Large windows open onto the main square and the harbor. The streets are closed to parking making it a perfect walk about for exploring this seaside and Hillside Village. Many restaurants and good seafood. Fernando was very helpful although hard to reach before we arrived. He will contact you by WhatsApp the day before your arrival. There are no markets in town so bring your groceries with you.

Cudillero has been the highlight of time in Spain and staying in Fernando’s apartment right on the harbour made our 2 night stay very memorable. Fernando’s recommendations for where to eat and what to see were great value and much appreciated.

Ok and good to start. However the apartment is full of photos of the owner’s deceased mother. I appreciate he loved her but it was a bit heavy. In addition the street cleaning lorry rolled past at 5 am. Noisy. The icing on the cake was the rat invasion. Woke up to one walking across the bedroom floor and then another knocking things over whilst doing gymnastics in the kitchen. I have to say Vrbo were sympathetic but unhelpful offering a three way call with the owner. He told me I had seen a cat. I wish! Suspect they came from the closed up restaurant below but nevertheless completely unacceptable. An apology would have been nice, a refund even better. On a positive the owner was very helpful sharing local info. Shame we didn’t feel able to stay long enough to find out In summary … disgusted

Stayed 1 night
