Everything was clean and comfortable in our room. We used the pool and gym and took advantage of the included breakfast which was also decent. Staff were very friendly and nice. Only complaint was we had to pay for parking (12$ flat one time in and out or 14$ per day in and out privileges). We’re from Canada so the conversion can get expensive. Lots of nice little restaurants and bars around since the university is so close. 10 min Uber to Paycor which varied in price depending on what was going on (12$-45$).

Travelled for my Daughters College orientation, and we were pleased with the check in. The only thing that can improve is parking to check in, and also lowering the cost to park. We purchased a unlimited leave package and due to the distance to get to the garage we only left one time. The rooms were very nice and the pool was clean and heated! Very nice stay. I will be back.

I drove into town using a rental car and was surprised and distressed to find there was no place to pull in to unload luggage. Found a regular parking place and confusing instructions on how to pay for the parking. Once inside, I got no help about that, and they didn't care about this as it's not part of their job description. They just pointed me toward their $14 parking garage. Since I arrived on Sunday, street parking was free until Monday at 8:00 a.m., so I only needed 2 hours. I spent a lot of time downloading an app and loading car rental info into it. The app didn't take any money from my account until I queried it for the umpteenth time. Just a bad experience all around.

Would have given a higher rating on comfort but because of the street noise outside of our room, it was difficult to sleep. Went on until about 2:30 am. Cars racing up and down the road, albeit it was a Saturday night. Might stay again but would ask for an inside room. Otherwise very clean and convenient.

Very noisy. Horrible night of sleep. Air conditioner did not keep up. At check in I told the clerk that parking was needed and I was informed that it was an additional $12 which I agreed to. Upon trying to exit the garage I was asked to pay $23 and called the front desk. Front desk said that I did not pay for parking. Twenty three dollars later I exited the parking garage. Convenient location to UC but I will stay elsewhere next time

The actual hotel is very nice and we enjoyed the convenience this offers for visiting our family at UC but the mattress was horrible that we slept on. Actually felt like we were sleeping on a table. Think its time to be replaced. Otherwise, a nice hotel.

Checked in late (after midnight). Had to ring the bell 3 times to just be let in the building. Attendant checked me in on auto pilot. No greeting. No directions to the room (didn't even tell me room #), no info about amenities, etc. Had to ask for parking info. Pool needs cleaned. Street beside this hotel is like a drag strip until the wee hours and it is SO loud. Not hotels fault but very hard to sleep thru. No police presence to slow it down. It was very convenient to our other plans but won't stay here again.

We were there to be close to a family member who is having open-heart surgery. The property itself is nice. The check-in was lacking. I was asked to provide a credit card for incidentals, which is normal. I was immediately charged $80. Then another $40. I was charged $40 a day for each day. That was on top of the initial $80. Then when I checked out, I was charged $69 for parking. It’s strange because I only parked on the street. The parking garage is too far of a walk in this sketchy neighborhood. Also, the garage parking is $16/day. I was told that the charges would fall off my card, but they have yet to do so. I don’t understand these charges. Apparently the front desk doesn’t either.

Our stay at Fairfield was great!!! We will definitely stay there again. The We selected this hotel because it is super-close to the University. The only concern was the SIDE/BACK surrounding areas...trash in the streets, unkept properties, felt unsafe.. To be fair, some of the surrounding areas & businesses in FRONT of the hotel have been renovated.

The hotel is conveniently very close to the University of Cincinnati and the music department is a short walk away, which for parents of a music student was helpful for attending a recital. The hotel doesn't have on-site parking, but a multi-story parking structure in the same block worked o.k. for us when we borrowed our daughter's car. The hotel buffet breakfast was good as was the pizza restaurant around the corner. We did have some relatively minor problems with the room (#415): the outlets near the coffee maker didn't work, so we moved it to the other side of the room. Water leaked from the shower under the fixed portion of the glass; it appeared that the bottom of the glass was not caulked when installed, leaving a gap for the water to drip into the bathroom. The metal hardware securing the glass was rusted in places. We reported the above when checking out, so the issues might have been fixed by now.

We came to Cincinnati for a Reds game and to go to the zoo. We lived there about 20 years ago, and enjoy going back for fun and food! This is the first time that we have stayed near University of Cincinnati and it was an excellent choice for us. The distance from the zoo and stadium is perfect. There is a wide variety of food options available near the hotel within walking distance, and a short drive or bus ride. The hotel is clean, welcoming, well kept, and employees are incredibly friendly. There is a calmness about the place that was relaxing. Katie does a wonderful job with the breakfast and is such a pleasant presence in the morning. We would definitely stay here again and be disappointed if she wasn't working. The managers came to help in the breakfast area when it was busy and cleared plates. Check-in and check-out was a breeze. We were extremely pleased with our stay and would stay again. It is on a busy university street which didn't bother us, it added to our enjoyment. (This hotel is very near our home when we lived there, another bonus!)
