Kingfisher Harwich Port

The rooms have recently got a makeover. It had a fridge and microwave and TV. There is a very minimal wall rack used to hang clothes with the cheapest wire hangers. There are cubbies to put clothes and other stuff. The bathroom was very nice with large walk in shower. The toilet rack was very cheap and wobbly. This is the first time that everything is done via text. There is no lobby. They send a code to open the room door when you arrive. They send a text every morning asking if anything is needed. If you need new towels for the next day you put the soiled towels outside the door and clean towels are hung in a plastic bag and hung on a hook outside the room. The only staff you see are the people that clean the rooms and that’s when a guest leaves. The first night at 9pm a fire detector in the main area started to sound the alarm and then stopped. I sent a text and let them know. There was no smoke or fire but it kept on alarming about every 20 minutes. When I did get a response I was told that it could be humidity(there was none) or steam from a shower. (Really!!). I said there was no one showering in the main area. I got a few more excuses and they said they would check it out. I got a text that everything was all set. About 20 minutes later it went off again and got no response. So the only thing that was great was the view. If this is the way they run their business I’m not coming back. Oh, no phone in the room to contact a real person.

What a beautiful little inn by the beach. Right on the parking lot for Bank Beach. Parking was easy, and you could walk to town. The rooms were recently updated and very clean. While there was no staff on site when we checked in. They were available by text and phone which was very useful. Our only complaint was noise, we had a ground floor room and when the room above us was occupied there was quite a bit of noise from people/children running around late in the night. Management was great though, and moved us to a room that did not have anyone above it, where we thoroughly enjoyed our stay

Great little room in quiet neighborhood steps from Bank St Beach & only a short walk to main street. Staff was very responsive to our questions & requests. Room had everything we needed. Only issue was that the room felt humid/damp when the air handling/AC unit was set on cooling. But when turned to the dehumidification setting, it was much more comfortable. Would love to stay here again!

hard beds, hard pillows. towels not absorbent, over priced. not even a chair to sit in in the room, no breakfast.
