Unfortunately we were only booked at NaNa Vida for one night, and we left early in the morning before breakfast was served. I wish we had stayed longer! Very nice rooms, quiet, beautiful inner court yard. Staff helpful. If we return to Oaxaca, we will try to stay multiple nights.

Wow! We just left after a 4 day stay at this wonderful boutique hotel! We had the same experiences so many other of the amazingly positive reviews! The hotel is charming and has a beautiful interior courtyard, which is set up for breakfast service. From check-in to check out, the staff was absolutely amazing and their thoughtfulness and kindness throughout our stay was present every day! The hotel is located in a very convenient spot for walking and exploring the city. We would definitely return without hesitation, and encourage everyone else to do so as well!

We loved our stay at NaNa Vida. The hotel has the best customer service we’ve ever received. The rooms are big and spacious and the hotel is in the perfect area. The hotel has a very peaceful courtyard which we loved after a long day of walking. There is also a small spa you can book into - we got amazing massages. We were made to feel so welcome and would definitely return.

From the moment we arrived, staff was extremely welcoming and friendly. Definitely felt like they went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable and we certainly did. It felt like home away from home. Overall clean and well kept facilities. Location is just right, not too far and not too close to everything. Walking distance from the various gardens, plazas and museums.

The staff were very attentive and cheerful. They went out of their way to make us comfortable. The inner courtyard was calm, lovely, and inviting. Breakfast options were an included continental breakfast with fresh fruits, a variety of breads, coffees, etc. For a nominal fee you could order eggs, toast, ham. The rooms were spacious and well appointed. The beds were very comfortable and they provide a white noise machine and earplugs! I highly recommend this property!

My stay at NanaVida was absolutely amazing! I really enjoyed our stay and it was exactly what I was looking for! The staff was very nice and very attentive to our needs! The staff made sure our stay was amazing! The location was great. Walking distance to all of the main attractions. Very calm and quite place!we really enjoyed ourselves and relaxed while being here! Breakfast was delicious and the massages / spa was amazing! Definitely 10/10 for this place. Will definitely stay here again. Nuestro hospedaje en NanaVida fue absolutamente maravilloso! El personal nos recivio con los brazos abiertos y nos iso sentir como en casa! Todos fueron muy amables y muy atentos. Definitivamente es un lugar donde voy a regresar y quedarme otra vez. Stayed for 1 night. Great experience! Staff was super attentive and friendly. Room was spacious. Booked a massage with the spa and it was also great. Convenient location within walking distance to many cute shops, restaurants and sites.

Excelente lugar para hospedarse, esta cerca del centro de Oaxaca. Te dan la bienvenida amablemente y son muy atentos. A nosotros nos atendio un jovencito en sus 20s en la area de cantina y nos hizo sentir bievenidos. El desayuno incluido fue perfecto no queriamos desayunar tan temprano pero la fruta y el chocolate estuvo bien para empezar el dia. Lo unico malo que tengo que decir es que no habia estacionamiento. Llegamos un domingo y tuvimos que ir hasta el parque llano a dejar el correo por la noche.

The service is excellent and the rooms / courtyard are beautiful. Unfortunately the shower wasn't great - low water pressure and inconsistent temperature. We also found the floor in the room to be dirty - not sure if this was due to the tiles used or what as it didn't seem to be the type of hotel to lack cleanliness. Breakfast was OK. Location is perfect. If you are driving, make sure to find a nearby car park in advance using Google Maps and check the opening hours as some don't open till 9am and close on a Sunday so you lose access to your car.

En general nuestra experiencia fue magnífica. El lugar es muy bonito y cómodo, la habitación es limpia, buen internet, siempre hay agua caliente, muy tranquilo se puede descansar. El personal fue muy atento y amable en todo momento. Sin duda voy a regresar. Gracias Nana Vida Hotel Oaxaca!

This is a wonderful small hotel in the heart of Oaxaca. You enter the gate/door and find yourself in a peaceful and quiet courtyard met by courteous and helpful staff. Our room was immaculate and cleaned each day with fresh towels and bedding. Leaving this small oasis you find yourself minutes walking distant from the many sights and restaurants in the historic center of Oaxaca. We would happily return to this hotel

The staff at this property were so amazing. They were kind and attentive. Every time you walked in they asked how they could help, offered you a water, and were happy to provide recommendations. However, the rooms could use some deep cleaning. We had small ants all over the bathroom counter. The sheets were pilled and could use replacing, and the floors need to be scrubbed. Additionally it would be great if they added floor length mirrors in the room. The courtyard could also use some deep cleaning and some more comfortable seating areas where you can curl up and read a book. All in all the stay was fine for the price point, but not particularly comfortable.

This is a beautiful hotel. Staff are wonderful and so helpful. They offer you water bottles and carrying your bags to your room. I got a free artisanal handmade soap! The free continental breakfast was perfect for me! Room was clean, beds comfortable, and air conditioning was awesome! I would stay here again!

We stayed four nights at NaNa Vida and had an excellent experience. The staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. They were always around and willing to help make our stay comfortable. We stayed there over Christmas, and the hotel surprised all of the guests with a small gift under Christmas tree on Christmas morning. The hotel has a beautiful courtyard for breakfast and just hanging out. It was very quiet at night, other than the fireworks associated with Christmas that were going off everywhere in the city (which weren't a problem for sleeping). The hotel supplies ear plugs and a noise machine for guests, but it was among the more tranquil hotels we have stayed in, so they certainly weren't necessary. The location is great; it is close enough to the zócalo and other downtown Oaxaca attractions that you can get there with a short walk but far enough from the crowds that you don't have lots of street noise or noisy bars/restaurants to deal with. There were no barking dogs like you sometimes get in the city. The hotel felt very safe, and there was plenty of hot water in the shower (which can sometimes be an issue in hotels). The staff speak English, so you don't need to need to speak any Spanish to communicate. The Wifi was very good (we had no problems). Breakfast included hot chocolate and coffee/espressro drinks in addition to mixed breads and fruits (continental breakfast). More substantial options were available for purchase. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful common spaces, large and well-decorated room, and very friendly and hospitable staff. I had a very early flight and the staff were super helpful in determining how early I should leave and booking me a cab. They also provided some cute gifts! I’d love to come back for a longer stay!

Great location. Beds were good and it is quiet. Had problems with AC not working and no hot water at shower. Got the morning off to a quick start. Needs a little better maintenance on there end.

The staff was genuinely hospitable and helpful. Property was well-located and quiet. I felt like the rooms are pretty basic and poorly lit. Bath products should be higher quality. And there should be more effort to clean the walkways and courtyard landscaping.

This hotel provided superior best in class customer service. The property courtyard is beautiful and quiet. It is located within only a few blocks of essential places and excellent restaurants and shopping. Special thanks to Eve, Cristian and Ivonne for their excellent care and attention. Our stay at Na Na Vida was Great. The staff very attentive & asked nearly every time we passed the receptionist if we needed anything... Obviously management has trained them well.. They even helped with a business need BEAUTIFUL GROUNDS as well

From the moment we arrived, staff was extremely welcoming and friendly. Definitely felt like they went above and beyond to make sure we felt comfortable and we certainly did. It felt like home away from home. Overall clean and well kept facilities. Location is just right, not too far and not too close to everything. Walking distance from the various gardens, plazas and museums.

This is a beautiful hotel. Staff are wonderful and so helpful. They offer you water bottles and carrying your bags to your room. I got a free artisanal handmade soap! The free continental breakfast was perfect for me! Room was clean, beds comfortable, and air conditioning was awesome! I would stay here again!

I absolutely love this hotel and their staff!!! This has been THE best experience I've had in a hotel ever. The staff is always making sure you have what you need and they shower you with gifts from the moment you arrive. You get an artisanal soap for each family member, mezcal, and artisanal bracelets for the kids. They have unlimited water, soda, sparkling water, and sport drinks at the front desk. Continental breakfast included every morning with fresh fruit cut every morning and orange juice squeezed daily. On departure, there are more presents, coffee beans for the guys, and an artisanal blouse for the girls. We had some minor issues with our room, but the staff was fast and efficient to solve them. We will come back on our next trip to Oaxaca!!!

A hidden gem. From the moment of our late arrival, Christian checked us in, showed us to our requested ground floor room, explained the amenities and gave us our welcome gift - aromatic local soap in our choice of aromas. The continental breakfast of breads, fresh juice and fruit was delicious. Several days we opted for the upgraded. The courtyard was cool and inviting as was the open air lobby. egg breakfast. Ale and Eva, two of the staff, could not have been more welcoming and helpful.We were always offered cool bottled water or other beverages. The open air courtyard and lobby were shaded with a beautiful breeze. The staff ordered taxis for us (we were there for a wedding) and they were prompt and inexpensive. All in all, a perfect central location for our wedding festivities.

Property is walkable to the Zocalo, Mercatos, St.Domingo church, Jalatlaco and the ADO bus station. comfortable bed, great breakfast choices. Nice accomodations and walking distance to major sites. The staff was great. In the early morning you will be awaken by the birds. Wear ur earplus. A lot of great restaurants nearby. We walked to the ADO bus station and took a dau trip to Puerto Escondido. Would like to come back an stay here and explore more of Oaxaca.

I highly recommend this hotel if you're staying in Oaxaca Centro!! Super convenient and walkable location. We arrived by bus from Puerto Escondido and it was only a short walk from the bus stop and an even shorter walk the following day to our tour meet-up point. Won't need a car at all until you're heading to the airport! The staff and service are also excellent. We were able to each choose our own artisan soap (you pick the scent, and they cut you off a huge chunk right there!). They also had a mini-fridge by the reception desk where you could go and ask for water, soda/pop, gatorade etc as much as you wanted throughout the day for free. Continental breakfast was included and the staff brought you everything you needed including tea, coffee, juice and locally baked bread. The entire hotel is covered with artwork from local artists -- in the lobby, in your hotel room, the courtyard, everywhere! It was such a unique and wonderful place to stay - we'll definitely stay there again when we return to Oaxaca!!

In the modernized traditional Oaxacan design, beautiful tranquil courtyard with matured big tree to provide shade. Love the traditional wood door, wood window frame with wood shutter. But the big marbel covered bathroom is totally modern, clean and well done. Staff are friendly and eager to do a good job. Love all of them. It is centrally located, Santo Domingo, Zócalo and Mercados are all within a few blocks. Neighborhood is totally safe, even walking in the evenings, never had the slightest feeling being threatened. Definitely will stay here on my next trip early next year.

La estancia fue muy agradable, llegamos muy de madrugada e hicieron lo posible por darnos las habitaciones antes de tiempo. El trato y atención de todo el personal fue excelente. El desayuno delicioso y completo, accesible en costo. Muy cerca del andador turístico, de restaurantes, mezcalerias y cafés.

Loved our stay at this hotel. The interior courtyard is peaceful and shaded, the room decor is tasteful and funky, and the breakfast and coffee is superb. Especially have to say a big thank you to all the hotel staff who were so helpful and professional and real people without any pretension. If we return will stay here again.

Beautiful Mexican hacienda kind of space. Immediately makes you feel like you are in Mexico. Great staff, very attentive and friendly. No shortage of water bottles, very needed for the dry heat. The room was spacious, clean, great addition of the white noise machine, and full of charm. I found odd that the toilet was running only on hot water and very slow to fill. Cold water pressure in the shower was very low, it was mostly very, very hot water. Breakfast was good but wish they had a couple more options.

The hotel and courtyard were very cute. The included continental breakfast was good. Minor complaints were that the hot water wasn't consistently hot and the power went out briefly (5 minutes) while using the hair dryer. Water pressure was just ok. These issues are probably based on the infrastructure in the old city, not the hotel itself.

The staff were great and the location and property were perfect for the needs we had. The heating in the room did not work the first night but you provided a heater for the second night and that worked. The breakfast was not very good. The overall stay was very good but did not rise to the level of "excellent".

Nana Vida was in the perfect location for our groups stay. Every single person that worked there was incredibly welcoming and always checking in to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying our time. We loved our stay at NaNa Vida and would not hesitate to stay there again based on our experience. First of all, it's a beautiful hotel very well situated in central Oaxaca. The interior courtyards is beautiful and we enjoyed eating our complimentary continental breakfast there every morning. We also took advantage of the full breakfast for purchase and it was worth it. The beds were comfy and there's A/C. NaNa Vida went above and beyond, offering welcoming and departing gifts and having a "candy bar" available for the kids. I also had a massage on site. It was easy to book and really a wonderful experience. The only issue we had was difficulty with our hot water, but the staff was incredibly responsive each time, and we felt well cared for. Thanks so much, NaNa Vida!
