No elevator. I am disabled. The hotel could not accommodate me for a first floor or in a building with an elevator. I did call after I made the reservation to see what could be done. Nothing.

The staff were welcoming and accommodating. Very friendly and authentic. The views from anywhere on the resort property are beautiful; breathtaking at sunset. The rooms are very simple- comfortable and clean. Lots of running / walking trails and interesting stone museums. A unique - in a very good way - resort.

Ok for an Inn. Have stayed at worse Inn's before. Beds need to newer and the shower heads need to be replaced. The grounds are beautiful, so much to do with the family. There is enough to do so that you never to leave the facility. Museum's are great to see and interactive for kids. Highly recommend for families looking to attend a resort as long as you can get past to quality rooms. The buildings are old and have amazing chacter but with that comes outdated rooms. Close enough to ocean and lakes if there is a need to escape.

Think of low budget Dirty Dancing and that's basically the resort. Other than private home rentals, they have monopoly for that area. They did replace mattresses from 5 yrs earlier, a huge relief. Don't expect typical hotel services (e.g. no daily housekeeping unless you ask each day by 9 a.m. tho not a guarantee!) no in-room phone, so obviously no room service, no elevator, VERY old bathrooms, faucets, etc. Noise from surrounding rooms pretty constant. Too bad as grounds are lovely. Great history, activities available,golf course, nice pool etc and staff are friendly.

The grounds are very nice. Staff is polite. Rooms were clean. The history of Poland springs water company/family was fascinating. Dislike No complimentary coffee in room or lobby. Walking trails are not well marked

it was a beautiful area and staff was very helpful and polite, but unfortunately, the room that I got the bathroom was dirty. There was old soap. Leftover toilet wasn’t clean and the pullout bed did not have any sheets or pillows.i had to call to get them an pull out bed smelled bad an I had to but my handicap child on that. Just glad that the staff that brought me the sheets brought a few so I can cover it good

The rooms are dated and poorly kepted. The pillows are old and thin, rugs are stained. Im still trying to figure out what the room smell like. Mold ,old man or chicken barn. The rooms are over priced for what they are.

Property was very old and needed updating. Our room did not appear to be thoroughly cleaned and was covered in dust. For $200 a night I expected to not have to dust and take care of my own towels.

The room was filthy, with bugs everywhere. We found bugs in the bed and tried to call the front desk, but the night guard never answered and then automatic menu on the phone eventually directed us only to voicemail.

This is a great property if you don’t mind staying in rooms that are old, uncomfortable, and a bit depressing. The property itself is great—it's quiet, safe, and surrounded by pretty scenery. Maine is expensive, so this resort is a good deal, but the rooms, although clean and well-maintained, look old and cheap, and they are not comfortable.

Lovely area and grounds, rooms are dated and kind of old school but clean and bed was really comfortable. If you are concerned about noise the walls are thin and if you are near the lobby you can easily hear people talking - there was a good Beatles band but again easy to hear if close to the lobby at all. Friendly staff, food was decent. Lobby could use some updating too but the leather sofas were good. Seems to be mostly a golf resort for most folks. Not a lot to do in the area unless you want to fish or golf or swim.

We did not realize when we booked that we were on the 3rd floor with no elevator and we had to lug up 11 month old twins and our other kid plus all our crap. The hall smelled like pot and the air conditioning in the room was just a window unit that barely worked. The air was musty and and the sheets had an order to them. All and all we won’t be back

Beautiful location, Very clean but very dated. Shower water was hot, common areas very clean. Supposed to have a “quiet zone” after 10 PM but could hear neighbors TV blaring all night through the wall (as well as hearing the next room neighbor yawning and talking ) and the beds were the absolute worst beds we’ve ever slept in-Very creaky as well as hard as a rock. (Reminded me of those old solid top boxsprings that they had back in the day-not trying to be snarky, just descriptive.) Could’ve dealt with the thin walls if the beds were better

The lodge was very clean and well maintained. Staff very pleasant. Only thing that was is that you could hear upstairs room walking on floor and tv not facing the beds.

i checked in at 3pm. I was given a room at the Pesidential Building. This is 1/4 mile away from the primary recotion area.The handicap is down hill and 100 yards from the front door. When i arrived at my room , housekeeping had never been there. The furnishing are also very shabby. I tried to call the front desk,nobody answers the phone, it goes to voice mail. I left this "resort" and went to another hotel.Beautiful grounds, Shabby rooms.

I booked through Expedia at a certain price then when I received confirmation it was $ 20 more per night. I spoke with Manager Sue by phone and she stated she will honor Expedia price upon check in. I arrived and she wouldn't. So Poland Spring Resort will not honor Expedia's pricing.

VERY "mom and pop" feel to a nice, unassuming hotel. The front office is welcoming and helpful, the beds are some of the best I've stayed at, and the shower's water pressure is VERY nice. We stayed for one night, but there is a community kitchen you can use so if you stay longer, you can have convenience of cooking a meal and not eating out the whole time. Only slight complaint is that you can hear the main road at times, but it didn't upset our sleeping.

We really liked the convenience of The Lodge at Poland Springs. It was perfectly suited to our needs for the weekend and visiting certain sites. Very very interesting hearing of the history of Poland Springs and the resort. We would definitely stay here again.

I cycled to the resort. It was hot and the first thing that the wonderful woman at reception provided was two cold bottles of Poland spring water! That’s just what I needed! The resort is beautiful, quit and peaceful. I loved the history!

A beautiful, clean complex. Lots to do, delicious food, yummy drinks. I will def stay here again and bring my family. I traveled alone. I felt safe. The resort is 35 minutes to Portland airport, which I had an early flight hence my stay.

No coffee in the room, no milk for coffee in breakfast area, no breakfast, office opens at 8 AM nobody there even at 9 AM when we left, no wifi , TV screen so dirty I'm surprised you could even see a picture, two different places to stay but not indicated on hotels.com and we got put in the worst one .

The staff at Poland Spring Resort were pleasant and Mel’s Hilltop Restaurant was a great value with a beautiful view of the golf course. We really enjoyed our burgers, fries & local beer selection.

ENJOYED THE BREAKFAST BUFFET. THE SCENERY IS BREATHTAKING. DIDN'T THINK THE POSITIONING OF THE SOAP DISPENSERS IN THE SHOWERS WERE THE BEST AND WERE IN MY WAY.

First I don't give perfect scores as there is always room for improvements. Our room was exactly as described. Very clean and if you needed anything all you had to do was ask and they would take care of it. Breakfast buffet was fantastic. Well priced. Amenities were as advertised and more. Beautiful resort.
