I'm satisfied with this stay. little far from the stations and supermarkets but the hotel has free drink service and little convenient store. Room is wide which has bathroom and closet, and fridge is very efficient. Staffs are friendly and kind. Thank you.

Got in early before check in. They gave me all the coffee I could drink, and held my bag, while I explored NYC before check in. The morning crew Aug 10th was amazing along with the night crew were just as awesome....

Stayed in a queen room for two nights in May 2023. Really helpful and friendly staff, from the front desk to housekeeping. Quick and easy check-in/check-out process. Not an ideal location, with very few restaurant options within immediate walking distance (4-5 blocks). Five blocks to the east is the Factory, with Vanessa's Dumplings, Harissa's, and a pizza place. A Doughnut Plant is on the next block, and there are a ton of options in the neighborhood on Door Dash, Seamless, and Uber Eats that can deliver to the hotel. Even though the immediate vicinity has limited dinging, the hotel has a small but well-stocked convenience store in the lobby, as well as a coffee and tea bar, which took care of most of my needs. Everything was super clean, including the room itself. Enjoyed my brief stay, and appreciated how great the staff was.

It was very surprising how there was a lack of cleanliness in the hotel room. Upon entering the room, there was a roach running on the floor. When, I went to tell the associate about it, the only thing she offered was a change of rooms. Honestly, if I could have went to another hotel, I would. I did not even feel comfortable staying in the new room.

I had late check in last night to a friendly staff member. Unfortunately now I come to notice bathroom is inundated with sewer flies. I have stayed here prior on occasions. I haven't had any other complaints. This Unfortunately is not acceptable to me at all. I notified front desk personnel on the situation. Hope they compensate my inconvenience stay that im having in this contaminated rm.

This is my follow up with my current stay. I notified another front desk personnel of my unsatisfied stay in this room. A resolution from them was that they will spray a toxic chemical to kill flies. No other resolution was offered. I reached ou to expedia customer service to speak with someone.. Now the front desk say they can provide another rm. Why do they tell expedia that now and not me earlier. The front desk just put notes on computer. Im extremely extremely upset with this hotel now. It's not right for me to endure having a sewer infested bathroom.

The property is in an industrial area, so its very desolate at night. The actual property is nice and i found it to be very clean. The room however is extremely small, no closet, just 3 hangers off the wall. Shower is badly designed. No room to turn around. Shower curtain installed too close. Cant move with out it touching you. And the soap dish should be installed on the same side as the shower head. Ita behind you on the corner and i kept hitting my shoulder on it. Doesnt make sense to be there. But I will say the bed was comfortable and that mattered the most. I would come again but I would try a room on a higher floor. Maybe since my room was on the 1st floor they little space for a better design.

Worst cheapest hotel mattress I ever experienced, gave me pain. Rest of the room was fine, I don’t understand why they wouldn’t have a proper mattress, REALLY important for a hotel. Easy check-in, kind staff, but they didn’t return my security deposit and lied about releasing it. I checked out on 1/18 and it’s 2/6 and I still don’t have it back. When I checked out they claimed it was released that day which was a lie, my bank wouldn’t hold it that long. I know my bank and exactly how long everything takes. And my bank confirmed that this hotel did nothing with my security deposit which is why it’s taking so long to release back to my account becyif they don’t release the security deposit then you have to wait a month for it to happen automatically. Some contact attempts about it ignored. Other hotels I stayed at didn’t charge a security deposit. I’d stay at those hotels again due to being lied to and mostly ignored via some contact attempts. Also, a hotel has to provide a decent mattress.

I loved the appearance of the hotel. My problem was the noise. The HVAC vent in the room rattled so loud that I had to blast the TV to hear it. And the trains are across the street. You can hear them through the windows. Other than that, it’s great.

We enjoyed our stay, and especially appreciated the made-to-order breakfast which was included! Comfortable room and beds; appreciated ample electrical outlets and two nightstands. Also loved the view! Train noises did not bother us, especiialy since there were few of them after commuting hours. Two comments, though: there was an odd smell in our bathroom (smelled like a cat had been there) And. the bathtub and bathroom floor are extremely slippery! They both need some sort of texture or perhaps q grab bar in the tub. We are in our '70's; we don't need a handicap bathroom but slipping is a major concern for us. Otherwise, great stay!

Paid for King bed and received full bed. TV was not work, AC was loud. They couldn’t move us because they were fully booked. There was no one at check out, there was a line of people waiting. Did not get reimbursed because the was no one to talk to in person and the manager was not in yesterday.

Our stay at the Feather Factory has been wonderful, thanks to the caring staff. It was clean at all times. The breakfast was amazing. The front desk has been helpful in all matters. I would definitely recommend.

We were pleasantly surprised with the experience we had at the Feather Factory. In a safe location with plenty of free street parking around the corner. The room was clean and I appreciated the free coffee in the lobby. The people at the front desk were very friendly. We were barely at the hotel but it served its purpose and was a great value relative to nearby hotel options.

I have been coming to the Feather Factory for three years. Luis the manager provides excellent consistent customer service and the housekeeping staff, gentleman from Mali is always smiling and asking if he can make our stay better or do we need anything to please ask. Customer is always first at this hotel. My only concern was the men’s shelter that recently opened up on the opposite corner of the hotel. That was dissatisfying as the men are outside playing music, working out, and grilling on the sidewalk. Traveling with small children did not allow us to walk in the vicinity anymore on this trip.

Luis the manager provides excellent consistent customer service and the housekeeping staff, gentleman from Mali is always smiling and asking if he can make our stay better or do we need anything to please ask. This was a quick last minute booking I had to take due to double booking elsewhere. I arrived pretty late, I believe 1:30 am, and there was someone at the front desk, nice enough - the major plus for me was the the mart located right in the lobby, if I’m honest the sandwich was the best part of the experience. The rooms are “ok” the bed was not particularly comfortable and the sheets were thin as…the walls and general decor looked a bit rough, there was a previous reviewer that said it was jail like, and that’s accurate. Now here’s where things get bad, they take a deposit, which is fair - but upon checking out the very RUDE guy at the desk mentions nothing about it, I had to ask - then he says “the manager releases deposits when he comes in” WHAT?!?!? - never in my time traveling have I ever heard that, deposits are released when you check out. Period! The guy at desk then gets annoyed I’m asking further, he says it’ll take about 5-7 days, in a trust me bro tone. My bank processes these holds immediately, needless to say the hotel has not released my deposit, which for a hotel like this, basically a “motel” is ridiculous. Will never stay there again.

Booked the hotel stay as an emergency after I paid a different hotel stay and was turned away due to their overbooking. The gently at the front desk was very helpful in helping me book a last minute room on August 11th(on a Sunday night). Even the morning staff at the front desk was great. Overall....great customer service, very clean rooms, and very helpful staffs.

We loved staying here, easy parking , simple, yet clean room, great accommodations. The staff was super. We were here for our child's surgery. When the surgery got changed at the last second they were so accommodating. Serena was super helpful and friendly and Amran took great care of us, so we could focus on their healing.

Got in early before check in. They gave me all the coffee I could drink, and held my bag, while I explored NYC before check in. The morning crew Aug 10th was amazing along with the night crew were just as awesome....

Very clean and nice property. In a bit of a loud area, and you can hear the train while you are in your bedroom throughout the night for light sleepers. The area itself is not the best but only a 10 minute walk to the nearest subway.

Located within a 10 minute walk to the g train. Easy parking on the street that is meter parking. Good location to stay if you just need to sleep somewhere for the night. The surrounding area is still a lot of factories and abandoned buildings. Staff was very friendly, check in was easy, room was clean. Lots of options for snacks/ drinks in the lobby for purchase. Safety wise I did not think the location was the best, would not walk back at night alone.

The hotel is fine and the price quite good. However, its location is not the best. It is right next to very busy train lines, so pack some ear plugs. Also, it is separated from Court Sq; to get there, and to the subway, you walk a couple blocks (deserted at night) and walk over a long bridge. If the location were better, I'd give the place five stars. I was stranded at LaGuardia and needed a place to stay, so it was fine.

Very nice place to stay clean, spacious, my only complaint a newer mattress. Don’t get me wrong still comfortable and good but can use an upgrade. Location good close to subway and Long Island railroad. Just need to be mindful of traveling time.

This property is perfectly fine. Nothing extravagant but clean and comfortable. If you are sensitive to noise, the Amtrak is close by and may be a problem. I know the neighborhood well so it may not be an ideal spot for all tourists but it’s a 10 minute walk to the 7 train which will take you straight into Manhattan!

Hotel was older but had just enough of what we needed and close/clean proximity for where we needed to go. Front desk staff were okay- check in took a bit and couldve been friendlier. The breakfast was great and well run by the staff manning it. We would stay again just could see a few improvements

We stopped here in 2018, and when we decided to visit NY again in 2025 we wondered if the Feather Factory was still open. We’re so pleased it was and it’s even better than last time. Still the same friendly staff and comfy rooms, but the added lobby area with coffee and the breakfast room on the 5th floor with rooftop views was stunning. Breakfast was great and plentiful. We’ve read some reviews that the area is a little sketchy, we never felt concerned at any time. We were out late on two evenings and still didn’t feel concerned. The hotel is ideally situated for the metro into the city. Another great experience and if we are visiting the Big Apple again we’d be sure to stop there. Thanks

Excellent staff and facilities. If you don’t mind walking a few blocks to the nearest subway station and if you also don’t mind the freight trains at night, this is a nice hotel to stay in New York City. Very accessible to the Long Island City Riverside parks. Good value overall.

This place is spotless and smelled so good when you enter. The people are friendly and so are the receptionist. The only thing I would change is the pancakes and waffle they were not good. Everything else at the breakfast area was good and a plus for it being made fresh to your order. I will stay again here.

The staff and the property was nice and welcoming. Loved that there's a convenience store in the lobby that is well stocked. They let us store our luggage after checkout for free until our train out of the city. The breakfast they offer was a bit lackluster in my eyes, but I'm not much of a breakfast person to begin with. I think the biggest draw for it would be that they make eggs fresh for you in any style you want.

My room at the Feather Factory was a delight. Everything was clean and in good condition, and the bed was comfortable. I liked the hard floor (rather than carpet), which contributed to the sense that everything was truly clean. I felt safe inside the room, and appreciated that the elevator required the use of the room key. The location is a little industrial, but I felt safe walking to/from it (including in the dark in the very early morning), and the 7 train is not too far away. The downside to my stay, which was a big downside, was the noise from the Sunnyside Yards right outside my window. Noise from the Yards included many trains chugging and whizzing through, loud train horns and whistles, and slow-moving trains with clanging bells. All of this all night long. Between the room's HVAC unit and my own white noise machine, I was able to mostly drown it out, but I would have greatly preferred a silent room to a room made tolerable by high-volume masking white noise. That said, even with all the noise, it was still a great value. And it's possible that other rooms are less noisy. Based on how nice the room was, I would stay there again, but not on a night when getting a good uninterrupted night's sleep was critically important.

I was very disappointed with the staff ! She was unprofessional and rude. When I was told the room deposit was $150; I was shocked for a one night stay!!!! The room deposit was more then the room!!!Instead of taking my feelings into concern the representative said well you can cancel and go somewhere else. Very unprofessional the parking is horrible if you dont have to get up early this is not the place for you i checked in around 12 am and I didn't fall asleep until about 2 am to get up by 7am to feed the meter so I wouldn't get a ticket I dont feel i will be staying there again the beds were ok
