a nicer more practicable option. The bed was very comfy and the shower was excellent, warm and powerful. Lots of other extras in the bathroom such as travel toothbrush/shave kit, shower cap etc. Really enjoyed our stay and the location was great for all the main attractions within a reasonable walking distance. One minor point, there was no iron available whatsoever, for safety reasons however, the room had a milk frother, mini oven and a hot dog warmer. Just a personal thing, but access to an iron, even if from reception, would be a good improvement. 24hr access via a security gate into the apartment and was straight forward. Would happily stay here again as we really enjoyed or short stay.

Om ni vill ha en annorlunda vistelse på hotell så välj detta. Service och läge är inget att klaga på, men annars så var det övrigt att önska. Rummet var mkt trångt och övermöblerat var ingen överdrift. Garderoben går ej öppna helt pga av att sängen står för nära. Slår i överallt när man går därinne pga av alla möbler som kastats in. Sen såg vi fram emot en hotellfrukost i en skön matsal. Det blev ju inte riktigt så. När receptionisten visade att kylskåpet är välfyllt och ingår o priset, men man får sitta i sängen och äta frukost då det ej finns nått bord el nått annat att sitta på. Så breda mackan med marmelad i sängen osv var inte vad vi tänkt oss.
Om ni vill ha en annorlunda vistelse på hotell så välj detta. Service och läge är inget att klaga på, men annars så var det övrigt att önska. There are about 40 stairs to get up to the hotel. Then we had another 10-15 to get to the room. Way too many for the oldest of our group. The room was super tiny, we could only walk one at a time from the bed to the bathroom. There was no space for our luggage, except under the bed. After one night we left due to the tiny room and all the stairs.

The hotel was very quaint, the staff was incredible & it was very clean. The stocked fridge was outstanding. The only negative was the rooms were a little small!

お部屋は狭いながらも必要なものはすべて用意してもらえています。しかし、エレベーターがないのでトランクをあげるのは、シニアには大変でした。朝ごはん用に沢山のパン、チーズ、ヨーグルトなどびっくりするほど用意されてきます。中でも生ハムはとても美味しかったです。

This is a quirky hotel in the ideal location for getting anywhere you want to be in Rome. Over the top decor and tight space, but comfortable and friendly. We stay here every time we come to Rome, and wont consider anywhere else. Truly, its not for everyone (3 floor walk up!), but when you love it you love it. Thanks again for a wonderful stay, Hotel Barrett!

This was the best stay I have ever had. The hotel is in a perfect location, walkable to all sites in Rome, longest walk was about 31 minutes to the Vatican. The foot and body massager were a welcomed amenity after long days walking. The food available in the room daily was perfect for breakfast and snacking throughout the day, and it was restocked daily. The staff and everyone working here is so nice and helpful, they helped us with planning out what we should see. The bathrooms were very clean and was cleaned daily. We also got a nice cake on arrival and pasta on our leaving. I would 10/10 stay here again and would recommend this place to all my friends and family visiting Rome.

Wonderful location. Very convenient. Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Lots of stairs to lobby but hotel accommodated us with room on main floor. Shower is very tiny. If you are looking for a great hotel in a great location this is perfect. Loads of restaurants nearby. Very convenient to busses taxi stand and Metro. Walking distance to many attractions. Very different experience than your average US/Canadian Holiday Inn though!! We loved it despite the stairs.

Let me start by saying that the Hotel Barrett staff are very nice but felt more like a revolving door of people than someone we could provide feedback to. My husband and I arrived at noon (local time) and we were told our room would be ready at 3:30. We explored and anxiously awaited our 3:30 check in as we were experiencing jet lag. The room wasn’t ready until closer to 4pm which was disappointing. When we got to the room, the amenities were good and we were given a bottle of wine. However, the fridge in the room didn’t work (hot) which wouldn’t have been an issue it was just to keep our stuff cold but the main reason we booked the hotel was for the food and drink offerings after a long flight - the meat, cheese and cold cuts were inedible. Additionally and most egregiously, the bathroom (with 2 steps leading to it) had no mats. As a result, I slipped down both steps after getting out of the shower. This was the first night of our honeymoon and I’ve been dealing with the consequences ever since (minor fracture in my foot, severe bruising and pain). We only stayed one night at Hotel Barrett and while it was a nice location, we wouldn’t stay there again.

This property is bad. It’s in a bad location. The receptionist took forever to check us in because her boss called and was yelling at her about something. No one working there was happy. No elevator. Our room was tiny. The shower and toilets were way too small. There is no breakfast service - they provide a bunch of snacks and a mini frig full of lunch meat and pickles for free. None of it was good. The beds were “ok” but the pillows were awful and you only get 1?!? And our room AC didn’t work well. Last, I hit my head in the hallways, the ceilings were so low. Bottom line - DO NOT STAY HERE!

Excellent location. As per other comments, very quirky hotel with an amazing amount of food in the room. The phrase less is more springs to mind as there was so much much there wasn’t a lot of space to prepare the food. If the amount was to be reduced and perhaps provide some fresh rolls/croissants, would be a nicer more practicable option. The bed was very comfy and the shower was excellent, warm and powerful. Lots of other extras in the bathroom such as travel toothbrush/shave kit, shower cap etc. Really enjoyed our stay and the location was great for all the main attractions within a reasonable walking distance. One minor point, there was no iron available whatsoever, for safety reasons however, the room had a milk frother, mini oven and a hot dog warmer. Just a personal thing, but access to an iron, even if from reception, would be a good improvement. 24hr access via a security gate into the apartment and was straight forward. Would happily stay here again as we really enjoyed or short stay.

It is a unique hotel, tiny and corky, but we enjoyed our short stay here. They do not serve breakfast, but they had a mini bar that was free and absolutely full of everything and anything you could ever think of for breakfast well worth our one night stay here Location was great and in short walking distance to all the restaurants, stores and the usual attractions

The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed. The breakfast arrangement served directly in the room was particularly convenient when traveling with children. Everything was clean, and thoughtfully organized. Hôtel a 5 mn du Panthéon 5mn du Capitole et tout proche du Vatican et bien d'autres lieux magiques de Rome. Hôtel tres propres un dépaysement total par rapport à son décor et surtout l'équipe à l'écoute et d'une gentillesse exceptionnelle. Si un jour je reviens sur Rome, sans hésitation je réserve cet hôtel. Ah j'avais oublié, l'hôtel je trouve juste devant le lieu mystique ou Jules César est mort...

This hotel has more character than any hotel I have stayed at, with its unique and charming decor very appropriate for historic Rome. The staff was attentive and accommodating in a personal way that felt more like a bed and breakfast than a hotel. We were even greeted with a complementary bottle of Prosecco at check-in. The location was ideal - walking distance to the Colosseum, Roman Forum, Campo di Fiori, Pantheon as well as many other sites. Our room even overlooked an active archaeological restoration site – very cool. There is no restaurant on site, however the fridge was stocked to the brim with a complementary interesting and appetizing variety of foods and drinks.

Perfect location! Staff was kind, courteous, helpful and overall just nice people. Room was clean and kept well stocked. We enjoyed staying there - just be prepared to walk up a few flights of stairs - which we didn’t mind because we got our steps in :)

The staff at Hotel Barrett were outstanding from the moment we arrived. So friendly and helpful with a room containing all home comforts and more. From a fridge in our room fully stocked with drinks, meats, cheeses and more to the massage chair and foot massager in our room. Our stay was a delight and so close to all the main attractions with bus stops directly outside. I really can’t praise this hotel and its staff enough they made us feel so at home. Even giving a gift at the start and end of our stay. Book this hotel. You will not regret! Thank you 😊

The staff was attentive and accommodating in a personal way that felt more like a bed and breakfast than a hotel. We were even greeted with a complementary bottle of Prosecco at check-in. The location was ideal - walking distance to the Colosseum, Roman Forum, Campo di Fiori, Pantheon as well as many other sites. Our room even overlooked an active archaeological restoration site – very cool. There is no restaurant on site, however the fridge was stocked to the brim with a complementary interesting and appetizing variety of foods and drinks.

Super sødt personale. Beliggenheden rigtig god. Morgenmadsbuffet, var på værelset, så man skal selv varme brød og lave kaffe. Køleskab veludrustet med yoghurt, pølser, tomater og drikkevarer. Man spiser af plast service på værelset og der er meget lidt plads. Ikke to stole, så det er i sengen med bakke. Værelset var kitch, men det ses på fotos på annoncen.

Let me start by saying that the Hotel Barrett staff are very nice but felt more like a revolving door of people than someone we could provide feedback to. My husband and I arrived at noon (local time) and we were told our room would be ready at 3:30. We explored and anxiously awaited our 3:30 check in as we were experiencing jet lag. The room wasn’t ready until closer to 4pm which was disappointing. When we got to the room, the amenities were good and we were given a bottle of wine. However, the fridge in the room didn’t work (hot) which wouldn’t have been an issue it was just to keep our stuff cold but the main reason we booked the hotel was for the food and drink offerings after a long flight - the meat, cheese and cold cuts were inedible. Additionally and most egregiously, the bathroom (with 2 steps leading to it) had no mats. As a result, I slipped down both steps after getting out of the shower. This was the first night of our honeymoon and I’ve been dealing with the consequences ever since (minor fracture in my foot, severe bruising and pain). We only stayed one night at Hotel Barrett and while it was a nice location, we wouldn’t stay there again.

I don’t understand all the good reviews. This hotel is a horror show and should be named Hotel Bates. This hotel is horribly cluttered with dusty old antiques so you can barely navigate the lobby and only gets scarier once you manage to get to your room of which you can’t walk in. First there is no breakfast “buffet “. It is a make your own in your very cramped bedroom. You don’t even have to get out of your bed to make your breakfast. In fact that is the only way you can make your breakfast as there is only about an 8” in clearance around the bed. Of which they have some how managed to cram a massage chair and a ridiculous amount of kitchen appliances including a hot dog cooker and supplied you with hot dogs to cook in your room. Yum! The bathroom you have to squeeze in sideways to get in and shut door. Despite the pictures on their website, the bathroom is a broom closet size. The scary over the top decor with cherubs over your bed is downright creepy. The price for this monstrosity is outrageous.

Hotel Barret is a very convenient hotel if you’re planning on staying most of the day outside, it has good air conditioning, good WiFi and the costumer service is truly good and always provides a great service. Taking into account the Hotel provides a self made breakfast, most of the times it ends up messing the room and ends up dirty; we weren’t expecting this concept of making our own breakfast in our room.

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The location is excellent, the staff is very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast items served in the room are very good, both in quality and quantity. The only point to mention is that the room for three people is quite small. With three large suitcases, the room became very crowded, and it was a challenge to fit everything. Overall, we had a great experience.
