The Hotel is awesome from pulling up to checking out. The Hampton Inn & Suites was clean and smelled fresh. The breakfast was tasty. We had our dog with us and being a pet friendly hotel we had no issues. Will definitely stay here again when visiting Charleston.

Convenient to highway and airport. Room was clean and comfortable, staff friendly, decent breakfast with choices. We had a king bed with a sofa bed for the kid and both were comfortable. Even good pillows. Pool was fine, we actually used it two days and was only lightly attended and it was nice they had pool towels. Only note: No big deal for me but some may need to bring own body wash/soap if you are particular as there is only shampoo and conditioner in shower. Surprise bonus was you could not hear airport/ airplanes flying nearby from hotel interior. We will use again next time we visit.

The check-in process was easy and our room was ready before the standard check-in time which was a bonus. The breakfast was excellent as well as the shuttle service which would take you anywhere within a 5 mile radius. I would highly recommend this hotel especially if you are in town for an event at the coliseum.

Weve stayed here twice and love it in general. But this past stay we left with bed bug bites from one of the two rooms we rented. My daughter and i both had several bites all over us. I did call and notify management however it was a weekend and the general manager was not available. I never received a call back or acknowledgement of the issue.

Everything started great, the hotel is beautiful upon walking in and had a great cinnamon smell. Staff was great, rooms were good. Btw front desk Ken was great :) No complaints until I went to shower and sleep. I found small bugs in the tub, on the room rug, and on the tables in the room. I am not from the south so I thought maybe it was a seasonal thing. I had reserved two rooms where my travel buddy mentioned to me on the morning we were checking out, that those were NOT seasonal bugs and were actually COCKROACHES! I had seen them roaming in my room and she had seen them in her room too. We had to disinfect our things before we left and arrived home to clean EVERYTHING for fear of eggs and reproducing bugs. I had been to South Carolina on occasion and didn’t have this issue at other hotels. It was my first time at this hotel, my travel buddy had been multiple times but we won’t be returning. Sucks because everything else was convenient but cockroaches are no joke. Only made worse by returning home and feeling extremely gross.

The staff was very friendly. The lobby, hallways and rooms were exceptionally clean. The breakfasts were varied and fresh. Free water and coffee appreciated. Use of large refillable bottles of shampoo, conditioner and lotion was good for the environment. Would definitely stay there on our next trip to Charleston!

Upon checking in, the lady at the desk took a phone call during my check in process, leaving me standing there until a nice man walked up to finish helping me. The room smelled like a nursing home unfortunately. The lights and door handles are NOT cleaned or wiped. Several of them had gunk on or around them. So bad that I had to go and ask the desk for Lysol wipes and wiped them down myself.

The room was very clean. The lobby was well tended and clean. Breakfast was the best breakfast I have ever had at a hotel. All around a very good place to stay. The room we stayed in had a thermostat that was sitting crooked on the wall. It also had a big gap in the wall under the thermostat. I meant to tell the front desk about it when we left, but forgot. It was a little disconcerting to hav a hole in the wall wondering if there was a hidden camera in there. Otherwise, everything was very nice.

The entire facility was beyond my expectations of clean. 10/10 rating! The staff was very welcoming and friendly. Always willing to help and gave great advice of good dining options in the area. Bedding was very comfortable and clean. I will stay here again when I return!

Friendly staff at the front desk for check in, and the cookies were a nice touch! Our room is clean, with a nice big tv, plenty of outlets and nice and bright! I hate a dim room. The bathroom is clean, love the large bottles of shampoo and conditioner, and love how bright it is. The beds are comfortable. Our room on the 3rd floor is quiet. My son forgot his toothbrush and the front desk was able to supply a replacement for him. We will likely stay here again as we will have to come into town for medical appointments and it’s close enough to MUSC without the hefty pricetag that goes with being in Charleston.

Had room reservation for another family member coming in later during week of my stay. They had issue and we’re not going to arrive until the following day. I went to the front desk and advise them they they would be arriving a day late and I didn’t want to lose the room reservation for the rest of the week. I was advise it would be fine that it was taken care of. They arrived next day to check in and the Hampton had rented they room and we were advised the hotel was booked. I complained to the manager who stated there was nothing she could do because she had no other rooms and all the other local hotels were booked. . They had to sleep in car. Very disappointed

Once there, this Hampton does it right! The TV control is simple, connecting to the internet is a breeze... using your phone as a room key... brilliant!... logging out of netflix automatic when you leave.. others should follow you! Comfortable bed and pillows... highly recommended!

It was just okay, nothing great. Room service (towels, bedding) comes every other day, and we needed towels for showers on a day when housekeeping did not come. I called for shower towels and never received them, so I called again about 8 hours later and was told if I wanted towels I would have to come down to the lobby to get them. Apparently the first person I spoke with dropped the ball, and the second person I spoke with said she just started her shift and didn’t know anything about it. Anyway, it was just ok, not great, but not terrible

Excellent communication from the staff and extremely updated/renovated/clean rooms. I really appreciated the refillable shampoo, conditioner and body lotion in the rooms as a way to limit plastic waste. The hotel provided an airport shuttle and promised a Lyft if the driver wasn't available - great service!

We arrived late because of our flight. Since they didn't have the room we had reserved with two queen beds and a pullout, the manager comped us for an adjoining room. I was impressed with the customer service here.

Food was atrocious, staff were awesome and the room average. It's a hotel by the airport and not particularly close to the areas of Charleston where you'd want to visit. Still, the staff were competent, professional and personable. Their so-called breakfast offering was truly to be avoided. Grease, repetitive, tasteless and full of sugar, it is definitely something to avoid. 0 veggies, 0 decent fruits -unless you call mushed up bananas and old oranges fruits-, 0 choice in cereals and such, the food in this property was by far the worst part of the entire trip.

The check-in and check-out was very simple. Very nice lobby, the breakfast was ok. They only had oatmeal and we like grit, they did have eggs, sausage, and other breakfast items. We were very unhappy about the pool being closed. they said it was closed due to the possibility of a storm but when we went to go to the pool it was clear and blue sky. The storm never came our way.
