The area is really sketchy, alot of homeless and open substainsabuse. Would not recomend for a family, the hotel it self is not bad, but the area feels really unsafe.

Please use caution when booking. I would not go there again. The pictures make the Hostel look better than it was. I was surprised by how many different people were there, young and old. Inside, the common area was nice and people hung out there. We did not eat food that was available for purchase. The front desk staff were helpful and spoke English. Some of the staff started to help others before finishing with us. It was super hot but we were able to rent fans. We got a family room with bunk beds. The windows were broken and we could not open them. The curtains were almost pulled off. We used clothespins to hold them up. The space in the shower room is small but the shower was big. The linens were clean. Outside is scary. Apparently this neighborhood has a lot of homeless and people doing drugs. The parking was not great and we had to park in the street. We were able to park two times directly in-front of the door to the Hostel. One of those nights we had our car window smashed but nothing was taken. Apparently that happens a lot. The police station is close by so we were able to talk to them quickly. I gave it three stars because the staff were nice, it was affordable for a big group, and the linens were clean.
