The grounds are beautiful! The staff are terrific! It is close to the beach and a few restaurants. Close to shopping, yet far enough away to be a peaceful retreat. We have already decided to go back next year!

A wonderful place with friendly, helpful staff. The pool was great, the beach was a 5 minute walk, the view from my room's balcony was a gorgeous jungle scene. Beautiful!! And i stayed in the villa so my breakfast was included, yummy and freshly made each morning 🙂 Overall Great value, excellent price. Sherry from Montreal October 2025

The property has a nice clean pool and comfortable, shady sitting areas around it. Pretty gardens too. The property manager and the owner were kind and helpful and welcoming. Quiet other than the sounds of waves crashing nearby and birds and howler monkeys :)

This hotel was perfect for our stay in Coco! It was incredibly clean and well maintained. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. The wifi was out for a few days due to a fire, but can’t do much about that. The breakfast was homemade with love, but you have to be up early to get it! It is a short walk from downtown Coco and right across the street from the beach. It was simple and perfect, everything you need, I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

The grounds of this property are truly amazing. I felt like I was in a natural reserve. It is so peaceful and safe feeling. I loved that the staff were very discrete and gave you privacy although helpful when needed. Room was nice and spacious, loved the extremely clean and organized feel. Would highly recommend. (get the breakfast)

Bathroom was dirty, wifi did not work at all, water is low pressure and doesn’t get hot. They charged me additional for second person (my wife) when I checked in & only accepted cash & there’s no breakfast. I can’t remember the last time I went to $150 hotel in Costa Rica that was single occupancy. Place is a little dated but very pretty and peaceful! Great location too.

A few things to be aware of. - The staff were nice but did not speak English very well making communication difficult. - Rooms are very small, however, this was noted in the listing (270 sq ft). - Cleanliness was an issue. Upon arrival at the room, there was a spoon that a previous guest had clearly used for yogurt. Although our room was serviced daily, this spoon was not changed throughout the duration of our visit (4 nights). The soap in their kitchen was also empty.

I had a really comfortable stay at Villa del Sol. the beautiful gardens and pool area are lovely. The room was very comfortable and clean with a fan, aircon and a smart TV with streaming services. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the home cooked breakfast was great. 2 minutes walk to the beach! would recommend and stay again!

We stayed in the budget room off of the lobby for 7 nights. Room was smaller, but adequate. Bed was a bed firm. Shower pressure was low, but plenty of hot water to get clean. TV is app based, no cable, so bring your logins. Breakfast was fresh fruit, juice, coffee, scrambled eggs, toast with butter and jelly and some days rice beans. Basic, but filling. Being near the lobby was not a problem at all as other guests didn't congregate there. It was also convenient as there is a filtered water station available 24/7 in the lobby. Kathalina was helpful in highlighting how to get to the beach, mini mart, grocery store, pharmacy and banks. She also helped us book a taxi to a local golf course. The pool area was frequented but most guests and was clean and comfortable with a good amount of shade. We spent a few hours there most afternoons. The smallness of this hotel was so peaceful as there are never hundreds of people mulling about. We would definitely stay here again if in Coco.

Fantastic little place! Staff were super sweet, the breakfasts were so fresh, and served as you came and sat down. The pool is clean and well kept, as are the rooms and grounds. On the quiet end of the beach, away from the hustle and bustle, but only a ten minute walk (along a beach path or on the sand) to the main area of town. Only downside was no mini fridge in the room, but there was a shared fridge out by the pool.

Beautiful property, so charming! The staff are attentive and kind. One thing, the beds are fairly stiff so if you don\'t like stiff beds be weary of that. Otherwise, we loved our stay in the "main house" it was so cozy.

Nice tucked away place with great rooms, friendly staff and beautiful grounds that were well taken care of and close to the beach. One complaint from my wife was that she found the mattress not great (to hard) but I didn’t have any issues. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

If you want to feel like you are actually in Costa Rica, but have modern accommodations, this is the place. Our studio room with kitchen was a little dated but comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed. The best part was the surrounding gardens where we were visited by monkeys and birds of all types. The pool area was small but very nice. They claim to have a grill area but it requires wood or charcoal so not convenient. It is an easy 1 block to the beach, 1/4 mile to groceries and several bars/Restaurants. Would gladly return.

Piccolo hotel a conduzione familiare ,bel contesto molto verde e curato con una bella piscina ,amache spase nel giardino,ottima sicurezza Colazione casereccia molto apprezzata ,buono il miele 🍯 Camera non troppo spaziosa ,ma letto king size comodo Spiaggia a 2 passi anche se non è il massimo Buona la pulizia ,giardini curatissimo Consiglio questa struttura se cerchi un ambiente familiare e tranquillo

I loved this hotel! It was exactly what I was looking for - quiet, secure, close to the beach, away from the noisy downtown yet only a short walk to everything. The grounds and pool area are beautiful, so well maintained and wow, the flowers! The staff are so polite and helpful; they made arrangements for airport transportation and fabulous recommendations for excursions and dining. I appreciated the little touches and attention to detail - even the toilet paper looked pretty. My room had a full kitchen, air conditioning, even a ceiling fan. Upgrades had been made to the bathroom fixtures. I exchanged emails with Fatima and she ensured my stay went smoothly. I highly recommend this hotel!

room is clean, amenities good enough but the staff stood out. they were very helpful especially Malyn ( not sure if i spelled it right) but she is wonderful, exceptionally helpful. Juana was also nice and the rest of the crew. however you trained the staff is quite remarkable. i would totally recommend this hotel.. they have a great garden, small pool but clean. This area is quiet. the beach is a short walk with beautiful sunset. Theres a restaurant closeby that i enjoy.

Clean and beautiful property. Breakfast was homemade every day. Mostly eggs and toast. 250 steps to the beach. Gated property with code access. Rooms were small but adequate. Bed and breakfast feel to this property.

This was our 2nd time staying and it was even better than we recalled. Beautiful property, well maintained, in nice quiet location all the while still walkable to restaurants and only 100m from the ocean. The staff are also genuine and kind. We will be back!

There is not ocean view from my room, but I love the balcony open to the lush yard. The hotel is very close to the beach, only a few minutes walk, and away from the noise. It is a lovely small hotel with a beautiful yard, chickens and cats. It is relaxing, quiet and feels local. Breakfast is fresh, delicious, and free!

The property was beautiful.The tropical flowers throughout were amazing, the staff were very friendly and served very good breakfasts The only negative is on booking it sounded like the walk to town was a short distance, and it turned out to be around 20 minutes or more. The fact that it rained for the five days there didn't help, made it that much more difficult to do anything.Fatima was sweet and very helpful.

My favorite thing about this hotel was the relaxed, sweet, and efficient staff – Fatima, Kattia, Marta and Maria - mucho gracias! The room was nice and the bed comfy. It was generally a quiet place, about a 20 min walk from downtown. The pool area was lovely and picturesque; quite nice for a sunset swim. The lobby was welcoming, with lovely cultural art. Unfortunately, the location was about 3 blocks from the beach, so I couldn’t pop into the ocean as I expected. There wasn’t a place to store my gear if I wanted to go into the ocean. Also, there weren’t restaurants nearby, so for a solo female traveler, my evening options were limited. Instead, I had late lunches at my fav spot 15 min walk away, Guayoyo. I’d recommend these villas only if you have transportation.

Both the hotel and the grounds were very well kept, and the atmosphere was very laid back and comfortable. We only spent one night here (ideal proximity to Liberia airport) but I would definitely book a longer stay in the future based off of this experience.

We got the eco room and it is much smaller than we expected. However the facility is well maintained, lush greenery and 1 block walk coco beach. The coffee is the morning is one of the best coffee I had in Costa Rica, and they offer to pack our breakfast for when we have to leave for our early excursion trip. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

The location was very convenient, which was the main advantage of this place. The TV had no signal or channels available, so it served no real purpose. The room was reasonably comfortable, but I felt the price was a bit high for what was offered. The pool also did not appear to be very clean during our stay. Overall, it was acceptable because of the location, but there is definitely room for improvement.

Loved being surrounded by the jungle. Short walk to the beach. Good air conditioning. The staff were friendly and kind. The cooked breakfast was a nice treat. The staff offered portable "beach" chairs, but they weren't really beach chairs, more like chairs used for an outdoor concert. We were expecting Tommy Bahama style beach chairs. This was our only disappointment.
