The hotel room did not have a working heater so they had a space heater instead as the manager on duty could not get it to work either. The shower had great water pressure but ran out of hot water quick. The amenities were good, even providing tooth brushes which I don't think I have ever seen in a hotel. The main things were comfy bed with linens that smelled clean and were soft. Towels that were comfy, soft and smelled clean as well, which are some of the most important things when staying in any hotel. A bigger than average mini refrigerator and microwave was nice. Close drive to the beach, restaurants and a grocery store within walking distance. There was a DVD player in the room and the office had racks of DVDs to use. Outdoor BBQ area with wood and untensils.

Being on the coast, it had a fish/clam cleaning station near the motel which came in handy and had all the the necessary items to clean up afterwards. It was in a gazebo with a raised fire place for BBQing or heating their crab pot with their firewood.

We had high hopes for this little property but our hopes were soon dashed. We drove across the state to stay at this motel and because we didnt arrive before 6 pm they automatically charged us even though we were going to pay when we arrived. (Strike 1) We attempted to enter our room and the door was falling off the hinges. (Strike 2) Then, as we were sitting and relaxing, pill bugs were running all around the floor. You had to watch it if you had to use the restroom at night. You might step on the bugs. The best part of our stay was the bed. It was extremely comfortable. Oh, and the shower head had tons of settings. Unfortunately it's not a place we'll ever stay at again.

The person checking us in did not speak English. She messed up the charge on our room when we added a extra night. They charged a pet fee for my service dog. The rooms tv would not change channels even after we and the manager tried to trouble shoot it. The shower drain was not covered completely leaving a metal plate in the middle of the shower open and not a small drain as normal. Duck tape trying to hold the molding on around the shower. The floors were sandy. We have stayed there before the new management took over. It was great. Now we will never rebook at Mariners Cove.

The Mariner’s Cove was better than I had expected as the room was plenty big as well as the double sink bathroom. The shower and sink basin drains worked. The Queen sized beds were very comfortable and the mini frig worked great. There was one numbered parking spot just for my room. The parking area is small so don’t know where a boat would park. There are other amenities on the property that I saw but had no time to inquire about. The location is 4 minutes to Westport charter basin which was my top concern. I will book there again, Thanks Mariner’s Cove for an enjoyable stay!

I stayed in room 10. All in all pretty quiet. Although the walls are thin. Room is very nice. Full mini kitchenette with the cutest stove I have ever seen. Great water pressure in the shower and plenty of hot water. You can walk to eateries, a bar, espresso shack and grocery store. The State Park and Westport light house are also walking distance. walking The neighborhood is residential for the most part. I've been coming to Westport for over 30 years. I love it here.

Really crappy customer service, had to wait for an hour for someone to check us in then they called and said to grab a key and they would be there the next day. Exhaust fan doesnt work in the cleaning hut, could definitely use some decent upgrades to the place and to the ownership

Appreciated central location of property. Check in was awkward..no one was seen in the office the three days we were there except for one other guest. You must call a number posted on a paper at the desk to check in. We did that but were told a room number that was locked so we had to call the number again and were told to try the room next door. It seemed there was no staff on site so we didn't feel safe if any issues were to arise. Even though the sign out front boasts fruit and snacks it was quite limited with no fruit available. We did find our room quite clean and the road noise was minimal at night.

Although the hotel was advertised as having 24 hour reception, we arrived at 9.30 and there was no one there. I had to call a number (very expensive because I have a German phone) and get a room number, which was very hard to find in the dark. The walls are paper thin and there appears to be no air conditioning. There was no plug either for the sink or for the bathtub and at the reception the next morning they told me (in all seriousness) that I should shove a towel in the drain.
