The hallways are tiled with concrete walls, the staff use walkie talkies set to very loud and them seem to talk a lot, so you are woken early and the noise levels are high the whole day. The pool looks great in photos but is only knee deep for around half of it, so not ideal for swimming laps. There’s only one decent restaurant in the area, and getting out of the area is difficult and takes about an hour to get to central Bangkok for shopping or restaurants. It is prone to flooding as well, each morning the nearby market would be slightly flooded as the tide was in. This was also the route to the nearby ferry. The ferry was convenient and really the only way to get out of the area without sitting in traffic for ages. The bed was however comfortable and the location next to the river was nice, but it didn’t make up for the constant noise of staff talking on walkie talkies at all hours or the fact there were no decent restaurants anywhere close. It was not that cheap either when you take the above into account. I’d pay more and stay elsewhere if I visited Bangkok again.

The hotel lobby and salt water pool were delightful. However the lighting in the rooms was poor; no good lights around the bed for reading. Particularly extremely poor lighting in the bathroom. The only mirror was-above the sink and lighting was very dim and impossible to use for close viewing. Bathroom could use more towel hooks.

The area is really nice and close to the river. The breakfast was not the best, but overall we enjoyed our stay. Nice with the poolarea and the small children coming for a swim in the morning.

A little bit of a hidden gem in agreat location, close to Wat Arun (1 mile ) and across the river from the grand palace. You can take a ferry to both of those. Dining options are ok in the next door market. Clean and nice rooms, quiet too except when the school is in session. The noise did not bother us, I think noise and Asia go together. The pool area is lovely and shaded.

Fantastic staff who are friendly and helpful. They also have a tuk tuk that they can bring you to the main road or 7-11 at the main road. Spacious room, artistically decorated compound. Sumptuous breakfast.

This was truly a wonderful hotel and the room was well sound-proofed - the only negative was there were several schools in the area and they used loudspeakers so it was quite noisy outside the room itself. Breakfast was amazing from the "egg station" to the fresh fruit, granola, plenty of hot dishes and some salads. Of course there is a lot of meat being Thailand! The pool was lovely, and the grounds were serene, and we thoroughly recommend a stay here. The ferry was easy to catch to cross the river, currently for 4.5 baht a crossing, when we visited the Grand Palace. This is a great location to be in.

We enjoyed the quiet neighborhood along the river with a temple next door. Walking distance to Wat Arun. Conveniently located between 2 piers for quick transport to main sites. Breakfast was delicious! The restaurant faces the river and the food is yummy. The room was a good size. The pool is nice but there were problems with the little moat surrounding the pool which involved 2 days of a crew cleaning it. I'm sure this was a temporary issue. The Wang Lang market is around the corner which is filled with food/clothing vendors.

The hotel is newer and a great style. Great pool and lobby area. Great room design and layout that you don’t have to step over the suitcase all the time. The staff were amazing. They NEED to upgrade their WIFI! There are are boats to get you to the other side of the river.

The reception has no aircon, in warm days it can be unbearable for foreigners. The hotel does not have any iron, after many hours flying, the clothes need to be ironed. We were asked to bring the clothes to a laundry at the reception. We had a used coffee glass in the room for days that we left in the sink but no one picked it up. The cleaning was poor, during the whole stay we had toothpaste spots in the sink that were not removed or cleaned. The soap run out after the third day, we had to use hand soap for showering. The staff is not good at English, luckily my wife is Thai.

Front desk and the guys who help with the luggage were wonderful and helpful. I appreciate they held our luggage for us. The rooms were spacious, clean, and nice. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was spacious. Close to pier and markets. Overall it was a great stay.

The room was old, with mosquito screens coming off the rails and blinds bent and not closing properly. Despite AC and keeping everything shut, there was constant humidity inside the room. I tried for 3 days to organize transport from the airport by sending multiple emails both directly and through the booking platform and got a reply only when I was already at the airport (landed) so organized transport there myself. I tried to get laundry done the morning of the day before my departure and selected “express service” (which had a 4h turnaround time). Instead of clean clothes, I found a note from the front desk saying that since there was “heavy rain” (it didn’t rain at all!) my laundry couldn’t be done by the next day (24h - not 4h - later…). The room was not cleaned the day before my departure, bathroom amenities were not refilled and the towels were thrown on the bed instead of placed in the bathroom. I also inquired about a temple visit and they tried to sell me extra touristy stuff I never asked for. Overall I would give the property 3* max in terms of condition and less in terms of service… only “plus” was that the area was calmer than most of the city and easily accessible via river ferry. I

El hotel es lindo y su restaurante tiene una vista espectacular, justo en la rivera. El internet es inestable, se desconecta cada 5 min y hay que estar ingresando manualmente los datos de usuario y contraseña para reconectar, lo cual es molesto, así que solo utilicé los datos movibles que adquirí previamente. La habitación es confortable y con todo lo necesario, sin embargo había demasiados zancudos dentro, y únicamente te dan un repelente eléctrico paa “ahuyentarlos”, pero es absurdo. La ubicación es aparentemente buena por está junto al río y algunos templos, pero los taxis vía aplicación como Grab o Volt, siempre me cancelaron los viajes, probablemente porque la calle es extremadamente estrecha, la única forma de salir solicitando Mototaxista o directamente con la organizadora de Tours, o booking. Las tiendas no están cerca. Si te interesa un lugar muy tranquilo y relajado está bien. Para mejor acceso a todos los servicios como spas. Tiendas, bares, restaurantes, etc, no es el lugar indicado, es mejor uno más céntrico.

Beautifully designed and built hotel from internal hardens and pool to hallways, signage, costume displays and rooms. Very clean room with lots of unobtrusive storage, small kitchenette and comfortable bed. Balcony door could provide a better seal against outside noise. AC was slightly noisy at times. Restaurant staff seemed dedicated to the guest experience especially Be, restaurant manager who attended to a severe allergy condition without hesitation. Included breakfast offered a wide assortment of foods both Thai, Asian and Western. Wish we could have stayed longer. River transportation very close and makes getting to sites easy. Market nearby. Can imagine a prolonged stay here. One small annoyance was having to frequently re log onto the wifi.

Amazing location right in the local market — full of life and great energy. The ferry is less than a 10-minute walk, which made exploring very easy. The staff were helpful, and even though the room decor is a bit dated, it was clean and comfortable. A memorable highlight was seeing local kindergarten kids using the hotel pool (kid’s pool) with their teachers ( morning period) — it added such a sweet and joyful touch. A solid stay with an authentic local vibe.

This was truly a wonderful hotel and the room was well sound-proofed - the only negative was there were several schools in the area and they used loudspeakers so it was quite noisy outside the room itself. Breakfast was amazing from the "egg station" to the fresh fruit, granola, plenty of hot dishes and some salads. Of course there is a lot of meat being Thailand! The pool was lovely, and the grounds were serene, and we thoroughly recommend a stay here. The ferry was easy to catch to cross the river, currently for 4.5 baht a crossing, when we visited the Grand Palace. This is a great location to be in.

The hotel is newer and a great style. Great pool and lobby area. Great room design and layout that you don’t have to step over the suitcase all the time. The staff were amazing. They NEED to upgrade their WIFI! There are are boats to get you to the other side of the river.

El hotel es lindo y su restaurante tiene una vista espectacular, justo en la rivera. El internet es inestable, se desconecta cada 5 min y hay que estar ingresando manualmente los datos de usuario y contraseña para reconectar, lo cual es molesto, así que solo utilicé los datos movibles que adquirí previamente. La habitación es confortable y con todo lo necesario, sin embargo había demasiados zancudos dentro, y únicamente te dan un repelente eléctrico paa “ahuyentarlos”, pero es absurdo. La ubicación es aparentemente buena por está junto al río y algunos templos, pero los taxis vía aplicación como Grab o Volt, siempre me cancelaron los viajes, probablemente porque la calle es extremadamente estrecha, la única forma de salir solicitando Mototaxista o directamente con la organizadora de Tours, o booking. Las tiendas no están cerca. Si te interesa un lugar muy tranquilo y relajado está bien. Para mejor acceso a todos los servicios como spas. Tiendas, bares, restaurantes, etc, no es el lugar indicado, es mejor uno más céntrico.

The reception has no aircon, in warm days it can be unbearable for foreigners. The hotel does not have any iron, after many hours flying, the clothes need to be ironed. We were asked to bring the clothes to a laundry at the reception. We had a used coffee glass in the room for days that we left in the sink but no one picked it up. The cleaning was poor, during the whole stay we had toothpaste spots in the sink that were not removed or cleaned. The soap run out after the third day, we had to use hand soap for showering. The staff is not good at English, luckily my wife is Thai.

My stay at Theatre Residence Bangkok was disappointing. The staff were inattentive and unhelpful, struggling with English. The breakfast experience was concerning: the egg station staff wore his mask on his chin, coughed frequently, and served undercooked omelettes. Additionally, there was no VIP service or room upgrade despite low occupancy. Overall, the experience was far from satisfactory.

This hotel is so nice and definitely a hidden gem. Wonderful facilities, the best buffet breakfast, and beautiful views from the restaurant. It's a very quiet area and staff are very friendly and helpful. We arrived late at night with a taxi, and didn't have enough cash on us to pay the driver, but the young man working at the reception helped us out but walking us to the nearest ATM. Would definitely recommend, it's very close to the ferry warf as well.

The room was old, with mosquito screens coming off the rails and blinds bent and not closing properly. Despite AC and keeping everything shut, there was constant humidity inside the room. I tried for 3 days to organize transport from the airport by sending multiple emails both directly and through the booking platform and got a reply only when I was already at the airport (landed) so organized transport there myself. I tried to get laundry done the morning of the day before my departure and selected “express service” (which had a 4h turnaround time). Instead of clean clothes, I found a note from the front desk saying that since there was “heavy rain” (it didn’t rain at all!) my laundry couldn’t be done by the next day (24h - not 4h - later…). The room was not cleaned the day before my departure, bathroom amenities were not refilled and the towels were thrown on the bed instead of placed in the bathroom. I also inquired about a temple visit and they tried to sell me extra touristy stuff I never asked for. Overall I would give the property 3* max in terms of condition and less in terms of service… only “plus” was that the area was calmer than most of the city and easily accessible via river ferry. I

The hallways are tiled with concrete walls, the staff use walkie talkies set to very loud and them seem to talk a lot, so you are woken early and the noise levels are high the whole day. The pool looks great in photos but is only knee deep for around half of it, so not ideal for swimming laps. There’s only one decent restaurant in the area, and getting out of the area is difficult and takes about an hour to get to central Bangkok for shopping or restaurants. It is prone to flooding as well, each morning the nearby market would be slightly flooded as the tide was in. This was also the route to the nearby ferry. The ferry was convenient and really the only way to get out of the area without sitting in traffic for ages. The bed was however comfortable and the location next to the river was nice, but it didn’t make up for the constant noise of staff talking on walkie talkies at all hours or the fact there were no decent restaurants anywhere close. It was not that cheap either when you take the above into account. I’d pay more and stay elsewhere if I visited Bangkok again.

This was our first time to Bangkok. I liked how the hotel was located so close to the river and boat transport. We could see and access the temples, while staying in a quiet and relaxing location. We enjoyed the quiet neighborhood along the river with a temple next door. Walking distance to Wat Arun. Conveniently located between 2 piers for quick transport to main sites. Breakfast was delicious! The restaurant faces the river and the food is yummy. The room was a good size. The pool is nice but there were problems with the little moat surrounding the pool which involved 2 days of a crew cleaning it. I'm sure this was a temporary issue. The Wang Lang market is around the corner which is filled with food/clothing vendors.

Gutes Hotel, wir waren das dritte Mal hier und finden aber leider das es sich für unseren Geschmack zum negativen verändert hat. Der Service hat ein bisschen nachgelassen und das Frühstück ist uns zu sehr auf europäisch ausgelegt. Wir vermissen hier einfach die Vielfalt und das asiatische Küche.

A fantastic place to stay. Really close to the ferries and a market. The restaurant was nice and staff were all very helpful. Good pool with a lot of boisterous young people enjoying it. Only downside is the noise from the nearby school - absolutely nothing the hotel can do about that :)

Beautiful location by the Chao Praya River. Peaceful with amazing views. An oasis away from the chaotic BKK central yet in proximity to do activities. We had the amazing room with the river view. Next to the royal temple which is beautiful and peaceful to visit!
