Great pet friendly stay! Complimentary bike rental was a nice surprise. Our stay included free coffee bar and breakfast, both nice. Outdoor cabana cushions needed cleaning from birds stopping there. Pool was closed for renovation, but will be nice when finished. I would stay again.

I was very disappointed with my stay at Jekyll Island Holiday Inn. The pool water was cloudy and dirty. You could not see the bottom so swimming was out. The door on the backside out to the pool area would get stuck and therefore hard to open. The key card reader for that door didn’t work so I would have to walk all the way around the building to get back into my room. My Mama was traveling with me and has mobility issues. We looked forward to using the pool but due to its condition we could not. On checkout day, I was loading the car and the maid unlocks our door without even knocking and walks in on my Mother. It was not past the checkout time. The shower curtain was sour. I stayed at this location several years ago and was pleased. It has gotten rundown and very disappointing. I will not stay at this location again. The front desk staff was very helpful.

I had to call maintenance 3 times the first day to fix the safe, tell me one of the outlets wasn't working, and get the cable box to work. The pool heater was running when it was 92 degrees outside which made the pool temperature way too warm (probably above 90 degrees. The pool was dirty. The people in the room above us were jumping off the bed and making an obscene amount of noise and when we called the front desk, they didn't want to do anything.

The beach access was easy and nice. The pool was comfortable and I loved the access to the tiki bar (although closed on Monday :-( ). The pool was pretty clean but the corners did accumulate some film/bugs. Towels were a consistent issue as they were not re-stocked in the pool area. The air conditioning filter was very gross! All in all it was decent, not bad, not great. it does look like they are remodeling!

I rarely leave reviews, but the service here was so poor, I felt compelled. I booked a 2 Queen room with an ocean view on the first floor. Upon arrival, I was given a single King with no view. When I pointed out the error, I was met with suspicion and called a liar until I showed my reservation. They eventually gave me a 2 Queen room—still no view—and it reeked of cigarette smoke. When I asked for a different room, I was told nothing else was available. There were several options available on their website. During my 4-day stay, housekeeping was advertised as daily but never came. After two days, I requested towels, sheets, and trash removal. They finally came the next day, made one bed, didn’t touch the other, left no towels, and ignored the trash. I went to the desk and asked for clean sheets to change them myself. The man in uniform ignored me. A woman eventually came out, told me “no” outright, then begrudgingly handed over sheets—blood-stained ones. The pool was cloudy and clearly uncleaned. The lobby is nice and the location is great, but if I’m paying $300+ per night, I expect basic service and cleanliness. We visit Jekyll 1–2 times a year, but I won’t be staying at this Holiday Inn again.

Entire place needs TLC and a deep clean. Pool tiles very dirty and pump not working so there’s a film on the water. Room smells, rug needs shampoo, furniture dirty. Door seal not working properly. Doors need to be slammed shut. Rust on tub, peeling paint, sink coming off sides, AC coming off and filter not changed in long time. Door lock coming off, dirt stains on walls and tub faucet not working properly. One outlet either had mold or appeared to have had a fire before. Location is beautiful and this place really could be amazing. Been here three times over the years and it’s worse each time. Embarrassed to bring family or friends. Please clean up.

Sheets dirty, not enough towels for four guests. The island itself is beautiful. Foe what we were charged. Im jot sure we would ever return. Well atleast to this place. There's no clear number to connect with the staff. They were nice we just expected more. Just a few pictures. These really dont show the true nature. Had roaches. Spider webs all throughout the room. For a resort. The cleaning was just bad!

Overall, we enjoyed this property. The location was great, and we loved having easy access to the pool, hot tub, and ocean. My critiques are this: One, the room was not the cleanest it could have been - hair in the shower, marks on pillowcases, and a giant cockroach that we woke up to on the wall above us (having lived between South Florida and Georgia, I am somewhat empathetic to bug situations but it's gross and I know very well it can be avoidable). The cute cabana chairs facing the ocean (seen in many photos) are great, except that the sprinkler systems are aimed directly at them, so most of them were soaked beyond use for our entire visit. I don't know that we would stay again based on cleanliness.

The pictures online are very flattering…. Real life… not so much. We visited in November. The hot tub was ice cold. Our room was dirty. The staff was indifferent. Our room smelled horrible. The toilet ran all night.

Our stay was great. Our room was large but it’s an older resort. Room smelled musty on arrival not sure if it was a dog friendly room. Location is wonderful away from the crowd in the village area- beach was amazing and somewhat secluded!! Ocean view seemed like ocean front - would stay again and request the same building.

grounds were nice and on the beach. furniture was very old and paint peeling on many surfaces outside. bed was comfortable. The price per night was double what I consider fair given all conditions of this property. I was shocked when they charged me a resort fee of $30/day. In room coffee machine did not work.

We love staying here for the ocean view from our room. This was our fourth time staying and the first time we paid for an "ocean view" room with no view of the ocean (due to trees/bushes directly in front of our room). The new restaurant on property is great as well.

The property (amenities and staff) were just fine. The location is wonderful. Unfortunately, in my opinion, the rooms and the building itself have seen better days. The noise in the room above of was shocking, not because they were excessivly loud but because the barriers are so old and outdated, you could hear every foot step, turning on a sink, turning on the shower, etc. I contacted the front desk, they offered to move us to another room, but it was 9:00 p.m. After the people above showered, got settled, and put their children to bed, it was quiet. I was offended when I spoke with the manager the next day that she tried to hide the fact the rooms were loud. She told me "you must be a light sleeper." I informed her it was not me, but outdated rooms that were overpriced for the quality. The rooms themselves and bathrooms were very outdated. When I spoke to staff person prior to speaking to the manager, the staff person was very aware of the noise problems and had heard complaints before. The Manager was bold enough to tell me how she picks rooms when she travels to avoid noise problems. She never offered anything in return for my problems but excuses.

The view was wonderful and everything was great but we had issues with the ac in our room which made it bad because of how hot it was outside. The maintenance guys did come several times but nothing they did fixed it. They did take some money off my bill though. I loved the size of the room and it was right on the beach. Everything else was wonderful and I would definitely stay there again! The staff was very polite and helped as much as they could!

There was a faulty smoke detector in my room - it kept going off randomly. After I alerted the Front Desk about the issue, the staff was very responsive. They handled the issue very well and took really good care of me. The resort is right on the beach, and has a lot of really lovely amenities. I hope I can come back again soon!

Typically, I really like this property. I've stayed here before with my family and we typically rent 2 or more rooms. We love the convenience of it being next to the beach and the accommodations are great. Unfortunately, I have 2 complaints. The guy at the front desk had a terrible attitude. All other staff was great but him. Second complaint, Expedia boosts about advising the total cost of the room, however, the hotel charged me an additional $100 per room to cover resort fees. I was disappointed find out the hotel said they are not paid enough from Expedia to cover all their costs.

I had a reservation for a king ADA mobility accessible room what I got was a queen bed and a room for hearing impaired. I mentioned this upon check-in and the front desk person didn’t seem to care and said he didn’t have any other rooms available. I mentioned that I needed a bathroom with the bars and got a bathroom with just one bar next to the shower. Then I used the shower and water just shot out of the handle. I thought that water must be going into the wall since it was just pouring out in all directions. When I get out and look at the outside wall of the bathroom it was soaked and the rug was wet. Who know if that room also had mold. I did go back to the front desk and complained to Valerie the assistant manager. Luckily we were only there one night as it was just a pit stop for us. It was not enjoyable. The back access is amazing and they have plenty of parking. There was an odd smell in the morning which may be due to a nearby paper mill. We ended up getting a refund for the room, but it’s really disappointing that a person with disabilities has to go through this. It’s shameful that there was such a lack of empathy from the front desk staff upon check-in. We had reserved the right room. You shouldn’t be allowed to change an ADA room reservation.

Some of the front desk staff were less than friendly. It felt like helping us was inconvenient. We asked about the shuttle when we checked in. We were told there were no staff to drive it. The shuttle was one of the factors in deciding in this hotel. Also when we checked in we were told we missed out on amenities by not booking direct. Basically the only breakfast option was a full buffet. Consider a continental option. Our room was visibly clean but we found a girls swimsuit from a prior guest. The fridge and coffee maker were nice. It seemed many of the guests come annually. We enjoyed borrowing bikes for a ride around part of the island. Tours of the island depart from this location so that was convenient. We needed additional towels si we called the front desk. It rang several times before being answered. We were told to please hold then after 4 minutes. We were disconnected. We tried two more times being disconnected each time. We ended up going down and getting the towels. We came by another time with a question and couldn’t find the front desk staff. Another guest found them chatting with a coworker down the hall. This was the same case when we came to check out on another day. The pool was nice and well maintained. The beach area is very small. The bike paths are great, We may or may not stay again.

I love the big picture windows where the ocean view is stunning! I enjoyed the fire pit and the proximity to the beach! This beach is so flat here and so walkable! The property is clean and staff was friendly and accommodating. This property is not a brand new property! But we picked this place because we don't like looking at lots of other hotels and condos! We loved having a beach that was NOT crowded! Thank you for providing us with a wonderful beach stay!

The location is good, in front of the quite Jekyll island beach, good for family vacation, there are biking roads, holiday in provides bike free of cost for 2 hours, plenty of space in front of hotel room to play and hanging out. good swimming pool. Our queen premium room was medium spacious. What we didnt like much is the hotel room carpet was not clean , it was smelly, TV was not great. little bit upgrade is needed. the break fast(with extra payment) provided by beach house not great. Still I would recommend this hotel for a family vacation considering all facilities like outer space, pool, beach view, bike road, morning and evening walk, garden etc. Their front desk staff was nice and gentle. thanks !

Definitely not a resort experience. Amenities like ice were inconveniently located. No coffee maker in room. No bottled water offered. Breakfast was way overpriced - and normally included at Holiday Inns. Shower leaked which caused bath floor to be a ship hazard.

The property itself was well maintained and the access to bikes for a couple hours a day was very nice. The two negative things... The order window to the restaurant was closed with a note to go inside. Other hotels we have stayed at in the area provided a nice order window that you could access to purchase food/drinks from outside and didn't make you put shoes back on to go inside. We did not purchase anything from that restaurant as a result. The "Free Coffee" sounded amazing until we found that the 3rd Floor had zero AC in the coffee shop area and the barista did not have a cooler or any means to provide anything beyond your basic gas station coffee options. That was a bigger let down for my wife and children and they had to make trips to the Starbucks on the island as part of the Westin as a result. Enjoying some food/drinks by the pool and some decent coffee on the 3rd floor overlooking the beach would have been great. Thanks!

For a very old hotel (although nicely upgraded) the cost ($700) for a roadside view seemed pretty high for just two nights. Beds were very comfortable and room smelled clean and fresh. Breakfasts were wonderful and free meal tickets for kids a definite incentive to eat dinner at that restaurant- food was all very good. All employees were very friendly and helpful. Overall we really enjoyed our stay with our two grandsons.

We had a great stay. We’ve been here before and love the relaxed vibe. Last year the restaurant wasn’t open yet, and what a great addition to the property! All of the staff at the restaurant were kind and accommodating. We are already planning our return for this peaceful little area again.

Loved the location, surroundings, peacefulness. Everything was so well presented. Only bad experience was the on site restaurant. Terrible food, no choices, service was okay(barely). Price was outrageous for 1. What comes free at most hotels was a heck of a lot tastier. Bring down the overall experience for food but not hotel.

This seems like it’s a great place to stay on Jekyll Island. We had two overcast days with 30mph winds so we couldn’t take advantage of all the hotel amenities. We would definitely stay there on a return trip someday. However, the Beach House restaurant next door was a complete flop. Terrible food and not worth the high prices. The breakfast buffet was cold and left a lot to be desired. Go down to the beach village and get some real breakfast food! The price of $26 for 12 small fried shrimp was ridiculous and the steamed spinach was so full of salt that no one could stomach it.

Had the best time at this beautiful resort. Lived that you could easily walk to pool and beach. The beach area was amazing! Can’t say enough about the staff. Everyone was so friendly and went out of the way to make your stay special. The restaurant was so good that we ended up eating all our meals there. The staff there was great and the chefs came out and interacted! We will definitely be back!!
