Hideaway Inn Mt Snow

Retro ski lodge ambiance. Breakfast included. Large hot tub. Refrigerator for guest use in game room. Lot’s of great public spaces to off-set smallish hotel rooms. Super close to ski area.

Quiet hotel, easy check in. Was disappointed that pool was not in working condition, should be explained at the website. Common areas inside are spacious and inviting to relax, read a book.

It was ok for the price. I could hear the people walking around above me but that stopped by bedtime. The room didn’t have a refrigerator so I went to the community refrigerator but it was tiny. There were no towels in the bathroom but an automated text directed me where to find them in the hall. The volume on the tv wouldn’t go beyond 14 so it was difficult to hear, especially with the air conditioner on. The pool was not functioning and I had left my activity early so I could go for a swim. The shower was pretty good and the bed was comfortable.

Murky water in pool made it unusable. Comfy bed and room was clean. Building needs some updating but overall it was okay.

The rooms were compact, but appeared to be newly remolded. Bathroom small, but nicely done and clean. Lots of common space for groups to hang out, indoors and out. Easy, contactless check in. Be sure to read the ammenities. No refrigerator or microwave in room. We finally found a small fridge in a common space, but there wasn't any room for our food as others had their food in there. My biggest issue was that we drove out of our way to have a hotel with a pool. Their webpage highlights a beautiful outdoor pool-- perfect for the 90 degree weekend. When we arrived, a small sign on the registration desk said that the pool was closed. By the looks of the water, it had been closed for more than a day or two, plenty of time for the hotel to notify their guests. There should be a discount when a significant ammenty is unavailable as this was the only reason we booked this hotel with our kids. Outside of the hotel is shabby and common spaces are dated, but nice.

I think this place would have been fine if I didn't have higher expectations. Never saw any staff, check in and out was over the phone. That was weird. Pool was green. No breakfast options except tea and coffee. Only 2 towels for a three person reservation. Room was very small (and no fire place) Looks like a nice place in the winter when there are staff around.

The stay was fine as it was a value based decision. The room was nice, clean and bathroom was good. TV and Ac worked well. However, the pool was closed, and no advance notice was given. Was a main reason for choosing this location and it was a holiday weekend. So it was disappointing and the pool was green. Also, the coffee machine was also out of service. Otherwise the off-season stay was fine.

Overall, I would have no qualms about staying at the Mountaineer Inn during future trips to Mt. Snow. This property is well maintained and the rooms are exceptionally spacious. The staff are friendly and very accommodating, though having a second person on hand during breakfast would be helpful. Breakfast was ho-hum; would love it if they added some additional protein options--yogurt was available--such as hard boiled eggs, microwaveable pre-cooked omelets, as well as things like pre-cooked pancakes, waffles, or a waffle iron with batter. (I know the inn advertises a continental breakfast and that these items technically fall outside this category, but it wouldn't take much effort to up their game in this way.) The outdoor hot tub is large and I was glad to see that it had been repaired in time for our stay. The hot tub cover is somewhat unwieldly and may require two adults to remove it.

I got this hotel because it said it had a pool and hot tub and I had my children with me, I told them the whole car ride when we got there we could go swimming. When we got to the hotel the pool wasn’t running/had a tarp over it and neither was the hot tub. It was a huge disappointment for my kids and that was the whole reason I picked this hotel was because of the pool and hot tub for my kids. I would have went somewhere a lot closer and cheaper. That should have been on the website.

Worst Stay, left after 3 hours. No staff on site after 5p, no answer on their emergency line, the did text back. I couldnt get the heater/ air con to work and response was use the remote. After opening the windows and sidewalk door it cooled down. I bent over to plug in my phone and a bed bug crawled out of the corner of the bed. I packed up and left. I still havent recieved a full refund, as they still owe me for some cancellation fee. I was on the 1st floor.

Very clean and comfortable stay. Loved the lounge. Hotel provided water, snake and yogurt for skiers. The only comment is for late check ins, please contact hotel early since there would be no one at front deck after 6pm. But overall we had a wonderful stay.

My wife and I actually stayed here twice over the last two weeks. The first time was ok and would have had a better rating if it was not for this week. This week we had walked into the room and it felt like it had not been cleaned or had the sheets changed. There was toothpaste on the wall in the bathtub. I found a sewing needle on the carpet that could have been stepped on. The sheets had some stains that looked like they might not have been changed and a towel also seemed to have some kind of stain on it. There was also a knocking sound that would not stop through the night that got aggrivating. We definitely will be checking out some other places to stay in the area before staying here again.

Rooms and common areas were very clean. The Inn Keeper is friendly and helpful. The main sitting area is cozy, with a grand wood-burning fireplace, large-screen TV, and many board games and books for all ages. The Moover shuttle to/from Mount Snow stops at the Inn and is quite convenient. All in all, the Mountaineer provides a great base camp for a ski trip to Mount Snow.

Clean, quiet room. Not very spacious for more than 2 guests.

Cute vibe, but room was miniature, no staff to help with faulty door keypads, salt needed on parking area, bathroom near breakfast lounge was filthy, and overall you were on your own. Location to mountain was great.

We had a pleasant stay. The staff were helpful when we had trouble operating the electronic lock to the room. Room was clean, fairly modern and adequate for our short stay. We liked the coffee maker and appreciated the morning snacks.

The room is tiny but clean. The wall is thin so we can hear people walking up and down on the stairs because our room is very close to the staircase.

The facility was clean and the front desk staff was friendly. However, the rooms were probably the smallest I've ever stayed in. There was no closet and we could barely open the door to the room. I can't imagine being in that room with snow gear (we stayed in the off season).

I really liked my stay. The only issue I had was a bit too much noise from a neighboring room. They were not super loud. I think the walls are not that sound proof.

Property is a little dated, but it was clean and the bed was comfortable. Room was small but it was after all, a hotel room.

Great common areas for multi families and they were set aside so that no noise to the bedrooms. The bedrooms are miserably small but very clean.

Check in just ok. All online. No staff present to assist. Room was small and poorly equipped. No fridge or microwave. There was no coffee machine in the room or common areas. No ice machine or water/soft drink machines. Dont think we would return.

The room was nothing like it showed in the posting. It was dark and dingy, when in the photos it looks very modern and bright. Bathroom was very small, very outdated unlike the pictures. There is no one to really help you as there’s not really a front desk. I left my phone in the room after we checked out, my phone had the code to the room on it so I didn’t remember it. Obviously it’s my fault I left it in the room but I couldn’t find a single person that works there to help open the door. It was a miracle that my boyfriend remembered the code, so we were able to get in, but still very frustrating. When in the bathroom you could hear the people next to you talking. Very uncomfortable. It felt almost like the beginning of a horror movie. Overall, it is false advertising. I don’t recommend.

Unassuming from the outside but nicely done on the inside. Room was clean, comfortable and sufficiently equipped. Common areas were plentiful and inviting, and I just loved the smell of lavender that greeted me every time I entered the lobby. Would stay here again.

There was hardly ever an attendant at the desk so it was difficult to get information or help with anything. There was a mouse in our room. A fridge in the room would have been nice.

Check in was very stressful. There was no one there to assist,when could not access room. Also had 2 rooms booked which at first could not be found. It would be helpful to always have someone or a contact number that can assist a person eho is not computer or technology savy Been to this propertyseveral times however when there was someone avaiable and loved my stay. Enjoy the property overall

Never got a room because the hotel is under renovation. My reservation was confirmed, but they required an online check-in claiming convenience and ease. After the completion of this check-in the room number and door lock code would be issued. This is a total scam. The on-line check-in required complete credit card info plus pictures of yourself and a photo ID. Needless to say that didn’t happen, but I was constantly sent text messages requesting that I complete this procedure. The exterior of the hotel was being paired by several workers when I arrived. The parking lot was empty and the reception office doors were all locked. Fortunately I was able to find other accommodations nearby. Hopefully I can get my money back.

We got there and were unable to get in. No code send. Had to call for code, the code they sent didn’t work finally after about 20 minutes another guest showed up and let us in. Advertising pool, the pool was closed

When we got here there is no staff on. You register on a tablet and then they text you the room number and entry Cody. Ours didn’t work and I finally got a hold of someone and they sent a new entry coated so we could get in. They do not serve breakfast and the coffee maker was broken. They did respond to me and recommend a couple local restaurants.

Check in was easy. The inn was clean and well maintained. Patrick was and excellent host, very accommodating and responsive.

There is no staff, you have to check in yourself. While we tried to check in , we were asked to give $151.53 deposit.There were 4 ladies waiting there for 45 minutes for the text messages with the codes to enter rooms.... we asked them about the deposit, they said they had to give $50 deposit, so we decided to call and ask why we should be paying $151.53. After talking to customer service and doing the check in with her, this time the screen asked for $50 deposit. Everything took much longer then it should. The ladies that were waiting for codes, spent an hour and half just to get in the rooms, the codes weren't working and it happened few times. When we came back from town we turned on the air conditioner... we learned, it was barely working. It would work for about 30 minutes blowing barely cool air and stop completely. It would not go back on again untill we turned it on manually again, we tried this several times. It was 80 degrees in the room, we called customer service, the lady said she will let the maintenance know and he will come by.We waited 40 minutes and decided to call again.She offered us different room, but she said it might be a downgrade, we couldn't agree to that, after going back and forth, she gave us room across. Same problem, called again, it was HOT all night, we asked for refund, nothing. I noticed reading reviews ,the manager responds only to good ones. Bad service, dirty windows , no ice , no working coffee maker DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY

The room looked nothing like the photos. The bathroom was updated and clean. Can’t beat the location….

People are extremely nice! About an 8 minute walk from Carinthia, however the MOOver picks up every 10-15 minutes! Have been here multiple times and would highly recommend!

This place was pretty good. It’s close to the mountain, but you can’t walk, it’s too far and along a main road. There is a shuttle that comes. The breakfast was ok - no cream cheese for the bagels?? We got a suite and the room was a nice size, but didn’t really have a table for eating. It also had a balcony. The reason for four stars is there is no internal deadbolt or chain lock. Theoretically anyone with a master code could get in. And the front door appears to be unlocked 24/7 with no receptionist. Single woman with child, I want more. Also it would have been nice to have a bathtub at the end of a day skiing.

Great location

Everything you would want in a quaint Vermont town. Room was small, yet cozy. Nice sitting area. Was pleasantly surprised, that their continental breakfast consisted of a sit down home cooked meal, with a choice of an omlette, home fries and a croissant, or French toast with fresh fruit! Innkeeper was fabulous! Would definitely recommend this place!

Quick to mountain and local area restaurants; good common space to hang out in, and simple free breakfast. They ran out of cold regular drinking water, though, only hot water from the coffee machine after our first day and the other two days no cool water for the kids. Also the lock system is a bit finnicky - had to get it reset.

Great access to the Moover but the hot tub was closed (since the summer, and we were looking forward to using it this winter) and there wasn’t a hot breakfast like the property once offered. I wasn’t fully aware of these changes so was a bit disappointed. For the cost, would have preferred an Airbnb.

Great Location for Mount Snow. Either walk, shuttle, or drive to the mountain. Room was much smaller than expected but clean and beds were comfortable. Lights over bathroom vanity were very dim, no hand soap in bathroom. Only 2 Towels for the 4 people in our room. Complimentary coffee machine was nice however, hotel advertised breakfast was included and there was no breakfast available. Did not encounter one employee, just a sign at the counter to text someone if we had an issue. So, the hotel was fine to stay at, just don't expect much more than a place to stay with no amenities or employees to assist you.

Patrick was amazing! And breakfast everyday was great! The Moover was also a great bonus of staying here.

Cute and quaint inn. Easy check in, check out. Super close to Mount Snow! Great communication with the staff. Clean room & bathroom, just a little small. But the common area, game room area and dining area, all with fireplaces, make up for it. And the continental breakfast was a plus!

We were very disappointed with our stay. After staying at the Mountaineer before, we happily booked again expecting the same service and amenities as our previous stay. Unfortunately they have made changes that severely impact the guest experience. Where there was previously a full made to order breakfast, there is now a very sad selection of bagels, granola bars, hard boiled eggs, and yogurt. The coffee was bad. The jacuzzi that we were so looking forward to either no longer exists or is just not available for guest use. The staff was scarce and unapologetic. Even the room upgrades they made since our last visit were done sloppily, with crooked/upside down pictures, holes in the wall, and paint splatter. I would not recommend the Mountaineer in its current state of service. It is not worth the cost at all. I've requested a partial refund but have not heard back from management.
