Very friendly welcoming hotel. Very convenient for walks, a very comfortable Tankerton is lovely and ita only an easy 20 mins walk to Whitstable town, but local shops nearby and sea front iceceam and teas on the seafront. Very good hotel for dogs Car parking in October was fine close to hotel on beach front road and free. I imagine that parking in peak season is difficult but probably still easier than parking in Whitstable.

Staff young and inexperienced none of them seem to take their job seriously at one point we had 6/7 people behind the bar laughing loud we witnessed one of the staff Cook a bottle of champagne and and the contents of the bottle ended up over a young girl the same Young girl ended up with oyster juice all down our back our room was absolutely terrible. We had to be moved looked like there was dog pee stains at the skirting. The whole place is very rundown. Very tired. Can’t believe we paid over £240 a night for this place No safe No fridge and overall very very very poor and disappointing experience.

The hotel is in a great position and I think that this is why they charge what they do. I have stayed at cleaner hotels in central London for less money. The reception and bar areas were lovely and well appointed although the bar staff were not very attentive to their guests on the terrace, leaving food on the tables, inviting seagulls to come and grab it, resulting in glass getting broken and food being scattered. The room was quite disappointed and tired. The carpet did not look particularly clean, skirting boards and woodwork were scuffed as well as the paint peeling off the walls especially in the bathroom. The door to the room wouldn't shut on leaving it, unless you slammed, which I am sure was annoying for my neighbours. Overall I feel like it was an expensive stay for 1 night, overlooking the car park, for what was a pretty average room!

We had a lovely sea front room, which was spacious and clean. Check in was quick and easy (as we had already checked in online). Pleasant night's sleep. The outside area was not very busy yet there were a number of empty glasses etc at a number of the tables. Dinner was disappointing, the lamb was over cooked. Breakfast was a similar experience and I had to send my beans back as they were cold. We ordered cocktails from the bar and the mojito had no mint, crushed ice or brown sugar. If we stayed again I would dine somewhere else.
