Great safe location with a super comfy bed and quaint room! I had been travelling all week with meetings in Caledon today so this was the perfect spot to relax and get a good nights sleep. Located above a general store and a historic building the owner did a great job to renovate the space above to create 2 lovely spacious rooms. I only wish I would have had time to visit the store or area.

Escarpment suite is very nice. Bed is very comfortable, fridge is hidden but fully functional. Sitting room is very comfortable with many amenities. Very clean. Best part of Cheltenham Suites is the backyard, which sits on a charming little river, the Credit. We sat in the chairs and watched the water go by, enjoyed the breeze and the flowers, it was very peaceful. Staff at the General store downstairs gave us advice on where to go for lunch and sightseeing, which was excellent advice. Had a wonderful stay and will definitely go back.

The room was beautiful with a comfortable bed and an adjacent sitting room. The cleaning person and store staff were helpful. The only issue which was as advertised were a fairly long set of stairs to the suite.

For a suite located a distance from certain amenities such as dining, we found the fridge a bit small aa we brought a few groceries knowing we couldn't walk to a dining location. Parking was nice and close but felt bad for takong up space for a business. Overall was a great spot.

I loved that this property was on a river, with chairs to enjoy watching the water. There were also massive old trees to admire, perhaps 400 years old. Also, there was a shared deck to use if wanted. The room was in a (perhaps 200 year old?) building above a quaint country general store. Everything went very well with a code to get into and out of the building and room.

It’s a lovely old building (circa 1857) full of charm…like stepping back in time. Breakfast is not included but you can go downstairs to the General Store and get a breakfast sandwich (and have a chat with the lady making it) that’s better than any fast food chain makes.

We want to give a good review, but the Suite currently has a significant Ant infestation & there are a lot of dead flies that need to be cleaned up (the window sill was not cleaned for a long time). We couldn't eat or keep any food inside the Suite, due to Ants crawling everywhere. Otherwise, lovely place, quaint, historic, quiet, nice decor, convenient key code, easy parking. We would rebook for another visit- but not until assured that it is cleared of the Ants. We discovered them in every area- bedroom, bathroom, sitting room, closet.

Clean room, VERY spacious, great checkin instuctions. One small i.provement would be to have either more boot trays at the main entrance, or a boot tray in the room. Didnt love putting my salty wet wi ter boots right on the beautiful hard wood floors!

Spacious and immaculate. Easy arrival. Surprisingly big. Skylight in bathroom. King size bed was good: not overly firm. Would have liked a lighter blanket plus the sheet. Duvet pretty but too heavy for summer. Nice sitting room also: coffeemaker makes 5 cups. Furnishings antique. Air conditioning was good. Bathroom immaculate.

A lamp on the night side table had been repaired with scotch tape around the socket holding the light bulb. It was both a fire hazard and an electrocution hazard. No one had swept under the dressers or bed for a very long time. Lots of dust and a few other items. While there was a plate provided to be used in the Microwave it had gold edging and could not be used without creating a hazard. The coffee was not real good. Nice the general store had great coffee and breakfast sandwiches. Lovely patio area to enjoy them too. Light bulbs in the ceiling fixtures were burned out so lighting was inadequate. The bed was very comfy and we enjoyed the quaint nature of the building. The cleaner of the apartment next to us could have been quieter. Someone checked out early and we did not need the music quite so early.

The accommodations were great. The rooms were clean, nicely decorated and inviting. The keyless entry was easy and convenient and allowed us to arrive on our time. This suite had a king bed and a pull out couch. We were 3 adults on a weekend adventure so the room suited us. Unfortunately the pull out couch mattress was extremely uncomfortable, this was our major complaint. The only other minor hiccup was the shower, it took a long time for the water to get hot, but once it was up to temperature it was a lovely shower. I would definitely recommend this suite.

The room (Badlands) was spacious with a comfortable bed, nice bathroom with a walk-in shower and a sitting area with a kitchenette. Entrance was self-serve with side door and room codes required. The building is a beautiful 1800’s (?) historical stone structure, wide plank flooring and exposed ceiling beams. Very traditional and quite romantic. Great value for the price. I would definitely start there again.

We like the area because it was convenient for us. The building is gorgeous. We needed the extra bed sheet for the pullout coach and we found them in a bunch not folded and not sure they were cleaned and that was not cool. Room next door turned on their TV set at 5 AM, woke us up, not cool.

It is a beautiful historic building situated in a gorgeous unique natural landscape! The room was amazing and the store was very quaint with very friendly staff. Definitely going to return, more than once!

For a suite located a distance from certain amenities such as dining, we found the fridge a bit small aa we brought a few groceries knowing we couldn't walk to a dining location. Parking was nice and close but felt bad for takong up space for a business. Overall was a great spot.

It is a beautiful historic building situated in a gorgeous unique natural landscape! The room was amazing and the store was very quaint with very friendly staff. Definitely going to return, more than once!

I loved that this property was on a river, with chairs to enjoy watching the water. There were also massive old trees to admire, perhaps 400 years old. Also, there was a shared deck to use if wanted. The room was in a (perhaps 200 year old?) building above a quaint country general store. Everything went very well with a code to get into and out of the building and room.

A lamp on the night side table had been repaired with scotch tape around the socket holding the light bulb. It was both a fire hazard and an electrocution hazard. No one had swept under the dressers or bed for a very long time. Lots of dust and a few other items. While there was a plate provided to be used in the Microwave it had gold edging and could not be used without creating a hazard. The coffee was not real good. Nice the general store had great coffee and breakfast sandwiches. Lovely patio area to enjoy them too. Light bulbs in the ceiling fixtures were burned out so lighting was inadequate. The bed was very comfy and we enjoyed the quaint nature of the building. The cleaner of the apartment next to us could have been quieter. Someone checked out early and we did not need the music quite so early.

It’s a lovely old building (circa 1857) full of charm…like stepping back in time. Breakfast is not included but you can go downstairs to the General Store and get a breakfast sandwich (and have a chat with the lady making it) that’s better than any fast food chain makes.

The old General store building is a part of the local heritage the suite on the second floor is also a part of that heritage. The room was full of character and charm. I would definitely book this location again.

The bathroom was squeaky clean, and the towels were soft and fluffy! The window blinds and air conditioner, TV and coffee maker worked well. The internet service is not strong in the area, perhaps due to being low in the Glen! The bed was comfortable, clean, too, but the top of the headboard was quite dusty. Overall, would recommend.

Check in was easy with detailed instructions from the host. Accommodations were as described. Light from general story button shining in our room throughout the night. Also, he found several cobwebs hanging from the walls and rafters this was a disappointment. Recommend property for someone who just needs a place to sleep.
