while boasting a modern facade, upon further inspection, the hotel suffers from overuse and in need of a bit of TLC. The parking is insanely small. Check in was easy and polite, however we were informed that the elevator was not working, and we had to walk up 4 flights of stairs because all other rooms were booked. The first foyer was full of trapped heat and had no air so it felt like walking through an oven. The room is about the size of a college dorm and shows a bit of wear. Absolutely keep your shoes on as we accidently found out how filthy the carpet is. You're not allowed to get your own ice as its locked in an office. The major upside was not having to contend with after concert traffic.

Elevator was not working when we arrived and we were told someone was on the way to repair. We were given rooms on the 4th floor so had to lug our bags up the 4 flights. Elevator never was fixed during our stay. In the middle of the night, the electricity went out on most of the outlets so we could only use the bathroom outlets. Parking is also pretty limited with tandem narrow stalls.

The elevator did not work. they said it was getting fixed but they lied and i am disabled. also my hotel room power went out for half the night and they could not fix any of the issues in a timely manner dont stay here

This was a nice little hotel. The room was clean, perfect for what I needed. They have zero amenities. There is no restaurant or area to get snacks or anything. There is one vending machine for drinks only.

This place is in a perfect location for walkability to the Hollywood bowl and the boulevard. The only downside to this hotel is the parking. It’s very limited and first come first serve. Otherwise I liked the rooms, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. There is also daily maid service which is hard to find. The restaurant at the Best Western across the street is good too.

So…. We arrived and there was no one at the reception desk. We waited about 10 minutes till someone came. She said she was in The rest room. Another time we came in the person at the desk was sleeping! I had a question so I woke him up. The vending machine did not work and the microwave for guests to use was in the hotels laundry room.

Furniture was damaged, dirty and found hair all over the room. The white sheets had stains. The couch and chairs had foot prints all over them. We checked out within minutes. I will never book a night here again.

Room: we found other people’s hair, toenail clippings and cockroaches. Staff: The lady who welcomed us was very sweet. Overnight man, asleep when we went downstairs saturday morning - Lady sunday morning was rude about the accommodation for parking that was given to us from the sweet lady. You do not talk to guests in that manner. Parking: complete mess. we were told underground parking. saturday night we planned to go out to eat and we were boxed in.

Upon arrival, the air conditioner was on full blast and the windows were all open as they tried to air out the smell of mist and mold. I talked to the attendant at the front desk and asked for another room since I suffer from severe allergies and she was kind enough the switch us without hesitation and even gave us a bigger room. Unfortunately the smell in this room was just as bad. There was mold in the corners in the bathroom. The air quality in the hotel room is so bad, I am concerned for the well being of individuals staying. I stayed one night and would never ever sleep in that room ever again.

The room did not have a luggage rack, had to set suitcases on the floor and use the ironing board. The shower had mold on the ceiling. There were long dark hairs on the towels and in the bedding. We are both blond. The refrigerator is a wine fridge so it does not get as cold as an actual refrigerator. The toilet paper is so thin you can completely see through it. We stayed here to see a show at the Hollywood bowl, it’s the perfect distance to walk there. However, this place wasn’t inexpensive and I’d expect it to be cleaner and have a more thoughtful room.

First impression, filthy carpet. Don't go barefoot. Very noisy. Constant partying . Very loud traffic. Maybe Love Hotel for short timers (street walkers). Pay a few dollar s more across the street. Issued conplaint to management and got no response. Real review!

The hotel room is clean but carpet is very dirty. The table top is dusty so I had to clean all surfaces that we put things on. The location is average, 8-10 mins walk to Hall of fame. There is not much food choices nearby if you do not drive.

Parking is really bad on busy days. Rooms are clean, spacious and decent. There isn’t any real amenities, but the staff is really friendly and makes it feel safe. The manager is a bit stand offish, but she’s doing a great job revamping the image of hotel. The cleaning ladies are well efficient and trust worthy to leave your things around. The hours of maid service are until 3pm The WiFi is not secure and choppy. There should be a WiFi password since it leaves guest susceptible to hacking - I had an issue with that. Other than that- the hotel is a great place to stay if you’re on a budget. Traffic from Hollywood bowl is pretty bad too but that’s usually during a concert. The 2 bedroom is really big and has a connecting room. Highly recommend

The hotel wasn’t anything flash, but is in the heart of Hollywood, so super convenient to walk to Hollywood Blvd, Sunset Blvd, the metro etc. Fine for a 3 night stay, noting there’s absolutely no vibe to the hotel itself. It was clean but just rundown and the air con was very noisy. The king bed and pillows were VERY comfortable, however.

We booked the hotel to attend a 8pm concert at the Hollywood Bowl which is about a 10 min walk. We arrive at the hotel at 7:15pm, there was no one at the desk to check in, no "on a break" sign out so i rang the bell, no answer. Waved at the cameras, nothing. Called the number on the card that rang at the phone on the desk still no one came. My boyfriend brought in our luggage then went looking for any employee as well as another customer whom stated he had an issue finding the receptionist to which he found her out back smoking earlier. Neither found her. Another customer comes down looking for the receptionist whom also stated she waited a long time to check in earlier (receptionist missing). Finally at 7:43pm the receptionist comes walking down the stairs nonchalantly, stated she was on her break, didn't introduce herself, didn't apologize, nothing. She sat her belongings down, checked us in, we got in our room around 7:50pm. We come down 20min later, she was gone again. We went to the concert which of course we were late to. When we arrived back there was a gentleman sitting at the desk, we requested a managers/corporate number. He said "There is no manager. He

The staff help make the Lexen a superb accommodation. The rooms are spacious, sound proofed and clean. Amazing value for hollywood, and walking distance to the Bowl, or Hollywood Blvd. A hidden gem, indeed!

From the moment I checked in there was nobody there to greet me until 15 mins. Then upon my return the front entrance was locked and nobody again at the front counter. I entered my room the heater was broken and it was raining. The next morning I requested a late check and in countered rudeness from the front desk worker Brenda M. And upon checking outside they had three sheriffs and a crime scene investigator in the front doing a actual investigation for fingerprints. Overall one of the worst experiences I’ve had ever and would never recommend or return

The gentleman at the front desk was a delight. He was working s double shift and I had called the night before to confirm and see if we could show up s little early as we were on the road. He said no problem and was there the next day when we arrived and remembered me. We got an upgrade to a larger bed and s beautiful view. Absolutely coming back

The check in was amazing they two ladies in the front were amazing funny, friendly, great customer service. We grabbed our keys headed to our room and to our horror the room was occupied. I walked into someone else’s occupied room. We closed the door headed back down. The ladies called the manager and explained what happened they refunded our $25 parking and put us in a suite. This was not acceptable I had to check to make sure the safety lock was on all night. Because it was a non refundable room we had to stay. But at the point I didn’t feel safe at all. Luckily the other guest was not in their room. If they were I don’t even want to imagine their reaction.

The bed was comfortable, the shower was amazing, the TV worked without a problem, the refrigerator was cold, and the customer service at the front desk was professional, courteous, and really friendly. I appreciated every staff member I encountered, as they were all so nice. The young man that worked the desk on the night of the 16th/morning of 17th was so nice.

The hotel is a perfect spot if you wanted to walk to the Hollywood Walk of Fame and just a short drive to Universal, which is exactly what I was looking for! The only downside was parking because it was such a tight spot for a building. There were about 14 spots and that's including being double parked on some. The room itself was nice and comfortable. If you aren't really looking to stay in your room during your stay, then the room is great for the price and comfort.

Very close to the walk of Fame, very close to a awesome mall with different dinning options. We are talking about a 15 min walk for both of these. Across the street is an awesome mexican resturant. Parking is a bit difficult to get into, pray that you arent the one in the back and someone parked in front of you. Would highly recomend that you pay the $30 a day parking fee. Only draw back is that the vending machine on the second floor didnt work. Was very hot and we wanted a nice cold drink. No luck.
